    I think the cub cadet does a great job. I use the same ones, everyone in lawn care doesn’t need a scag for $12,000 you get paid the same no matter what mower you use.

      I totally agree! Ti hope you have many great years with you Cub Cadet Mowers! I’ve not heard it put any better than that, you could buy 2 cubs for the price of a scag. I think they are a great way to start a lawn care business. You get a great cut lawn mower for a great price and they will pay for themselves in no time!

    it looks to me like that's kind of commerical/estate work. I think for mowing those hills I would suggest the scag turf tiger two with either the kawaski fd851d 31 horsepowerfuel injected liquid cooled engine or the briggs vanguard 993cc 40 horsepower fuel injected engine. it as the fuel tank is under the seat so the center of gravity is extremely low so great on hillsides. I would also suggest two scag swzt 61 inch mowers for mowing hillsides like that. prices for all three mowers scag turf tigers $17,799/$19,699
    $7,832/7,932 I am glad harley didn't get hurt or one of you didn't get the mowers stuck or the yard rutted up or worse harley could have flipped the mower over plus without no one falling down the hill and glad to see everybody made it in one pieace. be safe out their guys always watch and be careful about what you are doing. just a reminder safety always comes first.

    Chute blocker will pay for itself. Most of my commercial properties wont let you cut without that or a mulch kit due to insurance reasons.

    • @aandblawncare2017
      @aandblawncare2017  7 місяців тому +1

      We really want a chute blocker but unfortunately they don’t have one for our mower design. I’ve been looking into different designs and I think I can come up with something that will work.
      Our commercial clients always require proof of insurance and we take full responsibility for any damages we may cause.

    Good job untwisting that harness, Laci. I see you, Har, trying to get her right 😅💪🏽👍 I was like "fix that collar!!" 😂
    🤔 McDonald's has you guys doing the opposite of route density, huh? I hope you're being well compensated, and it's good they pay for accommodations when you're out too far. Well, I pray for Wisdom to do what The Lord Is Calling you to and what's best for your family 🙏🙏🏽 If you do end up extending your contract with McD's ( which could be a nice little adventure ), why not have the kids help you with, or even take over some of the local work while they're building their new business? Or hire a coupla people, if they don't want to do that.
    Yes, be careful with those fumes ( although I breathe in exhaust all the time, between mowers, and 2 cycle equipment 😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️😂🤷🏽‍♂️🤷‍♂️ and maybe not _like_ it, but I don't exactly _mind_ it 😵‍💫😵‍💫 😅 ) ....you can open that side door and get some air that way, and also when you get some time have some vents added to the trailer.

      It has been a blessing to work with them and this year is turning out to be a great start. Thank you for your prayers! We are praying for everyone to have a good year this year whether it’s lawn care or working for “the man” we hope this year can be a good year to everyone.
      Once Adam turns 16 and gets his license we want him to be able to run a small crew with his close friend Nathan. I agree with you it would be good for them to do some of the local work and it will help them get established in the community.

    Ahhh, the struggles of a growing business. Bottom line, you do this to make money, make a living. Ultimately you have to decide what your goals are, and what you do to get yourself to those goals. If you can mow commercial, and in a 3 or 4 day schedule meet your goal/needs, why work 80 hours doing everything.
    You, and you alone, define what makes you successful. Sometimes its quality over quantity. Sometimes its quantity and a bigger crew.
    Best of luck.

    Seeing you started in 17 your business has been operating in only time of weird economic times. Run your commercial numbers after the government handed out trillions of dollars in 2020. Commercial accounts for a two person company is a gamble in ordinary conditions. Unless the same person owns all the McDonald’s, you still are currently low bid. Normally if another company will save commercial property 50 bucks they will change. I have 19 years in business seen this same thing happen prior to 08, at minimum 60% went under. A good accountant, or business advisor is a great investment. With the cost of everything in today’s economy, you can’t afford a misstep.

    • @aandblawncare2017
      @aandblawncare2017  8 місяців тому +1

      Thank you so much for this wonderful advice! I definitely agree with you 100 percent on the commercial account and the risks involved. Thankfully our McDonald’s account is a special case. We work for a Family owned McDonald’s Franchise that owns more than 120 stores in our area. We have been blessed enough to already have close relations with the owner and he actually requested our services rather then us bidding the stores ourselves. We never thought we would mow for McDonald’s but they actually contacted us due to already having previous experience with the owner and his closest friends. Again I cannot thank you enough for this great advice and I would definitely put that into effect for any future commercial work. You don’t want to forget the people that got you where you are now and that is another reason we try our best to hang on to our customers that have been true to us and treat them the way they deserve.
