Bravo France ! I'm delighted to discover this video and learn of this most distinguished honour for Brett. I felt that slight sting of tears in my eyes watching this. I'm so pleased to see this unique and sweet man acknowledged for a performance that will live for the ages.
The Legion d'honneur can make up for Brett not getting a BAFTA for Holmes. An utterly baffling thing ! And so again, bravo France.

It's that era, it feels so familiar, even though today we're not anywhere near as courteous, respectful or excellent manners and pronunciation, along with great sets, clothes, props and add Brett, amazing series.
