@@zabiullah9329 the last episode of the third season i believe when eren touched historias hand
@@zabiullah9329 the quote was from the manga. I don't remember if the anime paraphrased it or changed it completely but the episode was when Kruger saved Grisha and decided to pass on the attack titan to him. I think it's the second to last or the last episode of season 3
The attack is basicaly the personification of ymir's wish for freedom
I don’t think the attack titan’s ability was to see into the future. That was Eren’s power through the founder. Eren used the founder’s power to manipulate his predecessors into taking certain actions that would work towards his goal. Eren isn’t just the current holder of the attack titan. He IS the attack titan.
I cant even imagine the amount of fear they must’ve felt knowing they can’t run anywhere or stop the rumbling

I must say that this scene is TOTALLY better than the manga, the OST, the Colossal Titans, especially the Founding Titan LOOKS so freaking great. Thank you MAPPA for giving us a great final episode!
What a great ending to a series, it was kind of a straight forward end from isayama tho but still amazing

The same way isayama ended the manga with chapter 139 and mappa is ending it with a season that covers 9 chapters
I think the OST choice during this scene makes a lot of sense. The track could be representative of Eren figuratively wiping out those that brought about his suffering all the way back in Season 1, but it could also be representative of how the entire world now sees Eren as an unambiguously evil threat, much like how Eren saw the titans when the series began.
Do you know the name of the ost?
I think the ost is a bit of a misuse here, it sounds too uplifting too heroic. I think the ost when the colossal titan breaches the wall in the first episode would be perfect here aside from fitting it would further reinforce the parallel with the 1st episode
And add some horror vibes like what we got when we first saw the titans, this scene is even more horrific

Did you know that in the lyrics of this OST, it says “Die Erde dröhnt und wird rot
Die Leute erinnern sich an diese Tragödie” which directly translates to “The world turns red and rumbles, the world will remember that tragedy forever.” Mind you, this OST has been being used since season 1.
Eren convinced Hiroyuki Sawano when to write it for the lyrics
But Die Leute is the people (yeah world can mean people too but you get what i mean)
It also says: is that the destroyer or the creator?
@@Bojoschannel yeah and continues with "is this our fate or our will?" I speak german and understand the OST very well. Ever since episode 1 this is imo the most fitting OST for the whole show. I was surprised and stunned when I heard they still use it up to this day.

To be honest, I’ve completely given up on picking a side, I find it much more enjoyable to just feel like I’m watching things play out from a completely neutral perspective

The Ost fits perfectly:
"Ist das der Zerstörer oder der Schöpfer?"
"Is this the destroyer or the creator?"
Schöpfer is another german word for god in that aspect.
We've been listening that track since season 1 and it fit everytime Eren turned into a madman. Now we can finally see that he was always the destroyer, or both?
@@marleystar3 True, but God is also called the creator so it goes both ways
I suppose. But that part of the track feels too heroic to be used for the rumbling, IMO. I would've just used the slower version from when Bertoldt destroyed the gate.
What song is it? Never could find the name for it
1:36 That moment is absolutely iconic
A perfect replica of episode 1 when the collosal titans head appeared and proceeded to rip Eren's life apart.

Yeah very nice imagry
I think it’s more terrifying on how fast the wall titans are being portrayed here, which gives off the dread of being able to run nowhere
Yeah. I thought they were a lil slow because of the manga shots, but JESUS CHRIST they're fast in the water. This episode was everything I needed for the part 2. Excited for 2023!
the same as it was in episode one when people were surrounded by the walls, it's reversed now xD
@@epRivera Nah, they were always fast. They said a couple episode ago that the rumbling is as fast as a horse, which can go 55mph. In the manga, a character says "Why are they so fast" in regards to the rumbling.
What's even more terrifying is that even if you somehow can slip through the titan's legs and avoid being crushed, you'd very soon after be scorched alive
@@cirnocard5710 i wasnt aware of that, and here i was thinking i had beat the rumbling. would you rather be burned by the steam or crushed by the foot?
This was so insane to watch, never imagined this to look so good after reading the manga.

