I emailed Vincent three times asking him if he wants the information public. He has not responded. If/when he responds if that is what he wants, I will post it. It would not be responsible for us to post a fundraising link on each video. If it's safe for the person to receive a large amount of money and the person wants a fundraising link included, and THEY SET IT UP THEMSELVES SO ALL MONEY GOES DIRECTLY TO THEM then we add a link. But here's the thing - unless a homeless person has a regular income to pay rent they remain homeless. A GoFundMe link will not end a homeless person's houselessness situation. It will make you all feel good, and there is nothing wrong with that. But we need to end homelessness and get people off the streets! There are hundreds of Vincents and Marys and Jims and Pauls where you live all needing help. My suggestion is that if this video motivates you to take action that you go find someplace in your local community that's having an impact in ending homelessness and start helping them. Homelessness is growing. We need to fix the affordable housing crisis. We need to stop racism and racist policies that keep people down. We need to fix foster care and prisons. We need to fix a lot of things! It all started with you!
Lee McDonald Mark is helping by spreading awareness. If he had enough money to take every homeless person he interviews off the street, I’m sure he would. Why aren’t the millionaires and billionaires giving money to end homelessness? If they all got together they could end homelessness tomorrow. The average American is just struggling to survive themselves. Meanwhile the super rich just passed a law that allowed them to pay even less taxes when they should be paying a lot more. The greedy rich in this country are the problem. Have you noticed that the middle class keeps shrinking and falling into poverty?
Jordan Mark said he emailed Vincent 3 times. and got no response. If you pay attention, you can see that this video was obviously shot during the wintertime. He’s wearing a hoodie and gloves. Who knows where he is right now.
Correct me if im wrong, ive only ever seen one fundraiser. For this person, one fundraiser could be all the boost he needs. Homeless will never be fixed because it's supposed to scare people to keep working. You provide a servjce by intervewing these people so we can get a sense of who to trust, but you've only had one fundraiser for others, but many for yourself. I wouldnt have a problem with that if you had more funds go to individuals.
I hired a guy that was homeless, and also addicted. He ended up working for me for a while, he saved up money. His son ended up dying shortly after.. He moved to San Francisco to bury the body.. However, he kept pushing through and ended up working for FedEx driving a truck for decent money. He ended up getting his own apartment and called me back a year later to update me. Hope you’re doing good John.
I was homeless in San Francisco in 2009. And everything he says is true and accurate. My escape was a family member paying all my costs to not be homeless. It cost $7500. That's essentially the only answer: MONEY! Otherwise it's like swimming your way out of a fish bowl every single day. There is no end. And survival is exhausting! If you've never experienced it, you simply cannot imagine it.
Yep, this guy looks put together and you don't envision even going to chiropractic school unless you are from a middle to upper class family...sometimes you just have to ask somebody in your family (or a friend) for help if you are "drowning", like this guy.
Does anyone know where this guy is or know how I can contact him? I went to school with him and want to get him connected back to us so we can figure a way to help him in a sustainable way. I just need some help finding him.
why did he drop out of school when he was so close to graduating ? he could find a chiro. job to get his feet wet again or is there some mental problems ?
An ex wife and her attorney can make you fight them in court and try to make you miss your child’s childhood in its entirety via the court system. I don’t have a single negative strike against me - and with over $50k spent, I still have not seen my son in over 4 years. My ex is in contempt, but nobody cares, and the courts won’t ever hold the mother in contempt.

As much as I agree your idea is logical and great and helpful, it is just unrealistic for homeless people. Take the guy in this video as an example, he got his phone stole four times, he definitely doesn't have a laptop to check his emails, and in another video, the video maker mentioned that this account only has one person running around to interview people and himself had to work other jobs to support his video making. I know it sucks but this is just the reality. The only chance for homeless people is the government.

I've been homeless a few times. Sometimes with a job, and once without. My way to have a 'residence' or 'address' was to save a little cash and get a mailbox at a private shipping/mail center. I use the address of the mail center as my personal address, and my 'apartment number' was the box number. When I had a job, i got a membership at the cheapest nearby gym with showers to stay hygienic and presentable at work. I found out when groceries and hot food were being dumped or given out, and ate that when I couldn't afford much food. I then worked hard to get off the streets... It's not easy, but hope this helps. I'm glad I never lost hope.

