This type of youtuber is what internet is all about, sharing knowlegde and experience in a fun and no nonsense way. i learned revit with youtube because i wanted to make an addition to my house. i got so caught up into it i drafted my entire house, made renders, walkthroughts, checking path of the sun during every season to check where i needed to add windows to have enough sunlight in..was the most fun i ever had learning a new program.

Wow, this is much more than I expected. Great tutorial, well done. I totally agree with you with regards to making video training available. I had the same struggle, then I became the multi-site CAD manager and I just did what I wanted. lol. It's especially crucial now that a modern CAD/BIM professional isn't just working with one CAD system. In the US chemical field we use vanilla CAD, Revit, Recap, Plant 3D, Navisworks, and others. It's more important than ever to be able to quickly find a "how to" on what I'm looking for.

@digitallyaligned thanks for a great tutorial however i am stuck at 5:23:55 where you import CAD formats, as i follow your lead i find that i do not seem to have the CAD file: WSFR58_RESS_CNT DWG - Ground Floor Plan - ARC_N0 - ENG.dwg in the folder '01- Resources for modelling' from the downloaded project files. I have even downloaded the resource files linked beneath your tutorial again today and this CAD file is still missing from the files. I’ve never heard of revit before, but apparently this is a great guide.
I work in the 3D industry with various software creating simulations. This is by far the best tutorial I have encountered. Just finished the tutorial and subscribed. Excellent intro and outro content. Will recommend this to all of my colleagues - much gratitude 🙏

I was about to give up on revit, everyone online is just explaining how you can use the tools but Naim's project approach and BEP is amazing.... Thanks Naim, stay blessed. Wow, this is much more than I expected. Great tutorial, well done. I totally agree with you with regards to making video training available. I had the same struggle, then I became the multi-site CAD manager and I just did what I wanted. lol. It's especially crucial now that a modern CAD/BIM professional isn't just working with one CAD system. In the US chemical field we use vanilla CAD, Revit, Recap, Plant 3D, Navisworks, and others. It's more important than ever to be able to quickly find a "how to" on what I'm looking for.

If you’re having trouble opening the IFC file, I encountered the same issue. If you’re using an older version because the file was uploaded in 2024, it won’t open. By the way, thank you very much for the video! Its helping me a lot as a new learner!

WSFR58_RESS_CNT DWG - Ground Floor Plan - ARC_N0 - ENG.dwg in the folder '01- Resources for modelling' from the downloaded project files. I have even downloaded the resource files linked beneath your tutorial again today and this CAD file is still missing from the files.

Hi mate...I´m in the 1:44:00 of the course...and I have one problme, i cant see the link plans for STR in the level N1. I try with the VG, but it shows me other STR plans. How do I fix that?

Hi, I showed how to display the dwg drawings at 20:43. You need to repeat that same operation on the N1 view if you want to display the DWG drawings on that specific view.
