      How can you forgive someone who purposely hurt you and they never apologized??

    • @JesusAlways1st
      @JesusAlways1st 7 місяців тому +41

      Forgiveness is for both because God loves both. When the one who has been hurt forgives, healing can truly begin in their heart and life so they can go on with life. They don’t carry the anger that can eventually destroy them and hurt those who love them. That forgiveness which is given hopefully will be received by the one who caused the hurt and pain. Hopefully it will cause that person to sincerely repent and say, I am sorry; please forgive me; I was so wrong!! God wants to extend healing to both. Maybe reconciliation can take place in family relationships depending on what happened!!! At least the person has done their part in forgiving!

      @lorim.2657, pray for that person to learn forgiveness, and by all means, you should forgive that person.

    • @Patawon
      @Patawon 7 місяців тому +16

      @@lorim.2657because if you don’t, it will continue to negatively affect you. The Word says to pray for your enemies. It’s hard, but it’s a wonderful skill to develop. In this case, I highly doubt Usher’s dad meant to hurt him, he was probably dealing with his own issues and didn’t know how to show up. That’s not an excuse, but life is hard. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Somewhere along the line that turned into “Ima match energy and get mine.”

    Kudos to Usher for saying this. Fathers are needed!!
    A son needs his father to guide him into manhood and teach him the pitfalls and things he can expect in life and how to properly navigate through them!!
    And a daughter needs that father's love to protect and show her what a good man who remains as well as provides for the household looks like.
    Without strong men to guide our sons and daughters, the family dynamic is missing an integral part!!

      ALL young women and women, in general, MUST choose better if they expect better and stop 🛑 making excuses for making poor choices.
      As I share with others, God 👑 ALWAYS tells us not to proceed with certain people. Unfortunately, many children suffer because of the d-u-m-b choices of their parents.
      Marry before you carry isn't just a slogan. It's a moral stance...a value stance and it is the BEST path to take ALWAYS. All women need to return to God's 👑 Way and His Will. This backwards mess has been destroying the communitah for well over 50 years. Children suffer, unnecessarily, because of it.

    I doff my hat to all black fathers some of whom struggle with these unpleasant memories.

    Usher's speech is so revealing and enlightening!🧐 With guys keeping their real feelings to themselves, we often forget that they even have feelings... It's refreshing to see guys show their real feelings for a change. This is so healthy for them and I hope that guys can find healing by facing their pain by peacefully vocalizing their pain in a healthy way, like this, so they can be there for their children, their family and friends, each other, and more importantly, themselves. 🥰💞🙏 God bless them on their journey to much needed healing, forgiveness, and happiness. 🙏

    Damn… my brothers and me went through the same thing and 2024 was the year we got to meet my fathers family for the first time and got to understand a little more of what he went through to make the decisions that he did. Crap still hurts but what hurts the most is hearing his story a little. Pops died before he got to tell his story but I no longer carry around that anger. I pray we may all be able to learn the life stories of our fathers and let go of that anger.

      Father split from my mother when I was two years old. Growing up we often blame one side for the breakup, but when you get older and become your own man, you have a different understanding of how difficult things can be. We as black men don’t have it all figured out, but sometimes we do our best. Me and my Dad are still good, and I now have my own Family. A wife, 3 kids, and one grandson. I have done my best to be a good Dad, with what I had to learn the hard way. My babies are 30, 20, and 18 and doing well, so I thank God for them.

      But I wouldn’t have been able to do myself, The Lord has really helped me & I now recognize that he carried me thru those years. But now he’s walking beside me & holding my hand. He’s my best friend.
      To know how amazing he is, and knowing my Dads with him, brings me so much peace & happiness for him. 💞