Elmo Trex It’s gonna take a revolution. The electoral system is owned by the corporations. We have to go to the streets. Hey, that shouldn’t be too difficult - we are all gonna be homeless soon anyway!
Amen to that. It's quite the shock to the system. My family didn't help me out - thrown out on the streets because of a corporate raider who put thousands out of work. With a child no less. It's easy to become bitter and misanthropic. It's been over 20 years now (I eventually found work) but I'll never forget nor forgive those who could of helped us but choose not to. What have we turned into? Monsters. I'll never change my mind. I'd help this man if I knew how.
I helped someone get off the streets. All the stories this guy says are true as it gets. It's nearly an impossible climb back up. There's alot of bias against a person who wants their life back. Today, she is making six figures and we've been married for 17 years.
And then here comes the tire tax. The average citizens have to pay for the illegal aliens; that's why a lot of us are leaving or (in my case) have already moved out.
In S.F at certain times of day the parking lane curbside opens to traffic. A dozen row trucks line up to clear the lane at up to $900 a whack. Its simple organized crime
In many ways it's much harder for people who were doing well previously, living a more middle class life style and never struggling for things. Kids from that category can find it hard if they all of a sudden can no longer get the things they previously only had to ask for. They can be resentful when they're young, but hopefully his son is old enough to realise his father is going through a bad time and will get himself out of it.

carl taylor I was homeless once. It was terrifying. And it was only for a short period of time. It was circumstantial, I lost family (through death) and the home wasn’t mine. I had a car (Miata) but very small to sleep in...my heart changed, my perspective changed. I had no mental illness, no drugs, nothing. I was in mourning, however. So I got jobs 6-7 that year. Kept breaking down crying so had difficulty keeping the jobs. Always minimum wages and never enough to secure housing. When I finally DID get subsidized housing there was no furniture, no plates, utensils, anything. I had no phone. It was more struggles and I was already older. I’m sure there are other caregivers who take care of loved ones but are then left out in the cold. There but for the grace o& God, go I. The shame, the guilt, the judgements of others that we are bad news. I have a good college education, national sales manager, public speaker, etc..but nothing counts if you’re in the streets. And I’m a white woman...don’t think I’m singular, please. It’s a humanitarian problem, a greed problem (who lives on minimum wage with a 40 hour workweek ? No one. They ALL have more jobs, no life or live with others). Deplorable that the richest country in the world has this large amount of homeless, helpless forgotten group. And the mentally Ill ...soldiers AND civilians who’ve PTSD ...and other horrible lives that need attention ...support mental health with votes. Most (if not all) states spend little on mental health and education. Pathetic values.

Omg, I live like 45 minutes north of him and would gladly give some money to help. My heart breaks for his situation. I volunteer in the Tenderloin. That place is not for the faint of heart...
Oh my god the sadness in his eyes. He probably never imagined his life like this. I know he’s been through and seen a lot living on the streets. This is so depressing
It's one thing coming from a poor background and then finding yourself homeless, but it's much more harder for someone who led a more middle class life, never having to go without and with greater expectations of their future. It must hit them really hard, they're probably more unaware of what services are out there for people in that situation, more reluctant to ask for help, or even know where to go to get it.
There is no need to judge people so quickly. The same man 4 years later could be alcoholic, because whatever happens, life isn't easy with him and then what... you will consider him as a pathetic looser?
@Susan Kelly this guy who makes these videos and says he use to be homeless..well damn...why he doesn't give the homeless people humiliating themselves to do an interview, some money. 20 bucks would have helped him tremendously. Then he asks them if they had 3 wishes..wtf! This guy is a douche.
Gypsy Girl Doing an interview isn’t humiliating imo, this man seems really respectable. And if he’s interviewing multiple people a day there’s only so much he can afford to give in the first place. Either way he usually does give stuff anyway, it just isn’t filmed. Like for example the dude being interviewed brings up socks the interviewer gave him but the interviewer doesn’t video him giving the socks, the only way we even know it happened is because the dude being interviewed happened to bring it up. And having watched other videos on this channel I’ve seen the same thing happen where he doesn’t film him giving stuff but the people bring it up.

