Eine kleine Geschichte zu diesem Lied, vielleicht interessiert sich ja irgend jemand da draußen dafür... 🤔 Im Januar 1990 habe ich meine Abitur-Prüfungen geschrieben und auf dem Weg zur Schule, zu den Prüfungen, habe ich auf Casette immer dieses Lied im Autoradio gehört; zufällig war es auf dem Band direkt vor Nenas "Wunder geschehen" (worauf ich dringend gehofft hatte... 😉). Ja, damals hat man seine Musik noch mühevoll aus dem Radio auf Casette mitgeschnitten... Diese beiden Lieder haben als "Mutmacher" schon bei den letzten Klausuren vor den Abschlußprüfungen funktioniert, und bei den Prüfungen dann zum Glück auch!!! Ich sehe heute die Finger eines 50-Jährigen diesen Text eintippen, aber mit jedem Ton des Liedes erwacht die Zeit von damals mehr und mehr zum Leben. Und ich Frage mich voll Wehmut, wo diese vielen Jahre, Jahrzehnte nur geblieben sein mögen... But it's over, it will never be the same 😭😭😭

Mal waren sie schön, mal schmerzhaft.... Meine Ehefrau habe ich auch damals kennen und lieben gelernt. Wir sind schon über 30 Jahre zusammen und bleiben es hoffentlich nochmal mindestens 30 Jahre. Bin jetzt 53 und dankbar, dass ich die 80er Jahre durchleben durfte, ohne Handy, ohne Internet und zum Glück auch ohne C.....!
Ich hab auch 01/90 Abi geschrieben ;-) - waren geile Zeiten damals, oder? Oft wünsch ich sie mir zurück.... mit dem Wissen von heute - ob ich etwas anders machen würde? Auf jeden Fall genieße ich die Nostalgie, die mich dabei überkommt diese Musik wieder zu hören....

Danach lief es zwar auch wie auf Schienen - aber eben auf holprigen Schienen, rückwärts und irgendwie immer den Berg hinunter... 😂 Ob ich mit dem Wissen von heute etwas anders gemacht hätte? Ich für meinen Teil vermutlich (fast) alles, aber es hilft ja nix, muß eben jetzt "mit dem Arbeiten" was war - und ab und zu wehmütig in Erinnerungen schwelgen... 😉 Ich sage mal so: Lebenserfahrung ist etwas Kostbares - wenn sie nur nicht untrennbar mit älter (oder alt) werden verbunden wäre. 🤔

Ich glaube, in unserem Alter gibt es kaum jemanden, der völlig ohne Bedauern auf einige Sachen zurückblickt..... aber ohne Tiefs gibts auch keine Hochs.... also versuch ich mein momentanes Leben bis zum Limit zu genießen ;-)
@@beltane6645 Natürlich gibt es immer Hochs und Tiefs, wobei ich mich für meinen Teil schon gefreut hätte, wenn es etwas weniger Tiefs und ein paar mehr Hochs gewesen wären... 😉 Aber Du hast schon Recht, ob das Verhältnis ausgeglichener gewesen wäre oder die Waage vielleicht sogar ein wenig mehr in Richtung der Hochs ausgeschlagen hätte, wenn andere Entscheidungen getroffen worden wären, ist natürlich überhaupt nicht gesagt! Das Leben bis zum Limit genießen ist absolut Pflicht (auch wenn das - finanzielle - Limit manchmal recht eng ist...😂)!!! Meine Mama (die inzwischen leider an Demenz im finalen Stadium leidet...) hat früher immer zu mir gesagt: "Genieße Dein Leben, so lange Du jung bist! Im Alter ist es zu spät!". Leider habe ich viel zu spät begonnen, auf Mamas Rat zu hören; das würde ich zum Beispiel heute anders machen. 😉 Ich denke, heute würde ich viel mehr die Regie in meinem Leben selbst übernehmen und sie nicht anderen Personen und äußeren Einflüssen überlassen und selbst im Wesentlichen über Jahrzehnte nur noch Akteur im eigenen Leben sein... Aber so what! 50 (ups, inzwischen ja auch schon 51...) ist das neue 30, also lassen wir's krachen, so lange es noch geht!!! 😁

@@dieseldog00 So, while i love Jennifer dearly, i prefer Robin's version on this. The power, the edginess, the pain and emotion... Jennifer's version is great, but it's a much lighter pop ballad. Robin's version is a full on power ballad. And Jennifer's version doesn't have Luke on the guitar... 😋
