I only started playing Anomaly yesterday and I found a Burer in an abandoned train tunnel and the first thing it did was sprint at me, rip my weapon out of my hands and proceeded to telekenetically beat me to death with my own weapon. Thank you for explaining what the hell happened to me
Great video, can't wait for the third part! One of the things about the Bloodsuckers that is often unnoticed is the fact that they may be smarter than we think. There is one in the Dark Valley in SoC that seems to be using a dying Stalker as a lure for instance. And one of the creepiest details I've ever found is in the Bloodsucker Village in the Army Warehouses. In the southern side, you can find a shrine of some sorts, with bodies in weird postions, heads and skulls impaled on sticks, and random body parts scattered around. It may of course be made by some maniacs (Monolith perhaps?), because you can see impaled heads near the entrance to the Radar, but who knows, maybe bloodsuckers like to decorate their surroundings as well?
Oh yeah, I kinda forgot to mention that. I do believe that mutants are smart and capable of making some simple contraptions. For example, there are many campfires around the zone made out of bones (including human bones), which perhaps were made by mutants.
there was monolith bodies in the village so it could've been them. But yeah in clear skies one of the duty guys says that bloodsuckers were actually crawling out of the ground to kidnap soldiers on patrol. Creepy shit.
I think it was freedom who put the bodies and skulls there all of them i think belong to monolith forces as to scare them off but all it did was annoy them i guess. i do think bloodsuckers are much more intelligent the part with the injured stalker might be wrong they keep living stalkers as food for later and they keep them alive so that there is blood in their bodies they don't eat after all.
Burers are definitely the toughest humanoid mutant. They take a lot of punishment and hard to engage if not prepared. Controllers can easily be taken down if you are peeking in corners. Bloodsuckers, standing in obstacles is the best way to defeat them. And Snorks can be annoying and dangerous in large groups. I enjoyed this vid man, you went into every single detail.
There was many scenes but i cant find :/ one of them is Beurer stays in pit and there was 2 soldier top of the pit. They talking about beurer. At the scene, there was a detailed story of B.
My guess on controllers is that they cant reproduce but they can be "created" by strong psy emissions. Many people die or become zombified but a small portion could mutate into controllers by them, possibly connected to other factors like radiation, chemicals or anomaly exposure.
I always thought the account of the Snork using the shotgun was it didn't shoot but used it for blunt impact to kill the officer. Also, the idea of mutants reproducing is possible but real life mutations can result in sterility, which means no babies
Absolutely love your videos dude. That accent of yours adds a lot to it, feels like I'm chilling with the Ecologist and getting a briefing on the Zones' dangers!
I think bloodsuckers can reproduce, the fact that there's several variants seems to support this somewhat. It's possible that the reason you don't see their...bits, is that they have internal genitalia like on certain types of animals, even mammals (i.e. whales and dolphins - I had a friend a while back who was a marine biology major, that's how I learned that particular bit of information, there was a lot of booze involved). I'd also like to think that they were created with a purpose, likely with military applications in mind. Think about it, a creature that can turn invisible, has glowing eyes, and sucks the blood of its victims would be a terrifying weapon of psychological warfare, to be released behind enemy lines to cause mayhem. Note that not all experiments in the Zone had to do with the C-Consciousness project or psy emissions, such as Project 62 (experiments in electromagnetic weaponry that eventually produced the Gauss Rifle). Controllers fascinate me, since the encounter in the cave in Zaton seems to suggest that Controllers aren't necessarily aggressive mutants, but highly territorial. Note that unlike other mutants, they don't seem to actively hunt prey other than the rare times they venture out of their homes; whenever they fight, it seems to be more defensive than anything else (helped by the fact that, usually, you have to go to their lair to encounter them at all). As for Burers, in cut content for SoC (we've discussed this before), they seem to have originated in X-18 specifically, considering that one was supposed to encounter a large number of them, including a "King Burer", inside the lab in question. They likely have some relation to the Poltergeists given their shared telekinetic abilities.
