Relient K is one of these rare bands i have listened to almost their entire discogrophy and never get tired of it. Always a joy, always positive.
Roll the car windows down, hand out into the air, kind of song for the soul.
This album was worth buying
I'm a little disturbed to say that I understand this song better now than I did when it was new.
Am I the only one who thinks this was a collab with Adam Young of Owl City? I'm 99% sure I hear his voice in here, especially the speaking voice in the line "A novel idea"! Also explains the synthesizers!!
I know this is an old comment, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that he did the production on this. Not sure about the spoken vocals but the production was him, unless I'm misremembering things.
Adam Young and Relient K actually have worked with each other in the past. I've grown up with both Owl City and Relient K, and the lead singer from Relient K can be heard in some songs of Ocean Eyes.
Josiah Bates yeah Matthew Thiessen actually toured with Owl City during the Cinematic tour

Yeah but Relient K sounds so unique... coldplay is, well, coldplay. All their music sounds so similar and samey.
Clint Elsik Try and tell me that all 7 albums and Coldplay's discography sounds the same. Tell me that Yellow and Clocks has the same feel as Adventure of a Lifetime and A Sky Full of Stars. Coldplay is no where near the "Every song sounds the same" camp!
don't say against Coldpay. They are great and unique! And of course also Relient K.
