Amen brother. Jesus taught us in Matthew 19:16-17 that is we want eternal life, we are to keep the commandments. Which are the 10 Commandments from Exodus 20:3-17. Think about it. Jesus said, narrow is the path that leads to life (eternal life) and few there be that find it. So if Jesus told us to keep the commandments if we want eternal life, then the narrow way is keeping the commandments. Exodus 20:3-17 How many people do you know that are actively striving to keep the 10 Commandments of God, traveling the narrow path that leads to eternal life? Probably not many because keeping Gods Commandments are difficult for those who are traveling on the broad path and living for worldly pleasures. Daily striving to keep God’s 10 Commandments (in addition to repentance and forgiveness) is the narrow road that Jesus was referring to. I hope you can see the connection. In Jesus name, amen. === “He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” I John 2:4 NKJV
Many is the time I've taken the infeasible path and convincing myself it was the narrow one. You need guidance from on high. Otherwise you'll be playing it straight in a crooked world and you'll get crushed
The narrow way is not a lifestyle of striving against sin - that’s a false gospel of works! The narrow way is BELIEF ALONE IN JESUS CHRIST! To be saved, believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ (who is God in the flesh, the Son of God) on the cross, in His shed blood, in Him taking the wrath of God poured out on Him for you while He was on the cross, in His death, burial, and resurrection to pay for all of your sins and to give you everlasting life (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Hebrews 9:22, 2 Corinthians 5:21, John 3:16, John 6:47). You cannot work/obey your way to Heaven - salvation is the free gift of God (Romans 3:20, Ephesians 2:8-9). Once saved, always saved (Ephesians 1:13). ❤️
Amen 🙏 Jesus did emphasize the importance of both faith and works. While faith is the foundation of our salvation, Jesus also taught that our faith should be accompanied by good works. Our actions should reflect our faith and love for God and others. So, it's not just about believing, but also about living out our faith through acts of kindness, service, and obedience to God's commandments. Faith and works go hand in hand in the teachings of Jesus.
@@studiominonothis video doesn't teach the truth of the narrow path, just as the OP explained. Works are not a salvation issue. Works demonstrate faith but faith does not require works. Notice the pharisees had plenty of works and plenty of boasting. Ephesians 2:8-9 Modern English Version 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, 9 not of works, so that no one should boast.
29.Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30.For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” The "narrow path" is placing your faith in Jesus Christ alone. The "wide path" are those that refuse to do that and think they are good enough on their own.
I'm not sure the width of a path or the size of a gate makes things difficult or easy to traverse, but more difficult to find. As long as you're paying attention, keeping your feet on the path and keeping your eyes on the destination, you'll get to where you're wanting to go. I don't think Jesus was saying the narrow path was a tight rope, just that it may not be immediately obvious or intuitive to locate. "But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

