This is how I was attracted towards Radha Madhav. Slowly and steadily with the utmost blessings of Radha Madhav I started attending Gita classes,visiting Mayapur Dham attending Guru Maharajs lectures has attracted me towards ISKCON. Life is full of Happinesses as I have totally surrendered at the Lotus feet of Radha Madhav.He will take care of us. Haribol. Hare Krishna.

I have seen many ways of Krishna Consciousness followed. Firstly like ISKON, leave all types of intoxication( including Tea, Coffee), Mundane activities and so on, before joining. Then another one, start worshiping Krishna and expect all worldly habits that inhibits Krishna Consciousness disappears with time, if not now then in next birth. I first got initiated then my guru stressed more on japa(chanting),and at least one time puja before the deity, I was 13 years, no-veg. Once I chanced to go to Vindaban and Non-Veg habit dis-appeared, that happened in Jan 1998. Since then I am Vegie and planed to remain so. I have seen both time, living on fish, chicken, eggs also then on vegie. My feeling is life lived on vegie is more calm,joyous, it is not my imagination. Though initially it was difficult. Lastly Marc looks nice on the "Hare Krishna attire", or more correctly anybody wearing "Hare Krishna attire" looks amazing. Haribol

To become a devotee and enter in to spiritual life one has to have control over his mind....Marc tried his best but ultimately failed to control his mind and given up in front of those habits he developed over the years.......but never mind..some day he might develop the power to control his mind and come back again....Lord Krishna loves him anyway.
He didn't go there to become a pure devotee, he went to be open minded and see if he could develop a relationship with the devotees. No one has control over their mind. No one. You don't know who loves who anyway.

Marc should have changed his clothes before goin to eat meat and drink beer. He gave a very bad image to the public. They saw what they assumed was a Hare Krishna having steak and beer. Makes them look bad. Otherwise, I enjoyed his tour into the religion and he was respectful while he was there.
Hinduism is the only religion (In fact culture) which is not book-based religion, books come into existence by 5000 years ago through meditation (Vedas, etc). Hindus main aim is enlightenment, Liberation, freedom from birth and death. God is secondary to them, In the Gita, God guides him (Arjuna) to enlightenment and righteousness (Dharma) not to stick to him. Hindus are seekers, not believers ( like other religions). Hindus follow karma (good actions). Meditation, Yoga (union with the divine), self-knowledge (who am I), penance, watching breath are primary to them and book/s are secondary to them. Other religions concept is one god exists but Hindus concept is the only god exists in everything and everywhere nothing else. Hindus say body and mind do not belong to you one day you have to leave them. Only your real self is yours find out that you ll be enlightened. Hindus say all living beings are divine. They say both waking state and sleep state are an illusion(Maya). Actual Hinduism is Sanatana Dharma means an Eternal Religion.
Let me put this very very simply Kuo Ku ji to understand. Sanatan Dharm is Core, Hinduism is the next outer layer mimicking religions, ISKON is one the branch of Vaishav we call Sampradaya and not an independent Religion. All the Sampradaya accepts the supremacy of Veda and therefore called Dharmic. Religions are not Dharmic and do not accept superman of Veda and have fundamental differences. Religions have very thin layer of spirituality and the rest is politics. Hope you get the idea JMT
In my experience ISKCON is about 90 percent politics and the sanatan dharma part (caste system) is as unjust in India as it is in ISKCON. The sampradaya part didn't work out very well either. But you are right in your explanation, Vaisnavism isn't an independent religion, it is part of hinduism as so many believes are..
Carina Amato ji, let me give further clarification. Sanatan Dharm has a wide spectrum of knowledge and not only spirituality. First there is no caste system in Hinduism but VARNA (Simply put vocation society) as Caste system was forcefully imposed by the British who ruled over India for at least 200 years and make it difficult for job seekers who do not speak English. When they took Indian bonded labourer they input it as caste such as carpenters, labourers, farmers, goldsmiths, masonry etc etc and told those gullible Hindus this is what you will now known. Slowly it has seeped into the society and replaced the system called VARNA. The Varna system has no bar as people can move from one Varna to other without any problem. For example the writer of Ramayan was Shudra but become Brahmin. The Vedvyas who divided Veda was fisherman's son and become brahmin+Rishi. Since 1000 years Hindus are fighting for their survival against acidic religions and Britis took extra initiative to destroy the knowledge holders part of the society called Brahmins. They demonised them and after independent Brhamins become the worst effected segment of society education wise, economically tec etc. It has been drilled into the people in of the Western Society that we are caste bound society which is of course evil system introduced by the Brits. In one thoutsand years 80 milion Hindus have been slaughtered by the religion of peace and religion of love. Now that Hindus are reclaiming their rich heritage all the leftists, foreign media, pseudo seculars, deracinated Hindus are furious hence further vemon is poured calling them terrorist, caste ridden, and ignorant. I've thought this too. Krishna means black. Devotees often say Krsna is all attractive but as a student of Sanskrit I don't see this in the name. Krishna is syama, black like the rain clouds.
Krishna does mean black in one usage aspect, but also means the most beautiful. Aside: if you go to the root of the syllable "kr" dhatu - it means action, an in kriya. Ishna means desired, or wished for. Experts can explain.

