@Newsbender It depends. If we're going to make dirty looks equivalent to one per video frame, at a rate of 30 FPS that's £1,800 for Kolee per minute of dirty looks. Not a rich man, but more than a tenner. I just don't know who would be awarding the money.

Now ? It’s a look of sheer arrogance as if we’re rats to them. It’s a disgrace. From the 1st second they just show attitude and disrespect in this video

If you approach with a camera, rudely interrupting in personal conversation, than YES you will get an attitude back!! Police reacted like anyone would if you poked your nose in.
This happened to me last year.
They stopped me for no insurance, I told them the policy expired and had auto *renewed* at midnight last night. (Which was true).
He said "so you are driving with no insurance, I'm placing you under arrest" literally read me my rights, called a tow truck to come seize my car. He didn't even check with my insurance company if what I was saying was true. Had to remove all my items from the vehicle.
Finally the towing company had my car all loaded up ready to be taken. When I demanded they call my insurance.
His parter called my insurance company who informed them that I was infact insured. They felt like muppets when the tow company had to take my car back off their truck.
Not a single apology, they then said that they weren't happy with my speed, and that my numberplate is illegal, and started picking on petty stuff.
They quickly got in their cars, put the blue lights on and sped off pretending they had an emergency.
My dash cam captured it all.

Never dismiss members of public with your tone of voice. (This is one of the reasons of disconnect between police and public btw)

Their suspicion was based ONLY on the basis of their inaccuracy and ignorance. He WAS insured to drive the motor car but because THEY have INACCURATE or DEFECTIVE information, it creates a suspicion directed at him - which could mean him being shot with electricity or poisoned gas? Hold on there, he had NOTHING to do with their lack of knowledge or understanding? Why was he subject to detention for that?

I've said it before and I'll say it again ...there needs to be a an independent review website for every single police station in the UK ...like trip advisor or trust pilot...a place where every single citizen can review their experiences with the station both good and bad. Name and shame officers that abuse powers and are acting outside the law

You'd need a massive law team to ensure that the site stays up while it gains traction. The biggest issue is money, hosts that won't bow to pressure and legal protection are expensive.
The functionality of the site is dead simple you just need serious protection.

Sorry, I'm with the lady officers on this. He has zero reason to be there, he's just interrupting them while they doing a basic job. He seems to be doing it to purposely harass and get views!! Sorry it doesn't work like that. If their system is incorrect then the driver would have to prove they have sufficient insurance policy for him to drive that vehicle.

I think its partly that but also, a lot of these officers don't like when people do things that are "out of the norm" for them, they are after all police officers and trained to look for the unusual. What's worse is when they act firstly surprised by even the sheer thought that a civilian would dare question them which then turns secondly into indignant petulance akin to that of toddler which inevitably, left unsoothed, turns to violence. Shameful really.
In America.....especially NewYork...you often see police sitting down and having a coffee and a chat with members of the public.........some hopes of that with our police ,too aloof and drunk with their own importance!!

A living wo/man doesn't need a licence, insurance, mot , on his private transportation unless they are acting in commerce , This is why they call it the road traffic act and not law . A living wo/man can transport themselves from point A to point B by any means possible and unhindered by the enforcement agency who seem to have a dressing up fetish. Learn your rights people and stop complying with their legalise just for a quitter life . Unless they can bring forward a victim then they never have any power over you unless you consent. I don't understand? The police have a extremely difficult job to do, there are nutters out there who are stabbing them for road stops, the job is so difficult, yet all of a sudden society seems to have become the judge and the jury, with a mobile phone, yes sometimes there is intimidation within the police, but these two female officers where not rude, and where very dignified, into someone asking questions, which they had no right to interfere, if the dude was not showing has having insurance it was their right to pull him over, a happy ending though, and the police where spot on.
