Even Broken Instruments Can Sing Out, Too (an improvisation)

(Yes, I am aware that my piano technique leaves much to be desired.)

Anyway, this was my final for my Linehan seminar at UMBC. I'd originally planned to do a much more ambitious duet outdoors, but I got rained out and had to make do with what I had. I'm happy with how this turned out--it gets a little weird in the middle, but that's kind of the point. It's our flaws and idiosyncrasies that make us human, and imperfection can be kind of...beautiful.
I also want to give huge credit to Jeremy, my collaborator on this: he's such an amazing musician, which you can tell from this improv: he really listened and responded and helped make an amazing piece. He was also a really good sport about all the last minute changes I had to make about the project. Thank you, Jeremy!