Yes, your theory about bloodsuckers could be right, and you are absolutely correct when pointing at the fact that the labs had other themes of research than the C-Consciousness. Another example would be the chimera, which we will talk about in the next episode, that might have been designed as a "perfect" predator. About the controllers, I think they are indeed territorial. Maybe they attack people because stalkers are usually the ones who shoot first, or maybe they want revenge on the ones who made them mutants, or perhaps they turned insane, who knows ? As for Burers, I guess their origins were moved from X-18 to X-8. In design documents, they are described as the result of experiments under the "program for the development of telekinetic abilities". It might be the same project that created poltergeists.
i should not be playing stalker while listening to this in the background while you talk about controllers... gave myself a heart palpitation thinking i was gonna get screwed
The controller phrase in the dangerous cave is not translated accurately, he doesn't really call you human, it's hard to translate to English but he calls you something like "dude", so perhaps he is considering himself as human
Hello man, I know this is old but I hope you see this. "Entering the cave causes the player to hear the Controller warning him. Inside is a dead Loner named Mirone, along with a stash of drugs, including the valuable Anabiotics." From the stalker wiki, it does have a body inside, and because the controller can warn you, it means he is still intelligent enough to communicate. IT could have been someone the controller knew or was protecting, or it could have been someone he killed and does not want to kill people anymore so he warns you.
I got super lucky on the Burer in Yanov, it was my first encounter with one and didnt even know they existed. I could hear its gross little footsteps as I went deeper undergound, I peaked around the corner and saw it. He was stuck on a box walking in place, I was able to shoot the hell out of him without him reacting at all and he died. I was so thankful for the glitchiness of the x-ray engine lol
I found my first in CoP Burer today and first thought he was a lone bandit since I only saw his feet and cloak. Well. I looted and ran, thank god ladders are their nemesis!
I always thought stalkers mutants where perfect until I played the COP gunslinger mod. The changes to the controller are ELITE. Instead of normal psi-attacks like snapping you close, whenever you’re within sight of the controller you slowly and hesitantly kill yourself with your gun or your knife. It’s perfectly immersive and something that a controller would actually do to you. Mess with your mind. Someone managed to put controller suicides into Stalker Anomaly as a mod too.
13:34 This is translation issue, originally controller say "Уходи отсюда, мужик" and "Уходи, пока цел". which can be translated to "Get out of here, man\dude" and "Get out while you can"(word-for-word translation will be "leave before you hurt"). I find really funny that controller sad "мужик" which basically means dude, it's so... casual, so Informal.

You're good with evading Snorks. They almost always hit me if I allow them to get close. The jumping is so unusual compared to other games. Not only these monsters couldn't reproduce, they couldn't have the strength to run and jup with internal parts like the spine or the brain exposed and the body rotting away. I met my first controller and burer when shutting down the machine in Yantar. Their sounds and the orange screen is a good warning of their presence. But the extreme ranges of combat in this game makes locating the enemy quite hard. Enemies are typically a few pixels on screen when they can hit you already. There is a controller in Garbage where the Butcher sends you to hunt diurnal humanoids.
The word humanoid in the title has the letter "ï" lol Btw its good that we have such a dedicated person like you to do those researches and explain in a simple way for us
Things to notify. Bloodsuckers don't actually suck blood with their tentacles/feelers it appears its used more as to get a better grip on their neck the top jaw teeth are what's used to drink the blood. It's said that they don't have bones but cartilage but i don't buy this if that were the case then the amount of physical activity they do would break every single part of their body so i think they have cartilage and bone. I think it's a cuttlefish due to the camouflage, about the lone bloodsuckers i think they are kicked out of their pack (like in lions and chimpanzees) and are left alone as they should be social creatures well not that social. Oh right the reason you can see their brain is due to its environment and/or age as old bloodsuckers tend to decay while still living must be a hard life for a bloodsucker. Just because controllers have psychic abilities doesn't make them smarter but i would say that they are the most intelligent mutant in the zone. Since the control says 'man' i think it could mean that he is scared of humans, maybe he remembers being transformed into the controller by the scientists and some controllers hate humanity or are scared for what they turned them into but that's what i think. Cool fact in one of the books a controller controlled a pseudogiant to break down a wall i unfortunately can't find the book.
First time playing Stalker, decided to go with Anomaly.I fought a Burer in with the sawed off Toz 66 and a PB that I got from some military guy in Condor and somehow I managed to win, what I realised is that he only had wooden crates and literal SPOONS and CUPS, if he had a fridge now that would have been a game over for me.
I got attacked by a Snork, North of Agroprom, and it scared the living daylights out of me, It was really dark so I thought that the reason my screen was going red was because of an anomaly, it wasn’t…..
