A different challenge I did was a duo fight at the start of game with the grafted scion. Its a fun challenge because you are stuck with a default class and only a single bar's worth of hp and fp. Unlike malenia the scion is not passive, you will have to deal with 2 enemys trying to actively kill you. Probably the best proof I can say is that I know depending on which scion you kill first you could potentially become immortal for the remainder of the fight. I did keep trying because I wanted a win that wasn't earned through an exploit. I did get a proper win, took a while.
One thing I never understood is why FROM added the feature (nerf) that is you were fighting more than one boss at the same time and that if you were engaged with one the other one(s) would "hang back." Not sure why, but that always bothered me. I just thought it was an unnecessary mechanic to add after release.
It makes these fights less frustrating if you're doing them solo Of course this is not at all what's happening here, this is just Malenia's ai by default haha
