Glad you enjoyed that. From such humble beginnings to Drumeo Rock Drummer of the Year 2023. Rock On 🥁🥁
Paulina is an awesome drummer, singer, songwriter and person!!
Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
Spectacular breakdown! So nice to see it thru a professional eye. For example we all know she’s an amazing front person but the “whys” & “how’s” are the fascinating details.
There is so much talent between the three of them. It’s really quite stunning. Thanks for sharing. Fun video.
Great video RC! Once again I find myself asking the question, "I wonder if Pau can ..." Yes, yes she can.
Great reaction. I appreciate your insight as a musician, which I am not. Thank you.
I love your analysis! Noticed Pau took out her earpiece while performing.
I was gonna comment on that as well.
To expound on that a bit further, Pau often uncovers one ear when she sings lead like at a radio station while wearing headphones.
Someone commented that headphones can build pressure in the ear canal and it seems to bother her.
I don’t remember if she purposely took out her one In Earz or if it fell out in this performance. I know you can see her at times while she’s drumming adjust her In Earz back in because I suppose they work loose from sweat and movement.
@@mjc1389 I don't know if this is analogous because I have never used in-ear monitoring, but in the old days you would often see vocalists in the studio holding the headphones to one ear. Personally, I have done this because listening to the track with my best ear while hearing my voice in the ambient with the other seems to aid me in hearing how my voice actually sounds interacting with the track, rather than just in my head. Plus, in live performances, dropping one earpiece allows you to hear the crowd response better. A good example of this is Su-Metal when she is singing with the crowd. You will often see her drop one ear piece to hear the crowd.
That was a fantastic breakdown, I had just seen this video yesterday but it's really helpful to get a perspective from someone that knows what to look for. Pau has some clearly superhuman attributes, and as you point out, they all do. There are similar compilations of the other two as well, I don't know if they are compiled by the same person. Links I post always disappear on youtube, so if I find others I'll message them to you.
Nice reaction! The evolution of Pau is awesome! These ladies have greatness coming in the future
It was Awesome and so were Ale's and Dany's
Talented right from the start! This really shows just how much work she has put in (and continues to put in) to become the world class Drummer, Vocalist and Song Writer she is today!
Wow. Sudden acceleration of technique/confidence at 12 years old... her movements took on a new maturity. Edit: OK, you were right. It was at 11 that the acceleration began.
Pau being a front person reminds me of “Honey Badger don’t care.” She makes it look like she’s fearless and nothing can bother her. Pau is a human Honey Badger like Iggy Pop was. They are just born with an ability to fearlessly put it all out there.
This man loves him some Paulina. I do too.
Great analysis. You caught the little things that most of us would just gloss over, and it makes you say, "Oh Yeah"!
Excellent observations and breakdown. Your comment about her playing to, and connecting with, the crowd when she is out front is shown in the full video of the song when she bends over, at the edge of the stage, and forms a half heart with her fingers and connects it to the other half a fan was holding up. That small gesture also reveals what so many people say about them as a band and their emotive caring about their fans. It also speaks to what you said about how in the moment she actually is.
Take care
David
Great reaction! 🤘🤘⚡⚡⚡ Pau is pure energy!
In my opinion they left out the bast one "10 Year Old Girl Drummer- Paulina From Mexico - My Life Would Suck-Cobus Version", now that's one to watch. Also Ale's part in "Hysteria" at their Liceo performance. Another good show to watch their "Dakota Bar" show, of course there are many others, so dive in, the water's fine.
Thanks for your insight, really enjoyed it!!👏⚡️
Great reaction RC....you pointed out a whole lot of things I would have never ever noticed...thanks for sharing.
I like the idea of Pau covering that Melissa Etheridge song! I think Ale's voice might match even better but I'm not sure Ale can quite project power in her voice like her sisters or like Melissa. Maybe a cover where all three sisters take turn singing lead??
Cool idea!
❤🤘⚡🥁
What a great comparison to Melissa Etheridge. Thanks for highlighting Pau unleashed. Although the Warning don't use deck wedges, they do use sidefills for the vocals. Another concern, when wearing IEM's, a main problem is that the stereo image in the ears, which includes audience sound, rotates with her head, so the audience sound is always in front of her even if her head is pointed to the side, which can be very disorienting. You'll see that she has removed her left ear. For a look at Dany unleashed, see ua-cam.com/video/1xhGgoKsDTA/v-deo.htmlsi=HXBnzcY1GTGUDd7i&t=60. Will you be reacting to Automatic Sun with studio audio?
