Fake slabs with new certs usually lack the UV reactive trim at the top and the holo pattern of the PSA logo is absent. Since the number starts with 6X I assume it was a new cert. Dont you guys carry a little UV led light to just check those details? Its actually helpful with so many Ponchos and Munch counterfeits being bought. Quite handy.
Believe it or not this was actually my first show and was super unprepared lol I am for sure going to buy a UV light for future shows especially with the Houston collect a con around the corner!

@@Benjay010 I didn’t, at the time I thought his reaction was real and believed that he didn’t know and since he was a “reputable” seller that goes to plenty of shows I honestly didn’t expect him to flip it for 80 bucks. He kept a close eye on me and Magmon though that’s for sure, he hovered out booth for a good portion of our show and even came back asking to delete the footage.

That message on PSA is because someone is using the cert number to make a counterfeit which means his might not be the actual fake one. Could also be a fake "case/holder" as in they swapped the card but the card itself might not be fake just a lower grade put in trying to be made to look like a 10. Should be able to easily tell if the card itself is fake though and of course his could be the fake one with a fake case and fake card :).

@@gameradrianofficial9519 honestly counterfeit cards have always been an issue in the Pokémon community. There are apps (like the PSA app) that can let you know if a pokemon PSA slab is real or fake but sometimes they do replicate those slab numbers and QR codes onto fake slabs so you have to be very diligent when inspecting the slab, a UV light usually helps a ton in that aspect as it should show back the hidden PSA symbols on the slab. For raw, it’s a bit tricky. You’d have to see the front of the card and make your own conclusion on it. Things like the dullness or glossiness usually indicate a fake card. Shinning a flash light through it can also indicate if it’s a fake. It really all comes down to the quality of the card. The more you’re into the hobby, the more you’ll be able to tell the difference! Sorry if the explanation wasn’t all that great but I hoped it helped a bit!

If you take a look at his body language when I say I’m gonna scan it, you can tell he gets uneasy and knows it’s gonna come back as a fake. I would’ve never had him in the video (unblurred) if he didn’t sell it at the show for $80 allowing for the card to stay in circulation.