No need to join and get initiated to serve KC movement. We can live normal life, live with family, do our job-business etc and serve KC from home...Joining and initiation is not easy. Im not telling thats bad. Because to join one needs to have higher interest for sanyasi-life cherish that way of living and thats not easy...So we can live at our own homes, enjoy material life and spiritual life and balance everything by strictly following all the regulative principles from home and serve KC movement also->this is my opinion and this is what i do....I live in home, but follow all the regulative principles and serve KC movement and support them

Hindus say body and mind do not belong to you one day you have to leave them. Only your real self is yours find out that you ll be enlightened. Hindus say all living beings are divine. Let me put this very very simply Kuo Ku ji to understand. Sanatan Dharm is Core, Hinduism is the next outer layer mimicking religions, ISKON is one the branch of Vaishav we call Sampradaya and not an independent Religion. All the Sampradaya accepts the supremacy of Veda and therefore called Dharmic. Religions are not Dharmic and do not accept superman of Veda and have fundamental differences. Religions have very thin layer of spirituality and the rest is politics. Hope you get the idea JMT
In my experience ISKCON is about 90 percent politics and the sanatan dharma part (caste system) is as unjust in India as it is in ISKCON. The sampradaya part didn't work out very well either. But you are right in your explanation, Vaisnavism isn't an independent religion, it is part of hinduism as so many believes are..
Carina Amato ji, let me give further clarification. Sanatan Dharm has a wide spectrum of knowledge and not only spirituality. First there is no caste system in Hinduism but VARNA (Simply put vocation society) as Caste system was forcefully imposed by the British who ruled over India for at least 200 years and make it difficult for job seekers who do not speak English. When they took Indian bonded labourer they input it as caste such as carpenters, labourers, farmers, goldsmiths, masonry etc etc and told those gullible Hindus this is what you will now known. Slowly it has seeped into the society and replaced the system called VARNA. The Varna system has no bar as people can move from one Varna to other without any problem. For example the writer of Ramayan was Shudra but become Brahmin. The Vedvyas who divided Veda was fisherman's son and become brahmin+Rishi. Since 1000 years Hindus are fighting for their survival against acidic religions and Britis took extra initiative to destroy the knowledge holders part of the society called Brahmins. They demonised them and after independent Brhamins become the worst effected segment of society education wise, economically tec etc. It has been drilled into the people in of the Western Society that we are caste bound society which is of course evil system introduced by the Brits. In one thoutsand years 80 milion Hindus have been slaughtered by the religion of peace and religion of love. Now that Hindus are reclaiming their rich heritage all the leftists, foreign media, pseudo seculars, deracinated Hindus are furious hence further vemon is poured calling them terrorist, caste ridden, and ignorant. Krishna does mean black in one usage aspect, but also means the most beautiful. Aside: if you go to the root of the syllable "kr" dhatu - it means action, an in kriya. Ishna means desired, or wished for. Experts can explain.

No need to join and get initiated to serve KC movement. We can live normal life, live with family, do our job-business etc and serve KC from home...Joining and initiation is not easy. Im not telling thats bad. Because to join one needs to have higher interest for sanyasi-life cherish that way of living and thats not easy...So we can live at our own homes, enjoy material life and spiritual life and balance everything by strictly following all the regulative principles from home and serve KC movement also->this is my opinion and this is what i do....I live in home, but follow all the regulative principles and serve KC movement and support them
