It gave him rules that he had to follow or there were consequences beyond the immediate. He just happened to be around Muslims at the time. If he was around Buddhists, he would have become a Buddhist, same goes for Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, etc. Atheism would have taught him accountability to himself, self reliance, appreciation for the only life we get but didn't have an exposure to it.
On the field he was really something else, I think we’re seeing the development of a man who’s coming to terms with his past, where he’s at in the present and where he’s going. Inspirational story.
Will def go & buy the book. This interview provided a great insight in to SBW life n his struggles as a sports star. He's quite articulate which is something l don't see often from him. He's great to watch on n off the field. True legend!
Polynesian values identify who we are, and when we stuff up, it brings ambarrasement to all. It affects not just the person involved, but it reflects on the family name. Wise words from SBW.
Brilliant stuff. Thank you ABC and all the people who brought it to the public. My take away was even good people can make poor and selfish decisions but those should not define their goodness.

@@user-uw4yb3oj7c I've read the Quran. I found it unconvincing and too vague for my liking just like any other religion I've researched.

Read more, God willing you will find some great things in life
I don't know how anyone could down vote this.
I agree - have to be really shallow and sad to downvote this.
2 things
1. He’s a Muslim
2. He talks about politics
@@peterhunter6040 True. I thought Australia was bit more mature than that.
@@TaffytheGreyhound everyone hates when athletes talk about politics & the majority of people in NZ and AU hate Islam. It is what it is
@@peterhunter6040 the ugly truth.
