  • After years of chipping away on this thing it's finally moving under it's own power. Gettin' closer to that all important inspection sticker.
UPDATE: What appeared to be a stuck throttle turned out to be a stuck IAC valve, which allowed air to bypass the throttle blade, basically creating a massive vacuum leak. Like it doesn't have enough of those already. Cleaned the IAC valve, again, and the engine is running much better now.

@@mimief7969 Thanks! It has the basic fuel injected 302 that most of them had, although 1989 was the last year for the carbureted 351. Old Dodge trucks are cool. V8 powered?

@@oldsledpurgatory3595 I had a friend from Detroit who loved these, called it a "Keys" 😂 I like that you have the 80s motor, I think they're fun to work on, everyone is always telling me to LS swap or mess with my cars too much. Glad you got it running.
Yeah it's a D100 long bed with a 318. It's taken me almost 2 years to go from lawn ornament to daily with minor & cosmetic issues. I drive a wrecker and I bought it from our auction, some people abandoned it on an old country road and never came back.

@@mimief7969I believe that saving old cars and trucks is a worthy endeavor for extending vehicle service life, keeping parts suppliers in business, and making drivers happy. Good on ya for saving another old classic.