In lost Alpha there is a cutscene in x18 how the bloodsucker was createt and the Controller doesnt make psy Hallutzinations in the agroprom undergroud the Psy emission machine is doing the hallutzinations
Yes I remember this moment in Lost Alpha. About the agroprom underground, there is no psy-emitter there, and the hallucinations stop after the controller is killed.
The Burers are easy with a trick: Aim at their head, they'll raise their shield. Open and immediately close your inventory, shoot as soon as possible. For a split second they'll lower the shield.
What about the zombies? Thry do appear in the game if I'm not mistaken. Specially around settlements or in tunnels. And they don't wield any weapons, they attack you witht their arms. Only headshots can kill them. They walk slowly towards you making groans.
And the Controllers can talk like normal humans, its been in Call of Pripyat, in Zaton North-West of Skadovks in a cave, its even warn the player to leave the place while we can it what you said and what we know. It is also a speculation that the Controllers suffers from constant headaches, maybe its the non-regenerating wounds from the mutations, or the mutation itself, it been evidenced by the grunts and moans it makes is higly resembling when people have massive headaches.
3:29 Try nailing them in the head with a pistol. In 'nilla ShoC v.10006 on Master difficulty, they can withstand two headshots from a Walther P99, but a .45 will usually do the job with one shot. I've noticed that a suppressed P220 can take two shots, whereas it seems to do the one-shot job consistently without a suppressor. A 1911 will always do it in one shot. Any rifle, even an AKS-74U, will do it in one shot regardless of caliber. If you're up for a Zone Sportsmanship Challenge, try blasting super long-jumping "man-eating" snorks out of the air with 40-mils using a launcher of your choice (preferably one that doesn't inhibit movement like ShoC's RG-6). And if you want even more of a challenge than that, try nailing one of those "super snorks" in the head with a pistol while it's in the air lunging at you. 7:01 Always aim with shotguns since they have that handicap where they throw loose patterns if you shoot from the hip, especially with the sawed-off (in which case, you're aiming "down the rib" rather than "down the sights" since the yahoos trimming the barrels off don't bother to drill and tap beads onto the ribs). The sawed-off Mad Max gun, wrongly described as a "beginner's weapon," requires finesse to use effectively, but in skillful hands, can take down a bloodsucker in two to four shots (w/buckshot). 11:50 "In a perfect world..." 13:44 I'll never understand why they ditched the GP-25's functional quadrant sight in favor of a cheap zoom for no reason, then left it that way in CoP for no reason. 16:15 They probably learned that technique from Gordon Freeman.
I just had a theory pop in mind while watching the video, its regarding the section about the possibility of the blood suckers reproducing. While yes it does seem possible that new blood suckers are being made in a still functioning lab somewhere in the zone. I find it more likely that they have an elephant situation going on, where their tool is hidden by a skin flap that they can pull back when the time for its use comes and something similar may apply to the female's too
Well apparently after the early lore which the sgm mod implemented i think the sgm mod or lost alpha shows that bloodsuckers were made in the x-8 lab at pripyat the first one im sorry I haven't played for a while and cant remember exactly
i play stalker ogse and there is actually a mission in the marshes (not in base SoC) that there is a different "gray" bloodsucker which takes your weapons when attacked much like a more physical controller.
Imo bloodsuckers probably reproduce but in an alien, non mammal way. Maybe with eggs and a hidden reproductive gland? For example fish lay eggs and the males inseminate them from the outside. Snails also have weird reproductive processes
lol im sure i killed them normally when i played the games originally.. but i must of killed 50 bloodsuckers in GAMMA and i just assumed i couldn't do damage to them when they were invisible.. i really made strelok's hideout alot more frustrating than it needed to be
its interesting how most of these mutants survive in closed places without food. also to those bloodsucker tentacles. in soc i had them in inventory and i started bleeding for no reason or when i started bleeding it kept worsening. until i removed them. i havent used bleeding artefacts then. but idk if it really works or not. i also thought that pseudogigant is humanoid
Yes, it is indeed quite a mystery. I'm not sure if bloodsucker tentacles do cause bleeding, but who knows ? As for the pseudogiant, we'll talk about him in the next episode.
