AEW managed to produce one of their best shows with no audience. Love how they had the guys in the crowd. Just made the show better. Compare this fantastic show with a three hour raw showing two hours of Royal Rumble footage. Ridiculous. Thank you AEW.

The look on Jericho's eyes when he sees matt hardy is so telling of a great story to come. It would have been insane on this debut in front of a crowd. That is 3 great reveals in 2 weeks. Brodee Lee, Archer, and now Hardy. Very exciting.

Totally agree on both. I was screaming and holding up my hands in my chair when I saw Matt Hardy, even though I knew it was coming. Whoever's idea it was to have the wrestlers at ringside and let MJF/Spears be such a part of it from the "crowd" was brilliant.

I find him to be so pathetic these days, and don't get me started on his terrible band. Fozzy is one of the worst rock bands I've ever heard, on par with Nickleback but even more of an amateur shit show. I never liked them, and it baffles me how they're still together. Then again it all comes down to the fact that Jericho became famous through WWE (ungrateful asshole), and if it weren't for that he wouldn't be in the position he is, nor would the band still be together.

AEW definitely made the empty arena less awkward than WWE. It also didn’t hurt they delivered 2 bombshell debuts while NXT was sleeping!
They did it right, heels on one side of the crowd, faces on the other, and darkening the seats beyond the first few rows.
MJF and Spears betting made it even more entertaining.

How is it, even under these circumstances, you put on a fantastic show like this. I didnt understand how you could pull off a massive reveal like the exalted one, I felt like it would be underwhelming. Instead I got two reveals and popped for both of them. Popped hard for matt hardy. Love AEW
AEW's idea of getting other wresters to cheer those who are wrestling is brilliant, it feels way less cringy than WWE. However, Edge's silent arena promo was actually more effective without an annoying crowd, it felt like a 2006 shoot promo.

I was expecting Mox to be one to level up proceedings, genuinely wasn't expecting the Matt debut. Great moment, just a shame there wasn't thousands of people going insane as the soundtrack to this, because it was one of the best moments on Dynamite.

It was easy to see from a mile away that the Broken gimmick wasn't going to work in WWE.
1. It wasn't a WWE creation. Vince hates anything successful that he didn't think up and will most likely than not either actively bury it or push it aside and ignore it
2. Commentary (particularly Michael Cole) treated it like the dumbest thing in the world. When commentary actively buries anything, it's a guarantee failure because you know management doesn't want it to succeed

In the 70's when WWWF at that time it was know the AWA had better talent.
In the 80's Vince broke away from the NWA calling it the WWF and no matter how much it became popular. WCCW and JCP had way better talent. WCCW was the best.
In the 90's ECW was truely dominant and the obvious. Both WCW and WWF stole from them both talent and ideas
Today AEW, ROH, NJPW. way better than WWE and there weak future talent. Goldberg and Lesner are the only reasons to watch it. Not Rollins and Reigns

Why the hell should he be with less talent wrestlers that are more like cartoon characters just like the 80's and early 90's. Rollins and Reigns couldn't hold Moxley's jock and Jericho is the man of that company and Matt Hardy is in great hands. Great things could come in AEW

This is a great moment in wrestling history, & heartbreaking to watch in retrospect.
As I type this, 18 March 2020 stands out in my near-30-year wrestling fandom as one of it's absolute lows. Nobody was certain what would happen to our world, let alone to wrestling, a greater length of time from now. The first of a long lack of fans sucked the life out of everyone a little.
But this was still a company-- nay, a *movement* that had only been growing & its spirit has never extinguished ever since people looked around the world at what great wrestling what happening outside of certain perimeters. I've been following all this since about January of 2018, not long before All In happened.
Thank God people in wrestling still believe in wrestling. Even when a deadly virus no one knew jack about at the time, had to keep you in an empty building for a while.
I hope you guys read this, see how far you've come, & truly give yourselves great congratulations & gratitude for the immense good you've done this business, & are continuing to do for it.
You've changed the world. Keep going. A-e-dub.

One of the most important moments of the show for me was Jericho acknowledging that theres no fans.

It made the show better. And the fact that Jericho even told us theres no fans allowed until he says so. LOL. God damn. It was so subtle and obvious, but jericho pointing that out made him feel more in your face and that he realizes what hes doing. It just made it better. Imagine how people will pop when the social distancing is over and they see jericho for the first time live in awhile. And imagine his response after saying theres no more fans allowed? Lmfao
