I think I would have welded strengthening pieces over where the frame bent after straightening it because that's now a weak point on either side as the metal has softened etc.
No you do not want to do that because it will change the crashworthyness of the part. Leave it like it is is the safest even though that seems strange.
I would just weld them cracks up. The frame needs to be able to buckle or fold down or up. But I would really remove the spacers. Or put smaller ones it for the body lift
Based on how the bed sits up against the cab, it still doesn't look perpendicular. I think that frame is still a little tweaked... I'd look for a pinched wire
Loose connection or broken wire from removing the bed and straightening the frame at least that’s the first place I would look because the truck ran fine before you took the bed off.
I agree with your assessment considering it was running before they removed the bed very they could hit the fuel pump connector or broke a wire during disassemble or reassemble 😊
I agree...that was my first thoughts..something was hit/cut during removal of bed
Fuse 27 check fuse box probably melted common on these
There’s a fuse relocation kit for that issue. TSB for it.
They'res a fuel cut off switch or a button on the passenger side on the dashboard
Fix it and keep it! But take the red neck emblems off
The truck is awesome it's a beautiful truck. And thank you for having my boy on there. I think you may have done something to the wire when you put the bed back on or when taking it off.
The inertia switch causes that issue it allow you to run it for a few seconds and then it'll trip and shut the fuel off
So, what happened with the frame? Did he just pull it, beat it out and paint it or did he section the frame after he pulled it? Because it really matters.
You put the bed on the supply pipe from the tank the red line
Check all the wires/pipes etc around the bed...something has got snagged or a pipe has got pinched ..easy fix for you guys 🚗👍😉
Best way I have ever seen someone talk about a sponsor.
Just because the fuel pump is running dozen't mean it's putting out the pressure the engine needs to run . Check the fuel pressure requirement and test . then go from there . Nice looking truck, quick build and you should be able to make a good profit on this one.
Towing with that jacked up POS is a dangerous thing even before crashing talk about a made to flip over design...yuk looks stupid like a kids toy.
Try to put some fuel in it.
It’s the inertia switch that is why the truck won’t start. Check the power panel on the passenger side
You find some wicked trucks. The Ford in white with the front and the lift looks amazing!
Great work you guys should take off that body lift
The Brothers they do a terrific and amazing job on these trucks
23:18 Ground wire left off at rear that runs fuel pump when you pulled the bed.
Drivers side of the bed still looks like it’s bent down.. is it level or bent?
Maybe a loose ground when you put the bed back on!
Nice truck, except the emblem!!!🤣 Maybe a pinched gas line?
It could be the transponder in the key, the spare key in some models do not have 1
I know Ford uses a inertia switch that would be down in the passenger side kick panel usually and that will cut off the fuel pump if it's been in an accident. Sometimes you have to go and reset it. But I wouldn't think you would have it running at all if that was the case.
I imagine you already ran your scan tool, I would trace from the gas tank to the engine to see the problem. How long did it run getting it off the trailer, it might have been bad before you worked on it. I would check the wiring with a meter to see if there is a bad wire.
GUYZ,
FORD never made a REDNECK EDITION truck.
That badge is an accessory available at Wal-mart.
!
Get the body lift off its a little bit too high nice truck👍👍
Not being a fan of lifted trucks I would either remove the body lift or the suspension lift. Having both is a bit much. Also Redneck is not a Ford model/branding name, just a name made up by someone. You can buy the plastic Redneck emblems on eBay for $10.00.
I’ve owned & played wth many, many trucks! Big tired every one! ( 20-30) never lifted one of mine! Lifted many for others! Every single guy, every! mentioned how much more gas / fuel the truck “ate” after the lift! Not for me! The boys “will “ find a buyer, for this truck & will save the new owner a lot of $ ! Box still not a good fit!
I wouldn't trust that frame for heavy towing, for pickp use only its perfect.
I wouldn’t trust a Ford frame to tow anything in the first place My buddy had a F350 I let him borrow my car holler and an hour later I get a call from him that his tow hitch ripped The back half of the frame out it took the bumper and The hitch with part of the frame all he was hauling was a Little tractor
The “redneck” badge is custom. They’re on eBay. No such factory option!
I have a feeling he was saying that in a sarcastic way
yep =)
Sometimes damage just is damage, it is a truck, it will have scratches and dents, unless you want to make it showroom condition, I would to a PDR on the dent, get a tail light and call it a day, still a great truck if that is all the damage.
An angel is born every time someone lowers an American Ute down to factory height.
