How to dye black hair blonde, lighten black roots and tone them blonde 2023 with Eva Lorman
It's not easy, but if you follow the rules of hair coloring and lightening, everything will work out.
My natural base is 4.0, almost black, very dark brown. In this case, I'm raising it to 8.3 at a time, which is four shades lighter.
Can I lighten all my hair at once? I can immediately say that lightening at the roots and general lightening are slightly different things. By the way, the transition from dark color in general is a little different.
Why are the roots always lightened well? Because the roots are not saturated with dye, and they are close to the warmth of the head.
Is it possible to lighten hair without bleach? Yes, if your hair color is level 8 or higher. In other cases, it is better to use bleach. It may seem scary at first, but it is our helpful friend.
I work with 7.5% bleach and developer. Why 7.5%? Because volume 20. Not enough for me, but it depends on the powder.
How do you determine which developer to use? It's simple: take a sample of the strands at the roots.
How to mix whitening powder? The instructions say 1:2.
How much mixture should I mix? The roots always require 2 scoops of bleach.
What is the processing time? I time it up to 40 minutes after the last application.
