  • What going on everyone? I just got back from Northern Idaho helping out RSRacecraft build some of their Mini jet boats. Such awesome mini jet boats. This 2005 Suzuki LTZ 400 had some major valve train issues. Another shop attempted to put in a new valve guide but failed. How didn't this LTZ 400 motor not blow up is pure luck. Unfortunately I once again last some footage. It happened to be some of the most important. So it's time to upgrade my recording equipment.

That's awesome that you still have it & brought it back to life, making it bigger & badder than before.

Working on one right now that exhaust was good but the left intake had no clearance. Even removed all the shims and still none.
Valve was sucked into seat. Sent out and had new valves installed.
Didn't want to idle. Starts great on full choke and partial choke when warm, but dies at idle.
Snorkel and air box lid has been removed. Guy I work with owns it. And bought it barely running.
    More fun to follow.

@@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 told the guy to get a rebuild kit, but he said it ran great when started.
Then I found out that he only got it started once and ride it for a lithe while.
I guess he doesn't mind Spending $100 hour for me to remove it again. Could have all been rebuilt waiting for the head to come back.

Lol yup. I try to tell my customers if you lie to me you're only costing yourself more money. It doesn't hurt my pockets at all.

I use go/ no go feeler gauges. That way you know if the .001 bigger fits right then.

I do like those too. A lot of time I need the thinner ones aslo I'm able to put my own bend in them depending on what in working on.

No I screwed up in thay part of the video. If you watch further on I correct myself. You always want to do the intake cam first & then the exhaust cam. That way you end up with the chain slack on. The timing chain tensioner side.