I also believe in a narrow path that only few will take, however I also wonder how it ties in with other scriptures where it says: "Everyone who calls upon the name of e Lord shall be saved" It doesn't make sense to me....
It would seem that calling upon the name of the Lord is equivalent to taking the narrow path. Anyone can do it, however few attempt it. And many who attempt it abandon the path.
@@MatthewKellyAuthor ow yes! Ofcourse! It can also mean indeed a continious calling upon him. Not the once in a lifetime event that most preachers speak about. But then I wonder (thought about this yesterday...) how about kids and mentally disabled people?
I agree with everything said in this video. However, I still wonder about what "few will enter" really means. There are roughly 2.4 billion people on earth who put their faith in Christ as Christians. This number isn't a few. So then what, are only the best 1% of Christians accepted into heaven when they die? What about everyone else? We're all imperfect, we're all sinners. May someone reconcile this confusion here. I seek council with God first, but if any Christians can help explain this, I'd love that.
I agree, there seems to be so much contradiction and yes i pray as well for clarity. A sermon preached "when your needs go unmet' and then preached 'God will meet all your needs'. I grow very weary in this walk, being beaten down and crying out to God for mercy strength endurance and help and it seems the suffering drives me back to the broad path. At age 72 I am very weary of this fight for right in a world of wrong. I am ready to go home, but will I make it thru the narrow gate? Today yes, tomorrow no, taught once saved always saved means what to that situation??
Well let me tell you that this guy Mathew is on the WIDE road as well as most of the people if not all in the comment section. WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE, THROUGH FAITH, NOT OF WORKS, IT IS A GIFT OF GOD, LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST. Many people teach lordship salvation like this guy which will lead you to hell. The narrow way is Jesus Christ. You cannot add nothing to it to be a "better" christian. Simply accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior for the forgiveness of your sins past, present and future. Salvation is simply by faith alone, it is a gift from GOD. I suggest you look up Andrew Farley, Robert Breaker, Onorato diamante, Salvationiseasy on UA-cam and you will understand. GOD bless!
Not everyone is a slave to sin. Not every sin is the same. There’s about 4 list of sins in the new testament that don’t allow you to get into heaven if you don’t repent. At least 2 places in the Bible that describes sin that won’t be forgiven. Google all the verses about eternal judgment would be a good place to start. Then read the whole Bible taking notes and making sure you put things in context. Make sure you understand the new covenant described in the old testament.
@@dansimpson271 The only Sin that is not forgiven is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit aka unbelief in who Jesus Christ is and His finished redemptive work on the cross!
@@christian5051 unbelief isn’t blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. You got that doctrine from man . Go back and read what Jesus says. It’s very clear in the text it was because the Pharisees said belzebub healed the person instead of the Holy Spirit. Also if we don’t forgive Jesus says we won’t be forgiven. The false prophets of the world say you don’t have to have fruit of walking in the Spirit. That’s one of the reasons there are so few going to make it. That’s the next set of verses in Matthew after the narrow road
Not even close. The narrow gate is the one the Bible tells us all is marked with the surrender of our claim on everything we naturally desire and everything that has historically been acceptable to desire. Everything. If you don't understand that, you've not found the gate. If you've never truthfully undergone that, you are not on the path to paradise.
Jesus said marvel not If the world 🌎 hates you. If you love Jesus they will hate you. Jesus took all that for the whole 🌎 world. Nobody likes the suffering road. Jesus said pick up your cross and follow me.
Just remember folks that a Gate is not a Door is not a Veil. God is the Veil. Jesus is the Door. Who is the Gate? "WHO IS SHE? that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?". She is the one true holy and undefiled virgin Daughter of God, the teenage Shulamite farm girl with eyes like doves and matching breasts, twin fawns of a gazelle. She is the Gate into heaven. No one comes to God except through this girl. Anyone attempting to come to God by any other Way is both a thief and a robber. "a crown of 12 stars is upon her head." CLUE: This girl is associated with the archangel Michael, not Gabriel. Do you know who your savior is? Only a few will find her. Only a few will enter through this narrow Gate.
This narrow path entails perfection of love in combination with perfection of integrity and perfection of separation from the world.. Its is brutally difficult to be separated and set apart from that which you are required to love. Love everybody, yet have nothing to do with sinners whom Christ commands you to love and to pray for. Grief is to me by far the most difficult aspect of this walk.. endless grief lurking around each corner with nearly each set of eyes that I see. I just want to die and be with the Lord. Life and life in conjunction with the teaching of the scripture is utterly horrifically brutal in ways I never thought it would be. Love people who want to torture you and beat you death, love them while they beat you and torture you to death.. Absolutely brutal. Please take me home Lord, I'm spent.

Exodus 20:3-17
How many people do you know that are actively striving to keep the 10 Commandments of God, traveling the narrow path that leads to eternal life?
Probably not many because keeping Gods Commandments are difficult for those who are traveling on the broad path and living for worldly pleasures.
Daily striving to keep God’s 10 Commandments (in addition to repentance and forgiveness) is the narrow road that Jesus was referring to.
I hope you can see the connection. In Jesus name, amen.

You know the truth brethren! Peace be upon you!
Amen
@@studiominonothis video doesn't teach the truth of the narrow path, just as the OP explained. Works are not a salvation issue. Works demonstrate faith but faith does not require works. Notice the pharisees had plenty of works and plenty of boasting.
Ephesians 2:8-9
Modern English Version
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, 9 not of works, so that no one should boast.
29.Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30.For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
The "narrow path" is placing your faith in Jesus Christ alone. The "wide path" are those that refuse to do that and think they are good enough on their own.
Indeed.
My favorite.
I’ve been praying for the truth if “once saved always saved” is the narrow way or the broad way🤔 can some one please help me understand… but I’m leaning towards OSAS is the broad path but I’m not sure…
Why would osas be the broad path? Even in osas Jesus Christ is the way, not works or sinning less.

OSAS is a lie I was deceived for ages.
I also believe in a narrow path that only few will take, however I also wonder how it ties in with other scriptures where it says:
"Everyone who calls upon the name of e Lord shall be saved"
It doesn't make sense to me....
Hey I tried to share this with my family and noone could hear you. Al we have is my phone. It does seem very quiet compared to other channels.
So you are saying that Jesus is the narrow way and that no other leads to life , but Christ.
Yes.
The narrow way is jesus not you worls
What the hell are you talking about. FYI when you're gonna go a bit psycho it's proper to offer some back round info.
Verse?
I hope he has other videos that give some actual content to the narrow way, otherwise this kind of talk is useless.
Please take me home Lord, I'm spent.
the narrow path is Jesus Christ Himself
