You could always rent it. In reality when you own it. Your actually renting it. All responsible of Maintanence is huge and costly. You can only reserve so much time in life. When you rent things you do not have the heavy responsibility of the maintenance of the boat or anything… If you own it you should be renting it out so it can pay fir some of the costs… That is life in a nut shell.
Wow beautiful design and amazing features ! I hope I get to ride behind that someday… I wakeboard behind 03 and 07 xstar over 1,000 hours long time ago…good times!
At it does not look as vanilla as the G23. My lord... they look like a grandpa boat. That bow design is simply the weakest in the market. At least the Mastercraft looks racey.
It would be nice if these “Luxury” boats came with high tech engines.... like the verado 600 v12 and a multi speed transmission... that way we dont get smoked by a Lund with a 150hp outboard.
The best part about owning a Mercury is paying twice as much for an engine with only half the warranty. Their inboard engine technology relies on designs that were cutting edge over 30 years ago, but not today.
Thats all of them, except for the indmars... they are using ford 6.2 sohc... which is cool... because at least its 2010ish tech. PCM which is owned by CC, still using gm stuff, along with ilmor, and Monsoon... all same basic engine blocks... along with Volvo and Mercury( inboards). It would be nice to see them shove a powerstroke in the engine bay, with maybe a multi speed trans... you know.. in our luxury boats... heck or cummins. Maybe marinize fords new 7.3 big block. Give us more of a reason to spend 150k. I duno about you, but its embarrassing getting smoked by a lund with 150hp outboard heading in to dock. Our old boats are just as fast as our new boats!!! Why buy new for a few new touch screens and other software upgrades???
@@toddhewett1027 You should take a look at the 1998 Mastercraft or Nautique product catalogue if you want to see how much ski / wakeboard boats have changed in just over 20. If you really want a sub $100k tow boat just order one without a stereo, ballast, or wake enhancing equipment. Sanger makes a nice solid boat with the Raptor 6.2 that can easily outrun any other wakeboard boat, if you like speed.
Awesome!!! I love the fact that I am not the only one who knows about Sanger’s history!!! Yes I think Skiers Choice and Tige also use the indmar engines. ( so does Pavati) yeah I 100% agree that the 2021 engines are same basic builds from like 1996( gm vortec truck block). My block is a Merc Mag 350mpi... same engine as everyone else.... and yeah I have noticed that it seems like mercury buys delco parts, put them in “quicksilver” box, doubles or triples the price, then sells that as OEM. Smart diyers know how to xref parts numbers and save all while avoiding made in china trash. Yeah the 7.4 bbc has been out of production for at least 20 years... it was replaced by 8.1... again that block is gone too.... except for us in the boat world... its still modern tech. Something tells me a company could come along and market themselves as having actual new tech, using todays engines, and redesigned trans/vdrive, with wedges built into the hull( not off transom) or possibly a inverted foil on bottom of boat that deploys to jam the boat down in the water( could also be tilted to list one side or the other) but all dialed into the cpu. Heck if they actually thought outside the box and used physics they could actually downsize the engines and not have to worry about weighing boats down. Maybe its just me, but they are backwards thinking... and we are the sap who keep supporting them.
Awesome! Cant wait to afford this model in 15 years.

Can’t wait for this boat!
like you're getting an xstar for academy :p
The MasterCraft XStar S(till not as good as a Super Air Nautique G23)
At it does not look as vanilla as the G23. My lord... they look like a grandpa boat. That bow design is simply the weakest in the market. At least the Mastercraft looks racey.
Damn wish I could afford one of these
hi is the boat useing jet motors ore propelor
Wow! That looks amazing. Does the XStar S have a new hull design?
Doubt it, seems to be a evolution of previous years
I’ll take this one
Not close to my Paragon…not close.
Can I have one?
Ehh just put it on my credit card I’ll worry about it later
It’s literally a normal xstar with new transom seats. Nothing special
It also has an extra S on, so people will know you’re rich

For the love of all that is aesthetically pleasing, can we ditch that awful kink and butt cheek hump in the rub rail?
Centurion ri237 is a way better boat for half the cost
