I must say..these are awesome slippers ..I made 1for my granddaughter..when the others seen them..they wanted one lol I have made four of all different sizes n I have one more to make..you are a very good teacher..thank you times 5
Thank you for the very detailed instructions. I am a beginer but I made three slippers for my son and daughter-in law following your tutorial! They love them and I am already making the fourth.
Excellent tutorial! Thank you. I have one made out of very course hemp cord. I used a size J/6mm hook, and tried to subtract 33% of the amount of the stitches you were doing. So, when you said "18", I did 12, and when you were doing 28, I did 19. The shape came out fine, and the width is perfect. However, mine turned out 11 inches long, which is too long for my foot. I wear a 9 1/2 woman's shoe. So, 10 inches probably would've been perfect. (edit from here). My husband just got home and I showed him. He said that because my big toe almost reaches the length, that is probably the correct size. There is some extra material where the smaller toes angle and it leaves a bit of material, but he's probably correct. I will proceed with the other one, and then try sewing my slippers to the soles. I'll let you know how they come out.
9/22/23: THANK YOU so much. These slippers are so cute👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾. How nice to have a video SHOWING how to do things. I do not really KNOW how to read a pattern book.❤️❤️❤️✝️🙏🏾🎯
Thank you so much for your tutorials making these converse boots I have made ones in all different sizes and family just love them and even the baby ones.
@@StephanieZed Please help me. I crocheted the XL Sole and it came out an inch and a half longer than yours. I followed your instructions meticulously and used the same materials. So I decided to experiment with the Large sole. But the video for the large soles begins with the same round 1 as the XL, so I can't see how it's going to be any smaller.
Hello Stephanie where can I find how to continue after the sole ? Do you have any slipper pattern I can use this sole for? Because I can’t find it? Thank you very much for all your beautiful and clear instructions. I have made 4 of. Your crop tops and they turned out fantastic, regards Renate❤❤
Thank you very much. It is a good start for me, but ... I want to make slippers for Hubby he wears shoe sz 11EEE (extra wide). It is nearly impossible to find shoes that fit him. His feet are approximately 4" wide at the toe and only 2"-2 1/2" at the heal (great if you're a duck LOL). I want to make them to be a perfect fit. Any suggestions?
If you can, I would trace his foot. Try the XL and change the Single crochet stitches to HDC around the toe portion. Make them about 1" shorter then his foot, because it will stretch.
Does it matter what size the yarn is? i'm currently using a thick t-shirt and I would like to know if that means that I need to make the chain shorter.
I used a #4 medium weight 100% acrylic yarn. It did not say a number for ply. You can use any yarn, the size will just come out slightly different. Enjoy making these. 😊
@@StephanieZed I don't understand which size or weight yarn to use to get the correct size. When you say "medium" weight how many Wraps Per Inch (WPI) was your yarn?
What yarn did you use? i used caron one pound for the medium and it seemed the size of a large, but i used big twist and the medium was the size of a small. I want to be as accurate as possible to the given sizes.
@@StephanieZed Thank you ma'am...:0) Love the sneakers, will attempt to make them. I have always struggled to make good soles, but your instructions increased my confidence, Thank you
You should probably increase around the toe and heel or it will start to curl up. Just make sure when you add your stitches it ends with an even number. Also, depending on your yarn, the slippers will usually stretch as well. I hope that helps.
I can't figure out what I am doing wrong! I've done the first round about 6 times now and it's always WAY longer than 7 inches when its time to measure. I keep going down a size for the hook and pulling out thinner yarn. I finally got my chain to be 7 inches when I used a 3.5 mm, size E, hook and baby weight yarn. It MUST be me because it seems to be working out fine for everyone else. I REALLY want to make these slippers.
Stephanie - For Round 4 what you're doing vs what's at the top of the screen are confusing to me. I "get" that we Ch1 and 2 sc into the same stitch to start the round. After that, I can't tell which of the sc are in their own stitch and which should be a 2sc into the same stitch. it just says SC, SC, 2SC, SC, 2SC - how are they distributed? Is this over 5 stitches, with the 3rd and 5th stitch having 2sc in them? Thank you!

Hi, my size is a bit finniky, I fit shoes 39/40, but sometimes I'll fit 38, so should I use the large or medium tutorial?
I would use medium, they will stretch😊
Is this a universal sole, meaning right and left are both the same pattern?
Thank you and peace be with you
Yes. It is the same. 😃
Do you have printed instructions for these? Thank you so much. Blessed new year to you and yours.
At this time I do not have written patterns for my videos. I just write out the steps on the top as you go along. Happy Crocheting. :)

You will just have to see how your measurement compares to what is posted.
What kind of thread do you use for the soles? Warm greetings from Germany
I am using a #4 medium weight 100% acrylic yarn.
I want to use a cord yarn what is the counting of that!?
Excellent baby...❤ But show me tha full sleeper crochet

Thank you! This helps me to make my own slippers now.
Great!
I must have done something wrong bcuz I’m only getting 9” on my soul! But I completely followed your video! Hmmm! 🤔🤔🤔
I am not sure. Remember it will stretch. So a bit shorter than your foot is okay. You’ll see it when you start the sides.
What do you mean by MEDIUM WEIGHT yarn. Is it 2 ply, 3 ply or what?
I used a #4 medium weight 100% acrylic yarn. It did not say a number for ply. You can use any yarn, the size will just come out slightly different. Enjoy making these. 😊

You have to experiment with the yarns. Every time I used a different yarn it came out slight different.
So do we use the yarn under yarn over method?
You can use either for this pattern. Yarn under will give a tighter stitch.

What do you do after you have the sole made?
Make the converse slipper😊😃
I started with a large but im not quite sure it fits, should i just keep sc until it does fit? Rather than unraveling and starting over?
You should probably increase around the toe and heel or it will start to curl up. Just make sure when you add your stitches it ends with an even number. Also, depending on your yarn, the slippers will usually stretch as well. I hope that helps.
Or the last row you can do Half Double Crochet instead of Single Crochet.
What about sizes 42 43 ?
Depending on the size of hook and yarn you use, the large or extra large can be adjusted.