Makes me wonder if there is any way of reasoning or communicating with controllers, it seems to me that they are following the orders of the C-Con in some instances and just fighting for their survival in others, it would be cool if this was explored further
@@bencebaranyi4120 My main focus will be to finish the series about secret underground locations, and trust me there is a lot of work to be done here. I'll also make more videos about mutants and other stuff. Then, there is one series of videos that I promised to make a long time ago which I really need to start working on. Finally, I got a big new project on the way, and you should hear about it pretty soon.
I like to think the process of making all the humanoid mutants except the snorks is the same and it's the traits of the person prior to the process that influence the outcome
In russian version the controller calls you muzhik, which is can translated as man but it has a little friendly connotation, it is like calling someone a dude but it's in a less childish way, usually used for grown men, so, the "controller not considering himself a human" thing is not conceived by the devs
Burer is easiest mutant that i killed. He have special powers which we heard in the video, but he can use only one of them (can't use 2 or more in same time). So, you have to shoot him when he uses special power, except bullet stopping field (high magnetic field).
Burers look like ugly little bandits to me. It'd be funny, if morbid, if bandits were the primary test subjects for the burer projects. Oh, gosh, could you even imagine a burer with an mp5 or a shotgun? That would be Hell!
the controllers in the stalker call of pripyat gunslinger mod have very strong power if seen by the controllers then our character will be manipulated by killing himself
Awesome content from awesome man. Also, how you could do that third person camera in front of you? I want to do that so I could screenshot my character sometimes with SEVA or military suit
The fact that the bloodsuckers lacked reproductive organs is probably a hint that they may be asexual when the situation calls for much like certain specie of animals and only have them when their lair is big enough to support that which is a complete nightmare to deal with since if one survived, they will just come back again. Or maybe GSC couldn't get it featured or else the game won't get pass the ratings. Probably why the rest of the mutant is like that.
Little error on the snorks.
"An officer waiting for his shiftman's car near the post's gate was attacked by a snork, which slaughtered him with the rusty remains of a Izh 91 shotgun."

13:24 I heard this sound once in shadow of chernobyl near the freedom checkpoint near the border of red forest and army warehouses
If the controller was not human, why wear jeans?
I guess they know how to use pants?
I guess they want a bit of privacy
In lost Alpha there is a cutscene in x18 how the bloodsucker was createt and the Controller doesnt make psy Hallutzinations in the agroprom undergroud the Psy emission machine is doing the hallutzinations
Yes I remember this moment in Lost Alpha. About the agroprom underground, there is no psy-emitter there, and the hallucinations stop after the controller is killed.
Okay i was so fast at this controller i in the clear sky agroprom underground
didn‘t even realised it
The Burers are easy with a trick:
Aim at their head, they'll raise their shield.
11:50 "In a perfect world..."
13:44 I'll never understand why they ditched the GP-25's functional quadrant sight in favor of a cheap zoom for no reason, then left it that way in CoP for no reason.
16:15 They probably learned that technique from Gordon Freeman.
Ahah yes, thanks for the comments.
SoC is the only game where I had to convince myself it's just a game
God Damn!... Just how deep is this game..
😅
i always look at your videos and it always makes my day :-)
Great then :)
I've been away for a little while and suddenly you have 3k subscribers... Damn! Congrats!
Thanks, I guess it's slowly building up.
1000 ways to die in the zone, number 756 16:20 that is the most perfect death ever lol.
😅
i play stalker ogse and there is actually a mission in the marshes (not in base SoC) that there is a different "gray" bloodsucker which takes your weapons when attacked much like a more physical controller.
Haha snork what funny name but I think they are scary when you don't realize they going to ambush you
When trapper creates a youtube channel
Yes.
Great video but will be there video about cut mutants?
Thanks, I think I will make such a video yes.
when i first encountered burer in cop i freaked out and throw bunch grenades and also shoot it down many many times
Understandable reaction.
Imo bloodsuckers probably reproduce but in an alien, non mammal way. Maybe with eggs and a hidden reproductive gland? For example fish lay eggs and the males inseminate them from the outside. Snails also have weird reproductive processes
Yes maybe, I hope we'll learn more about that in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.
Does anyone else wonder if controllers were an early attempt at a defensive psy-field? Like the brain scorcher but smaller and more mobile.
"But the eyes are WEIRD" was hilarious to me
lol im sure i killed them normally when i played the games originally.. but i must of killed 50 bloodsuckers in GAMMA and i just assumed i couldn't do damage to them when they were invisible.. i really made strelok's hideout alot more frustrating than it needed to be
u are my favorite stalker content creator u keep game alive keep going.
