- Solitary Prayer was commissioned in 2013 by Dutch euphonium virtuoso Robbert Vos. for his CD 'DUAL'.
It was recorded in 2014 together with Altena Brass with conductor Anno Appelo.
The simple opening theme is first presented by euphonium and later by solo-cornet/flügelhorn. Then the slightly extended theme, complemented by a counterpoint in the euphonium, leads into a first tutti. After a further intervention by the soloist, a second, larger tutti passage with wide and grand chords follows, after which the composition is completed in a friendly atmosphere.
The CD 'Dual' can be bought via www.robbertvos.com / iTunes / World of Brass

I feel every note, the sound is gorgeous, the person playing this is moulding the sound d to how he wants it, very very beautiful warm dark sound
Absolutely beautiful. There is no sound like the well-played euphonium. Thank you once again for your artistry my friend.
I love it I can hear it at dawn and it make me feel very good
Thank you :)
As a trombonist, I find this absolutely beautiful! Marvelously played, sir.
Absolutely beautiful! So much emotion in that sound. It tugs at every string of the heart. Bravo Maestro
Many thanks!!
Sem palavras, ficou perfeito 🎉🎉
very beautiful, sounds like "you raise me up" for time to time (solo at 0:36, cornets at 1:20 and 1:55), but still, very nice and absolutely mastered the interpretation !
Beautiful sound and a super performance!
Amazing
This is how beautiful tone sounds. Would that many euphonium players less time on technique and more on tone development.
Robbert Vos es uno de los mejores bombardinistas del mundo, precioso.
