One thing people don’t realize too is how different stuff like this is compared to regular weight lifting. Someone could be very strong in the gym but if they only are training their muscles in isolation and their body isn’t used to working together then they’ll suck at stuff like this. Compound movements in the gym is definitely something that should be a primary focus for soldiers, cops, and armed citizens

For the low crawl drag, a workout that is equally exhausting on both arms at once would be a heavier sandbag and just carabining the sandbag to the plate carrier. It’s a real smoker! None the less great work
Great video!! I enjoyed the mixture of fitness, shooting and overall movement. I truly think our society greatly under estimates the power of being physically fit and how it can save your life if something unexpectedly happens that you have to react to.
Im 300 lbs and over the last year I've been adding similar kind of drills to improve my cardio ,strength and accuracy when shooting, I run around with sinder blocks and sand bags while carrying some gear and right before I run out of breath I drop what's in my hands and start shooting at different targets at different distances. Great work out ,needless to say I go home exhausted but it feels great. I'm new to your channel and just subscribed 🤙
There was a video a while back showing a local gov LEO responding to a call about a possible active shooter at a mall. The LEO had his body cam on while he was running around the mall looking for the guy. Then he run up to a highway and took a kneeling position to pop the guy across the road. You could tell he was gassed. I was impressed with his focus and stress management
Thank you for the affirmation! Not only is going to the outdoor range and standing at the bench unchallenging (tryin to be nice here), but it's not how things would truly play out if something unfolded unexpectedly. I made up this drill I call "Run For Your Life!" Personally I like to use 4" and 6" paper plates as targets- they're cheap, easy to see shot placement, and adhere to the: "Aim small, shoot small" theory. I don't time this drill as this one is based on execution with exhaustion. Use 3-4 plates in varying positions and spread way out- some at 7 yds, some at 15 yds; each plate gets 3 shots. I get kitted up and then disassemble my pistol and scatter the pieces on the bench, then start the drill: 20 jumping jacks followed by a sprint to the 25yd target and back, repeat 3x or until I'm gassed (Do NOT lie. If you're not beat, do another run-you only cheat yourself!). On final run back, head to the bench, reassemble, load, and start shooting. But wait! SPOILER!! You only have 5 rds in your 1st mag so you HAVE to reload on the move to finish the drill! This is even more fun with friends who can randomize the rds in the 1st mag so you're truly blindsided by the reload and/or use snap caps to simulate a jam you have to clear as well. Another variation involves the above scenario with the addition of a carbine- instead of a reload, transition from rifle to pistol to finish the drill. This drill packs a lot of punch because it forces the shooter to manage breathing while making controlled, well-placed shots, reloading/clearing a misfire/transitioning to another weapon smoothly, all while on the move. Good luck and have fun!
Nice man that drill sounds like a challenge for sure. I'm glad to here others have a similar mindset with regards to training. I appreciate your support and comment! Alex
Good shit brother! A lot of people don’t prioritize pt into their readiness and training. Shooting flat range is totally different from actual firefight with stress, adrenaline, obstacles and barriers, shooting behind, under, and over cover or concealment, enemy returning fire, etc
this goes far beyond normal training here in USA. Most people just go to a range and accomplish nothing at all, threfore wasting a lot of time and money. I've often thought of doing something like this at my local range, but realized very quickly that I'd be escorted out not only by the rangemaster, but also the local sheriff! It is a great concept nonetheless, and having watched high schoolers stand in line interminably at the archery range, surely something could be instituted (safely) within that gym class/curriculum. Oh well, for now, I'll just get a good workout in first and then shoot! Thanks for the presentation. "- Teach them, PROPERLY, Major Forbes!" - Colonel Robert Gould Shaw.
It is definitely something that I recommend. Even if it is only a couple times a year. It is a great way to gauge progress and give you a realistic idea of how you may perform in a high stress environment.
I plan on doing this but demonstrating punching through cinder block then low kicking through a baseball bat and then sprinting to fire line and then putting lead on target.
Thank you for the video and ideas how to improve! Could I suggest a video idea? Could you make a video of some kind of general fitness routine you are doing and/or your resistance bands routine?
You are preaching to the choir with me. I try to make this point too and unfortunately some look to firearms or other weapons as an excuse NOT to be fit. They view it as a tool that does the work for you. That couldn't be farther from the truth.

@@IronInfidel I Understand Completely and I Thank you for your reply. This was your first video I'd seen and now that I'm Subscribed to your Channel I will be looking for it in Future Videos. Thanks you again.

Definitely love the minimalist plate carrier… Can you share the brand and model?
That is the Core plate carrier, by High Speed Gear.
That’s a good work out
Thank you man!
*NOW* we're looking at the real foundation of shooting.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video man. Thank you for the support of our channel.
Alex
This great man! (South Africa )
Thank you Lucky! I appreciate it!

Stress shoots 👌
Agree.
Bahaaaa
😂😂😂
Yeah but he is keeping the muscles under tension which can arguably be harder with plates and a resistance band rather than just your body weight
The crispiest videos on the fucking web!
FACTS.
Thanks for the comment Damian! I appreciate ya.
Alex

Thanks Ricardo! I appreciate you viewing our content and leaving a comment.
Alex
Amazing. 😱
Thanks!!!
That actually looks fun. I'd like to do this workout followed by trying to shoot rifle targets at various distances.
It's a good time and it can be an eye opening experience.
Damn Inspirational.
I'm glad to hear that. Thanks for viewing our content man!
Alex
The shake weight reference! 😂
Always shake weight
I probably need to do this. I can't even hold a replica of a 6-pound AR for a long time without my wrist aching.
Yeah man, definitely incorporate some weight training into your routine.
Hello, great video !! And your plate looks really great! ! May I ask you the brand and model ??
Thanks Dwayne! Unfortunately the brand has not yet released the carrier, so I am not permitted to reveal who makes it. I believe it releases in July though, so hit me up then.
Best regards,
Alex
I've often thought of doing something like this at my local range, but realized very quickly that I'd be escorted out not only by the rangemaster, but also the local sheriff! It is a great concept nonetheless, and having watched high schoolers stand in line interminably at the archery range, surely something could be instituted (safely) within that gym class/curriculum. Oh well, for now, I'll just get a good workout in first and then shoot! Thanks for the presentation.

Thank you I appreciate you watching .
You a beast bro!
I appreciate it man, but i'm just a random dude on the internet haha. Thank you for the support!
Alex
Thank you for the video and ideas how to improve!
Could I suggest a video idea? Could you make a video of some kind of general fitness routine you are doing and/or your resistance bands routine?
Thank you I appreciate you watching .
You are preaching to the choir with me. I try to make this point too and unfortunately some look to firearms or other weapons as an excuse NOT to be fit. They view it as a tool that does the work for you. That couldn't be farther from the truth.
Thanks for watching and subscribing.
Good stuff! What gloves are you using?
PIG Full Dexterity Delta gloves. Thanks for viewing our vid.
Lucas: “high quality equipment is covered by warranty.”
Me: *getting my RMA rejected by EOTech that got a crack in the front glass after running it hard on a real rifle for training.”🤷♂️
That's surprising
That's gotta hurt
Thanks for watching. We truly appreciate it.
YOU AND TONY NEED TO DO A VIDEO TOGETHER!!!! That would be epic!!!! 💪🏼
