This is so poignant, sad but beautiful and superbly narrated with empathy by Matt Bomer. It really pulled at my heart strings and I felt such sadness for George for various reasons but the deepest because Ben didn’t acknowledge him as his partner until a month before his death, even though they spent over 50 happy years together. Love is love, we don’t choose our sexual orientation or who:we love.
Matt, my 19. Year old grandson just came out to me ( his grandma ) of course it took him a trip to the emergency room and put on a suicied watch . When he told me I said to him that I loved him and was very proud of him and I am ! If you read this let me know if there is a GLESEN in the Toledo ,Ohio erea . Love you Matt ❤️👵🏼

the Hawaiian writer of the story was, yes. as for Matt, probably also yes because he grew up in Texas & that's got quite a closed culture too.. you can probably find a vid of him talking about his own personal experiences in other places, like real interviews etc. while this video was actually a "reading" of a short but moving autobiography by someone getting help from the MPTF. ♡
