I can't say it enough, but out of alot of K-pop I've seen, ONEUS/RBW really creates truly artful music, especially for a pop boy group. There are definitely other K-pop solo/groups who create beautiful music, but like you said, ONEUS hits different. The choreo, the delicateness of the vocals I feel like it is really not 'mainstream' (at least based on other recent boy group releases whom shall not be named).
ToMoon will continue to fight and work for our boys to spread the word on their awesomeness. Thank you as always for the reaction!! ❤
You said it ONEUS is a masterpiece and this song and MV does not dissapoint us. I have recently been listening to VIXX's Shangri-La on repeat after not listening to it for a while and this song and MV are so reminscent of it but still so unique at the same time, it's my kryptonite when it comes to concepts in K-Pop.
This! Shangri-La was one of my old favs and this brought the nostalgia right back. This concept is top tier for me.
Does straykids thunderous counts as traditional concept?
This whole thing just encapsulates Korean Beauty in every way, vidually, instrumentally even lyrically, there's not a single English lyric, keeping to the concept. And you are right, they own this concept!

can i just say that i LOVE how the three choruses are all different. the 1st one was the standard chorus, the 2nd one had a fake drop and build up until the second part and then the 3rd one had these really loud drums and it's way more epic!
i really appreciate when producers do this because it keeps surprising us and it makes the song interesting (like Everglow's Dun Dun)
Honestly this might be SOTY for me, bar none. Using some of the lyrics from Intro: Window as the prechorus was brilliant and the lyrics as a whole are just as stunning as the music video. If you get a minute to read through them I highly HIGHLY recommend it. Also Hwanwoong and the Born Black team really outdid themselves with the choreo and my only wish would be that the MV showcased it more but I guess that's what performance videos are for.
And I think what you're hearing in the last chorus isn't Choi Yerim but an ajaeng or some similar stringed instrument!
For me, this song was JUST MASTERPIECE!!! I cried because of the meaning of this song. The meaning was so beautiful too. You would like other songs. I feel so happy and super excited about this comeback. My only wish is to give them their first trophy. So I will be STREAM more!!!
At the final chorus, it is actually Keonhee harmonizing Seoho's first part.
Let us appreciate the facts that xion has an official line for that 2 verses ...the 2nd one sound so perfect that i kinda completely understand why he was put there .. hahahah.. dongju center in the end? I love it..😍
I haven't take a look of the lyrics but I saw this comment about ravn, this was on Moonbyul's radioshow today: "they're talking abt how they changed ravn's rap signature 'ra spit out flame' to 'ra yooksijo' (which means 'ra recites poetry') bc the whole song was in korean and moonbyul was so impressed by the attention to detail 🥺", and I just want to point how they portrait so well their own culture, just like LIT they decided again to not include a single word in english because this is about their roots, their identity, this is Oneus in their most unique way. Also, if you read this, can you please react to one of their live stages? It would be nice :)

Might this be my favourite Oneus title track now?? I just adore the elegant and traditional concepts sooo... I also love the delicate balance between the calmer instruments and the more driving momentum at parts (especially the chorus). And I feel like some of the melodies are kind of quoting their "Intro: Window" song, where Choi Yerim was singing instead, which is just such a neat way to tie things together across the album, and it makes me wonder if they're quoting some kind of folk melody again (like they did in "Lit" for the pre-chorus). Also, Xion finally gets lines! XD Also, this totally feels like it could be the successor to VIXX's "Shangri-La" especially with the fan choreo too! :o
ONEUS do art. Everything about them is ART. Their versatility still surprises me. Dongju floored me in this! So lovely to see how his confidence has grown AND Hwanwoong did everyone proud with his chorus choreo! ONEUS are the high art kings of kpop. idk about you guys but I LOVED the Ravn and Hwangwoon combo en the pre-chorus in the MV. This kings don't dissapoint
I just know that I wasn´t interested in kpop until I found MAMAMOO and therefore ONEUS. I couldn´t help but falling in love with them and how talented they are. And don´t get me started with Purple Kiss. Those girls are fire sweet!

We are just the same. We have the same bias (Leedo roar~), the same reaction, same favorite parts and plan... I was just like "are you my twin ?". I love so much Oneus, they NEVER did a bad comeback, this guys are THE BEST. They deserve the world, and the world need them

This video is so amazing. It's such a fairy tale vision. In thinking about who else does anything like this I would call out Stray Kid's Thunderous or Oh My Girl's performance of Destiny on Queendom.
I'm not sure if I'm just cherry picking here but when I think about, RBW seems to looking to traditional Korean culture more than I see elsewhere. We have this and Lit and then Moonbyul's solo stage with the drums and the male hanbok. Also some of the instrumentation in Aya. Purple Kiss making frequent use of hanboks in their dance covers. Solar being a judge on a music show show casing traditional Korean music. She's also done stages with a couple of different trot singers.
