My opinion here since I'm really into combat boots and I've had a lot of different brands. Rothco - Cheap stuff but good for abusing Altama - Very decent. My tan boots have held up under so much wear walking and outside work. (I walk two or more miles every day and I've had them for four years as of writing this. The soles still have tons of life and the upper is so broken in that it's floppy.) Bates - Extremely comfortable. Durable but the soles feel a bit flimsy to me. LawPro (no longer made) - Has to be the best budget combat boot I've ever had as long as you get some comfortable insoles. I just wish they were still made. Interceptor - My old pairs actually held up apart from one having the stitching at the toe come undone and the nylon stuff separate from where the eyelets are. The side zippers on one pair did keep undoing at the ankle while they were still zipped up but it was only if they were laced too tight. Tactical Research - Decent but the soles feel a bit thin. Very comfortable to. Vintage GI - The stuff I trust the most of anything. They will not fail.
Great boots for the price, run at least 1 size big. I’ve had no problems with them. Light but durable, great grip with the Panama style bottom. Just get a good insole and you’re good to go. Not sure what this guys talking about 😂

i hear the Altama jungle boots are good and comfortable
Been wondering about the sizing. How is the sizing compared to heritage work boots like Red Wing and Wolverine? Can I choose the same size?
