A secular property classified in 2005 as a 'Property of National Public Interest'; with Cistercian architectural features, it is the only Portuguese farmhouse originally built during the medieval period, and the best preserved in the whole of the Iberian Peninsula. Set in a bucolic landscape, on the plain between Alcobaça and Nazaré, it has the Pinhal de Leiria as a natural barrier and the sea on the horizon.
