I love that flame swordsman cards just fucking did nothing and trolled for ages and then within 5 seconds of labrynth cards being played the game was over
im not discounting them they cockroached like crazy I just thought it was funny how it flipped from desperate ploys for survival to "I win immediately"
Generaider player did missplay pretty rough, and hindsight is 2020, but they definately should have gotten rid of their own jorm to put laev online, to eat the last backrow. He also simply didnt use jorm the turn his opp draw salamandra fusion, which would have sent the monster on board, or forced out the strike.
I've been quite liking flame swordsman with fire king, island or ulcanix popping mirage let's you get everything for both engines. Just is over shadowed by tenpai for going second with the trade off of being able to set up better interruptions going first but in a way that loses to all the same things as the meta. Unfortunate but I think a very strong engine that's way better as the fire warrior combo version in master duel than ever was in the tcg due to isolde and baronne at the same time as promethean.
I should probably come up with some stupid Isolde Turbo play before MD decides to ban the thing already. Maybe if Hornet Drones was at 2-3 I'd be more inclined to troll people with stupid Token shenanigans.
Look I can’t follow what is happening in yugioh games since Xyz first appeared … but every time I see a boss stage game, I just don’t understand what’s going on, things are just appearing out of nowhere and it seems incredibly ridiculous Is there an inherent drawback of that whole thing, that I should know about?
The deck completely live or dies based on that field spell. If your opponent can either destroy it or otherwise prevent it from resolving, you lose. And because it loses to numerous extremely common answers, everything from Ash Blossom to MST, that’s a pretty common scenario. It also doesn’t win the game all that quickly, despite playing so many big guys, so it’s not uncommon for you to just be ground out of resources before you can win.
The only in-engine way to prevent boss stage from being interrupted is Generaider Boss Room, which is searchable within the Generaider combo itself most of the time, but also requires a discard to use. Many games where I forgot to keep a card in hand to use it then lose instantly lol
@@astercat49 but it just cuts off their method to recover right? They clearly don’t get destroyed or something without the field spell … but I get it, it’s just not special nowadays, just stupidly easy to bring out whatever 😅

It's a Field Spell, so all basic removal stops it. The summon from the Deck can also be negated.
Ash ends their turn, as does literally any MST clone.