The Poltergeist was an Human Mutant too ;)
We'll talk about the poltergeist in the next episode, because its case is more complex.
Didnt know about the controller cave in sat in, thatw pretty cool
Yes it's a nice detail.
Burer literally a Jedi 😂
its interesting how most of these mutants survive in closed places without food. also to those bloodsucker tentacles. in soc i had them in inventory and i started bleeding for no reason or when i started bleeding it kept worsening. until i removed them. i havent used bleeding artefacts then. but idk if it really works or not. i also thought that pseudogigant is humanoid
Yes, it is indeed quite a mystery. I'm not sure if bloodsucker tentacles do cause bleeding, but who knows ? As for the pseudogiant, we'll talk about him in the next episode.
isn't that story about snork killing someone with a rusty shotgun supposed to include the fact that the snork used the shotgun as a melee weapon?
Makes me wonder if there is any way of reasoning or communicating with controllers, it seems to me that they are following the orders of the C-Con in some instances and just fighting for their survival in others, it would be cool if this was explored further
S.t.a.l.k.e.r channels gonna blow up when S.t.a.l.k.e.r:Heart of Chernobyl comes out.
Mark my words!
We'll see soon enough.
I just hope that it doesn't end up being Cyberpunk 2.
What videos you planning to the rest of the year?
@@bencebaranyi4120 My main focus will be to finish the series about secret underground locations, and trust me there is a lot of work to be done here. I'll also make more videos about mutants and other stuff. Then, there is one series of videos that I promised to make a long time ago which I really need to start working on. Finally, I got a big new project on the way, and you should hear about it pretty soon.
I like to think the process of making all the humanoid mutants except the snorks is the same and it's the traits of the person prior to the process that influence the outcome
That could be an interesting concept.
I have a bad flashback while hearing snork noises.
I know what you mean.
You missed about burers, if your stamina is low, they can pull the weapon from your hands.
I'm pretty sure I said that.
15:41
In russian version the controller calls you muzhik, which is can translated as man but it has a little friendly connotation, it is like calling someone a dude but it's in a less childish way, usually used for grown men, so, the "controller not considering himself a human" thing is not conceived by the devs
Alright, I guess I pushed the analysis a bit too far. Thanks for letting me know.
You should look out the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. comics ;)
I could only find one in russian. You know if a translation was ever made ?
@@anomalousdugout9557 i don't think a translation of the comics was ever made but I'm not 100% Shure .
14:52 the way he flew lol
A nice ragdoll indeed.
My personal theory is that the controllers were actually the scientists working in the X labs during the second disaster.
I almost peed when i first saw the controller
Burer is easiest mutant that i killed.
He have special powers which we heard in the video, but he can use only one of them (can't use 2 or more in same time).
So, you have to shoot him when he uses special power, except bullet stopping field (high magnetic field).
That works, but if there is more than one burer then it gets a bit harder.
I'd forgotten that burer ambush, they are a very difficult foe to deal with!
not so much, i beat one with a GP37 with a few deaths, and if your talking about lab x8 where theres more, then get the gauss rifle
Well they are certainly harder to kill than most other mutants.
5:39 "Ulrich Klose" LMAO This is a real german journalist that is still working for RTL xD
National Geographic is hitting different these days.
I Love these Videos.
Thanks.
@@anomalousdugout9557 Np Man. I like watching these.
The best lore channel
Thank you very much.
The way to beat him is to use a gauss rifle with a full upgrade
My man looking like a pseudodog from S.T.A.L.K.E.R
Awesome content from awesome man. Also, how you could do that third person camera in front of you? I want to do that so I could screenshot my character sometimes with SEVA or military suit
There should be key binds to allow 2nd and 3rd person views. Check this out: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/540331-stalker-shadow-of-chernobyl/41030560
@@anomalousdugout9557 Thank you!
Very interesting thank you
The fact that the bloodsuckers lacked reproductive organs is probably a hint that they may be asexual when the situation calls for much like certain specie of animals and only have them when their lair is big enough to support that which is a complete nightmare to deal with since if one survived, they will just come back again.
Or maybe GSC couldn't get it featured or else the game won't get pass the ratings. Probably why the rest of the mutant is like that.
Yes, it's definitely possible. Perhaps we'll learn more about that in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2...
