Thin Lizzy are an Irish hard rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. Their music reflects a wide range of influences, including blues, soul music, psychedelic rock and traditional Irish folk music, but is generally classified as hard rock or sometimes heavy metal.
Gary Moore lit a fire in Thin Lizzy on Black Rose. Waiting For An Alibi, a Top 10 hit, is the band’s most electrifying song. Driven by Lynott’s killer bass-line and taut narrative, it has a glorious twin-lead riff and a lightning-bolt solo from Moore.

It's not live mate, it's a Top of the Pops performance, try the live from Sydney Harbour Bridge performance,the only thing that maybe live, are Phillips vocals, and did you notice Brian Downey wasn't on drums, the drummer from the Boomtown Rats filled in for this performance.

That it wasn’t Brian Downey the drummer did well so Phil was singing and the rest were not plugged in

Definitely a great choice, Whisky in the jar is well and truly worn out. Phil Lynott RIP said that he hated it in the end to the point that he would say when anyone requested it “oh, not Whisky in the f#@*ing jar!”
