ok already commenting that even if it's not most requested, this is the kind of niche vid that is what always has me coming back for more haha love your stuff, Alice
they all look so gorgeous, there is no difference between an easy plant and a difficult one in your care 😩 I’m in love with your entire collection btw 😭❤️
Clarinervium was my first love and entry species into anthurium. I saw her at a nursery and the heart-shaped leaves were so stink'n cuuute, I took her home with me. From there, I went down the rabbit hole while searching for care information. She's still my favorite and easy going IMO. + self pollinating, easy care/forgiving, good size leaves - cross pollination limitations, takes a long time for berries to ripen
Clarinervium is one of my favorites! It hated tent conditions and now thrives in my darkish dry (20-30% humidity) bedroom lol I let it dry out until I start to notice the leaves curling then I water thoroughly. It'll be good for 2-3 weeks before it needs water again. I have it planted in pon with drainage. It loves to be ignored lol
Totally agree with you about the Clarinervium, I just can’t get it to grow. The roots are perfect but it just doesn’t grow. Mine have one gangly little leaf at the moment. And that was supposed to be the easy one 🤷♀️
This is super helpful 😊 I'm always trying to find ones that I won't immediately kill 🤣 thankfully most of the ones I've had experience with seem to be relatively easy care 🫶🏻
Hey, Alice, I also have the crystallinum silver special from tropicals and maybe I won the silver special jackpot, but mine is really easy! I keep it in pon mixed with perlite in ambient(40%) but I never let it dry out. After importing it, I kept it in a bin until it rooted nicely, then moved it right out. Same goes for luxurians, which I remember you struggled with as well. I'm thinking maybe they like the airflow they get around the roots with pon? It's honestly the only thing I can think of, because my conditions seem really similar to yours. I hope you have an amazing time in the UK!
My pure besseae aff always crisps up in ambient humidity. Had it in ambient for years, and it grows big beautiful leaves for me, but only the newest leaf is free of crispiness usually. I refuse to raise the humidity so the best I can do is keep its roots wet.
I finally found the dang nursery pots. 😅I’m so excited I was able to make a bulk order now I will always have tall pots. Hoping I can up pot often to get them big
For me personally, Besseae aff are one of the easiest going anthuriums in my collection. I don't know why 😅 The two big ones live in ambient in a soil mix and are just fine. Although they grow a bit slower. Pretty easy for me is also my Veitchii, Forgetii and most hybrids (everything with Papillilaminum is growing like a weed). But I really struggle with Crystallinum. I put one in pon and it grows slightly better, but doesn't really thrive. And also all hybrids with luxurians are somehow tricky. I can't figure out what they want. 😂
The only way my besseae aff grows is in spagnum moss with a little of perlite in a closed vase, cabinet conditions. Thats the only way where leaves dont get yellow and crispy. I tried lots of substrates and yet that is the only one that works after growing the plant for 3 years. 🤷🏽♀️
I have the same issue with my green AOS, and thought it was just me 😅 I haven't been able to figure it out either. Mine is also currently a member of the one-leaf club
You're not the only one who struggles with the Besseae aff… I currently have 6 - I keep trying to fines one that will do well in ambient. No luck so far…
Oh goodness you are the first person that has the same issues with the Anthurium Besseae Af as I do. I am not certain yet, but I may be have figured it out. I'll update in a video if I do!
i find ecua's bess aff's very difficult, but i've had absolutely no issues with my tropicals bess aff she's an ambient dream. I don't know if this is just me tho
I just brought my first anthurium I brought a Anthurium Pallidiflorum I love that plant so much that I brought another one…they are both seedlings and two leaves are yellowing…I guess it’s from shock? I’m not sure but I have both of them accumulating for two weeks..so you know how I can keep the leaves from yellowing???
YOU SHOULD DO A PAP TOURRRR!!! I know they're more common, and people are losing interest, but I LOVE PAPS. 💚

Can you do a video about which anthuriums needs more water and which ones need less?
I have to say I love your hair the length it is. Really beautiful.

I want the KOS so bad. I could kick myself when I didn't buy the one at Kartel D. a few weeks back.
Alice thanks for posting a video even while you’re away. Hope you are getting some rest and family time.

Girl, same 😢 I'm struggling so badly with my clari and king of clari.

Hi. Would you mind confirming which plant store tropicals is? Sorry couldn’t find a recent reference. Thank you!

Can I say again, that difficult BVEP is my dream BVEP

My besseae AFF is only a leaf-less stump 😅 I really do love this one tho

Anthuriums in general are the hardest plants in my collection. Alocasia and monstera are a breeze in comparison
Where do you acquire the large clear pots from? Like the one your KOS is in.
I don’t have the Crystallinum Silver Special but I have the Crystallinum Silver White from Tropicals and it’s been a pain to grow since day one…😢😢😆😆
Please update cutting ❤❤❤
Where is a good place to get a pure pap? Or at least a pureish pap?
I just brought my first anthurium I brought a Anthurium Pallidiflorum I love that plant so much that I brought another one…they are both seedlings and two leaves are yellowing…I guess it’s from shock? Mwah! Thank you!
I don’t understand the difference between horticulturally vs. 3:40 the other kind when you were talking about true paps.
I can really see the red in your crystallinum. It’s very obvious.
