The piano makers were determined that the bass strings would damp well, that’s for sure! A new feature I haven’t heard of before. Interesting piano and a good looking one too, thank you for sharing.
No question, an outstanding upright. And cosmetically very attractive too, to me anyway - more character than the boring optically (but brilliant otherwise) modern Steinway K I have.
I couldn't imagine having to get rid of my piano because someone moved in but mine is in my bedroom and takes up a lot less wall space than a modern piano so I thankfully don't have to worry about that.
@@RobertsPianos I have a strait strung upright with 77 keys and 2 strings per note from the 1880s and it sounds like a forte piano which is what I write for. It's playable but still needs a lot of work that I want to start once I get all the parts I need together.
This small boutique company has a wonderful reputation, right up there with the bigger better known German makes. Still making superb pianos today.