Mannn i can wait for part 3 to be animated
As much as people hate anime CGI they can’t deny is keeps getting better sometimes you can’t even notice it like in demon slayer season 2 most of the fights had lots of cgi honestly it seems after demon slayer’s success anime studios have being putting more effort into cgi since demon slayer have made mix of it, and then jujitsu Kaisen and attack on titan started with ok cgi but it have gradually improved.
"And it's name is... The Attack Titan."
The fact that Colossal Titans can swim so fast made it even more terrifying. Seeing how all their efforts meant nothing to the Rumbling gave me chills. They truly captured the feeling of absolute dread.. I can't wait to see what they do with chapter 131 :')
Lol next year 😂😂
U mean "THIS IS FREEDOM". ?
Stay strong cause we are going to wait again until the next year
Eren is the embodiment of freedom
@@amberturdsdog That’s so fucking stupid that they put our hype shit around this episode being an hour long and it meant absolutely nothing for another year
If we’re gonna get THIS level of phenomenal animation for part 3 I’m all for it
Kudos to everybody at mappa for stepping up the game of this part
I'm not gonna lie, I started laughing when I saw the colossal titans swimming, it's just not what I expected and I found it very funny
Imagine a whole Titan is swimming irl thats not funny anymore :(
yeah it was weird. they were all paddling their feet xD
@@garrosh9215 of course, how the heck are you supposed to swim
Crazy how the ocean is big enough for them to swim on. Really scary…
Idem 😂😂
0:56 Now I have a megalophobia
When the ost started playing this looked like a victory charge for Eren, after all the shit he is been through he is finally paying back all the hate he was given
They brought back the Season 3 music.
This ost has been here ever since season 1
This ost is from season 1 not 3
They remixed it again it sounds like
@@90snickshows84 yea I think they played some of it in the trailer
To be honest, I was hoping Mappa used Footsteps of Doom for this scene.
But it's even better like this, amazing work.
Especially after all this time not hearing the main theme, having it come back with Eren as the aggressor is perfect
Yeah, I would have been fine if they used Footsteps of Doom, because it's the og rumbling theme, but if there was one ost that could fit as well it was this one.
Now we have to wait for the finale.
I think it'll work better in 131 honestly probably saving it for those scenes
@@GezzarTV You're right, probably
In some way the music used here was perfect, I mean it was used when our heroes fought titans with the hope of winning, here there is no hope of winning, it’s more dreadful acts done by OUR hero(s) with the same helplessness imprinted on the people as was on the island well over now 10 odd years prior. It is and I am not sure if I’m getting the right feeling, but it’s almost sorta bitter sweet hearing it again
This is the perfect music for this scene, the same ost was played when Eren's hometown was breached and his mom was eaten in the first episode, and in this revenge scene hearing that same ost just gives chills, no other ost except this would have suited this scene ,not rumbling, not ghe footsteps of doom, not the war ost and not even youseebiggirl!!
Dude I’ve been waiting for this scene to be animated for like god how knows long.. I’m satisfied.
The choice of OSTs in this episode was purely amazing. MAPPA did an amazing job in this season, what an amazing ride it has been ths year. See you all in 2023! ⚔❤
EREN WAS REALLY SERIOUS ABOUT HIS MOM'S DEATH !!!
BRO TOO SERIOUS
Eren killed his own mom
But he-
Wait no
Wouldn't we all be mad too 😂
I just love how the Attack Titan's new face as the Founding Titan looks, having the lips, they show how calm Eren is in his march, but the teeth signify the genocidal fury he's about to lay waste to the world with, two expressions at the same time, hard to tell which is the most frightening.
Nice observation
Marley when they see eren's attack titan :
Its the founding titan !
Also marley when they see eren's founding titan :
Its the attack titan !
they a lil confused but they got the spirit!
lol
1:21から鳥肌がヤバすぎる
“Every since that day without stopping once he kept moving forward”
CHILLS! Just amazing. The music, what the rumbling means to Eren, and the revenge in his eyes. Can't get any better.
0:55 the curse of the anime steam hiding good parts of the body continues
One of the best episodes of attack on titan
Mappa absolutely nailed it!!
attack on titanが流れて盛り上がるけど、9年前と立場が180°入れ替わっているからどうしても複雑な感情になってしまう……
The last scene is exactly the last scene of Rumbling op!!!!
What really made this a nuance cooler for me as a german was that at 0:33, where all the soldiers look unto the Rumbling the background music sings "Ist das unser Schicksal?" "Is this our destiny?"
Attack on Titan really takes inspiration from War, it's what Isayama inspired him the most
There’s no doubt in my mind that the image Isayama had in his mind when he first started working on AoT was this one. Everything else, from the wall being destroyed, to humans being eaten alive by Titans, to seeing Marley’s perspective, was all just clever planning to lead up to this moment, hence the name Shingeki no Kyojin (The Attack Titan).
I could die happy right now!
Mappa you once again nailed it!
0:17 I literally started crying with this. What a fucking masterpiece.
That face gives nightmares 😭
Have you read 139? I’m sure if you did you wouldn’t be saying this anime is a masterpiece. But who knows. Maybe it would be if Isayama wasn’t such a failure.