I love trucks but I am to old for a lifted one, very nice truck, I know you would like to keep them all, but money in the bank is 100xs better than a pretty truck in the yard
Lots of fords have a fuel cutoff switch that will sometimes trigger for no reason at all. I'd check there. Also interesting you guys fixed/painted the tailgate bumper but didn't do anything with the bedside damage. Seems you'd fix/paint everything 1 time
Would save a lot of masking , why not fix the bed while off,,,, is beyond me also !
Ivan is the Gandalf of painting.
You guys make things look so easy its ridiculous 😅🤣😂
Nice quick job guys. I would make the F150 the parts truck for the business and make the Duramax the family pickup. Next! Stay safe and God Bless.
What about a close up shot of finished frame work?
Should have been sectioned with a new back half, pretty sure they’re is a place just behind cab to do so…
Fuel Pump relay? Had the same problem with our 14 Flex.
Maybe a crash sensor in the rear is triggering a fuel shut off.
I would check the fuel line running from the tank its probably pinched and loosing fuel pressure
I was thinking the frame should have been strengthened. But then somebody will get a fancy F150 for a decent price and with 90K miles, it's unlikely the strength of the frame will be an issue.
😲Did you put GAS in it? you said the gas light was on😁🤣😂
I’d love to see you guys take a lifted, gaudy truck and turn it back into a classy sleek truck. I’m in the minority here, but I don’t care for lifted trucks or gaudy look-at-me modifications.
Being you took the bed off and put it back on maybe you did something that’s were I would be checking
Yes keep it great truck
Love the 5.0, love ford pickups, I've owned several of both but the 2 don't mix right. That's a car engine %100 never belonged in a truck even when it was labeled 302. I'd rather have a late 70's epa choked 390fe.
i check make sure that there's a chip in the key for the mobiliser
Maybe messing with the bed knocked a wire loose. Also, check crash button just in case
RE: the bed step. You missed the part about flipping the step open before stepping upon it.
That truck would be so much nicer if you can run those tires without the body lift.
You should keep it a very nice spec
Don't Ford's have fuel shut off that works after a rear collision?
Good looking truck for sure!
Switch for activation the fuel pump
You too really need to pave your working lot....I can't imagine working in that mud.
Nice job,... is there a low fuel shut off that stops the pump from running ?
Fuel cut off switch
Awesome looking truck. When and where are you going to post it for sale?
Mass air flow
I’ve been looking for a truck like thst
Why not strengthening the frame where it bent????
I say flip it.... it's a VERY nice truck.
Great show
Good afternoon guys, like them all as long as they run lol.
Get rid of the body lift . Redneck edition just emblems off of ebay but nice truck .
I do not see anymore videos about this F-150. Did you fix the running issue or the rear bumper?
My Jeep did the same thing and it was a fuel pup relay not sure if ford has the same thing or not.
Love the build what a great job
Tried putting gas in
I bet with all of these lifted trucks you guys are doing these days, it sure is nice to have the fork lift going again.
Oh ya makes it much nicer
That looked like a camper pad in the bed. A heavy camper could have contributed to the damage.
Deal is peace of mind new frame 3,500
Looks like the frame is still bent. The gap at the top of the bed is bigger than at the bottom.
Very good job 👌
Plenty of room for a supercharger gents!
SF state : farm insurance
I know the old f-150 have a fuel modular by the Spare tire mount. Might of not plugged it in all the way playing with the frame on the rack. This is a old video so I bet you have it fixed by now. Lol😂
That's what I'm looking for
Fill the tank😉
Check the fuel reset switch. In rear collisions on Fords, it needs to be rest. Mike and Ivan do great work indded
I told MIKE that the Truck was mad at Him for lining up the front end because it ran fine until Islam aligned it thin it wouldn't stay running . SCRUBS say NIKO BROS OTAY | Mike doesn't know who BUCKWHEAT is .
It not a real trim. They just added ebay emblems to it.
SF means State Farm
Awesome job...do you recommend any shops like yours on the west Coast..San Fran
Central California area??
Might be the inertia switch
Wassup the seat is normal wear and tear
Could it be the relay bad and get hot and coming on and turning right back off?
What did the red wire go to under the bed?
Like the code for the door lock, that's unheard of in South Africa
Run out of fuel ? low level light was on
Looks like your new truck to me
I had a good laugh seeing that big horn hidden under the bed.
That wasn't a Horn its the spare tire winch that holds up the tire under the bed . It does look like a Horn . IT a plastic tube that the ext. shaft goes through to line it up .
Fuel filter or fuel pump relay?
Good work. Keep it coming. Get Done ✔ 😆. Mike saying. You should copyright it
Check the mass air flow sensor
Low fuel and dirty filter
👍 Nice
I see you called a chitter bug