One word, BEAUTIFUL. The rumbling is amazing
no
@@jennifercockburn3575 ok😂
It's beautiful yet so cruel.
Yeah whatever..
Marley: Well well well, if it isn’t the consequences of my actions
That shot when it goes from Eren to the colossal titans is amazing
0:50 one soldier was so terrified he trips out of existence
LMFAO I didn't notice that until you pointed it out
HAHAHA
This looks incredible. I can’t imagine the terror they were feeling…
This really freaked me out.
The music, coupled with the sheer scale of the Rumbling was done phenomenally.
"We used hatred against one another. We cultivated it. And believed that it could save us. That monster was born. It came to return all the hatred we've poured onto them for centuries."
As pleasantly deserved too.
Marley been warned of the rumbling a hundred years ago, they knew what would happen but they didn’t wanna listen. Fuck em.
1:37 looks exactly like s1 when colossal titan overshadowed shiganshina
0:56 this shit give me chills. Imagine seeing that coming to you
Eren : You destroyed my wall so I just use wall to destroy you next then.
It’s the RATIO TITAN!
Thank you WIT and MAPPA, without your hard work we wouldn't get to this point. Thank you Sawano and Kohta for delivering such an impactful and memorable pieces of music. Thank you all the VA for bringing all the character to life. And most important of all, Thank you Isayama for creating one of the greatest story ever made.
I demand a payraise for all *MAPPA* Stuff... animators, producers and all...they surpassed their limits again and made the Anime even greater
But rage really made Eren forget that he is committing the same atrocity he wanted to solve..how *ATTACK ON TITAN* ish
Edit: That Childhood memory tho describes his immense hatred
All of my speakers, SHINZOU WO SASAGEYO for this moment
From Shiganshina looking up at the Collosal titan..
To Marley looking at the Rumbling..
They really saved their Budget that's for sure
1:07 Eren : Actually, I am Attack + Founder + Warhammer Titan but Oh well...
People seem to forget that everyone on Paradis (military specifically), put their faith in Eren (Jean, Mikasa, Armin, Conny, hange, Levi, Erwin, Pixis etc). He was encouraged to learn, perfect and master his Titan abilities to protect them and help them fight back for humanity’s survival.
Eren trusted Armin and his friends to have a plan so they could survive. Armin had a lot of influence over Eren and even told him long ago “To endure becoming a monster you have to discard your humanity” AND “ A person who cannot sacrifice everything can CHANGE NOTHING”
This is not new news… in order to beat the female Titan and have humanity (paradis) have its first chance at survival he knew what needed to be done. Eren sacrificed his humanity because he wants his friends and homeland to have a chance to live a long life. The world will never stop coming for them and He knows his days are numbered. If he doesn’t follow through the people that died in hopes for a future outside the walls in his mind would have died for nothing.
Marley and the world were too focused on power and oppression and wanting to exterminate them. Now they have unleashed a beast. They kept this war going on and keeping eldians as basically slaves and pigs for slaughter. Now their days are also numbered. War is war and in the AOT universe the world is cruel… (that was stated in season 1)
When Eren watched his mom be eaten right in front of him, he said “I will kill every last Titan”… we all sided with eren back then… I may not agree with eren completely, but I get where he is coming from.
I listened to Kom, Susser Tod while watching this scene. I dunno why, just felt appropriate.