My wife is a Chiro in CA and I can tell you this is not uncommon. Our school loans are around $250,000 and the interest is high. The schools tell you if you try and work while attending, you WILL fail, so take the extended loans for housing/food allowance, etc. Some of the other students had loans going upwards of $500,000 (my wife's was lower because I worked the whole time). The worst part, now she's out of school and is NOWHERE near to making enough money to warrant the money we invested in loans. Sadly though, even if you get as far as this guy does, you will have more loans that you will EVER be able to pay back, especially if you don't graduate. The whole post education system needs a revamp, from lending to how these schools charge and operate.
Jonathan Dilin We should be able to take food and shelter for granted. We shouldn’t be grateful for it - we should just be outraged that everyone doesn’t have it. We need outrage. Not gratitude.
Jonathan Dilin Really?! We live in the wealthiest society the world has ever known but half the people live in poverty! Doesn’t that seem outrageous to you? That a handful of billionaires own as much wealth as the lower half of the US population? That we have millions on the streets because speculators have bought up much of the nation’s housing stock so there are lots and lots of vacant houses and apartments while millions sleep under bridges? One percent owns 90 percent of the wealth and you’re not outraged?! Then I think there’s something wrong with you! Fuck gratitude - we all should have a legal right to housing and a minimum annual income sufficient to live on comfortably. We could accomplish this by taxing the billionaires at 100 percent and cutting the military budget by 90 percent and redistribute the wealth among the working people who created it. We need a socialist revolution. Not fucking gratitude!
This man needs to be taken out of that area and given a job. I'm sure he would take any sort of work and could get himself out of all of that if just given a chance. He's at the end of his string there and just needs a hand and a hug!!
@liberty2011able His son and the mother of his child had just moved to Alabama...get a bus ticket to down there. Would be considerably cheaper than the very expensive Bay Area. How did he pay for Chiropractic school (taking out loans, qualifying for grants/scholarships)? Do the same thing in Alabama...I would guess they have Chiropractic schools down there too. That way he could still keep his head up in Alabama going to Chiropractic school and working basic jobs for income. I can see how he wouldn't want to approach his son's mom for assistance, but what about the rest of his family...brothers, sisters, mom or dad for loans or help?
When I feel like my life sucks or I’m lost, I watch stuff like this to remind me that life is short. Life is valuable. And to always be grateful , ALWAYS.
This is kind of sadistic and selfish approach to your problem solving since you need to remind yourself of other people's misery for your own peace of mind.
This is all too real to me and I have been there several times. I was on the streets with my dad several times when I was a kid. Now I'm 30 and have two kids and a wife. I bought a house and a minivan. I bull shited my way into several job over the last 10 years and basically faked it until I made it. I'm so scared of being back on the streets and not knowing where my food is coming from or where I'm going to sleep that I work myself to death everyday to make sure my family is comfortable and never has to live like I did. Seriously, it keeps me up at night sometimes.
Fear of the ex-poor. It’s a real thing. It sounds to me like this man was far less motivated than you are, and it led to his current situation. Pursuing a doctorate in late middle age? He was probably minimally employed, if employed at all, and therefore didn’t have enough savings to get a new apartment, hence homelessness. Never lose that fire.

The Scottish Government have been kinder to their welfare recipients than in England, so its good to hear that your town is unaffected by homelessness. I live in a semi rural village near a small town in North Staffordshire. There were always a few homeless people in our town, but the effects of Universal Credit have seen the numbers drastically increase, and for the first time in my 56 years I saw a homeless man with a trolley walking on the route that is between 2 villages, which just doesn't happen around here, unheard of. The homeless are being herded away from the town at present, so goodness knows what they will do. I'm chronically ill, so I cant help. It really pains me to see such suffering, and also how little governments and society as a whole care.
I visited Interlaken few days ago. What a beautiful country you’ve been blessed to have all of those piece of heaven. I’m from Indonesia and We have homeless almost every corner. I do believe that the rich have obligations to help the less fortunate.
Yes, but if you work, you can get out of bad situations. Everyone is homeless at one level. We all must hustle daily to maintain our lifestyle. When a fish stops swimming, it dies. That is nature. Not up to other fish to push them along. They have to want to swim.
Oh wow my heart goes out to this guy. It’s so hard when you’re down to get back up. It must take all his energy to just keep it together. I agree he has courage, I really hope you get reunited with your child. The world has gotten so harsh, it’s heartbreaking. Best wishes from Ireland 🇮🇪
I feel that! I’m a chiropractor. I was 4 years out of a divorce at 55 and started over. I lived in my office for 3 years. I parked 2 blocks away and walked to my office. The only way out was to accumulate more debt. I worked nights at assisted living homes and had office hours starting at noon. I was gifted out of that situation. One patient that I took care of passed away with cancer and I took care of his elderly widowed wife. They had no children. We became best friends. It’s been 3 years and she’s gradually becoming demented. But she paid off my debt and put my name on her 600,000 estate. I love her. I feed her, hug her, take her places, sleep with her, cut her hair, toe nails, finger nails. I take GOOD care of her. Her husband of 42 years died 3years ago this month. The last few months I built a small office in our house and closed the down town office. Now I’m with her 24 hours. But as I look back I never screwed over anyone. I signed over everything and walked away from my marriage. I have always been aware and grateful that a higher power, GOD has guided and kept me alive. “Thank you GOD”
Ok what the hell. How did you not save anything . Yes you are divorced but did you not keep assets that you could liquidate at a moments notice . Have you learned from your past mistakes. I just cannot comprehend how a working professional doesn’t retain at least 10% of their wages

Since when is the government responsibility to a accommodate. Remember, the government’s money is the citizens money, people who through the years, because of their hard work, contributed so that programs can be funded. Freebies to the lazy is not a federally funded program. Shame!
I totally agree with what Vincent said about car homeless not being homeless at all, especially for the reason he gave of other people not even knowing you're homeless, but also because of the comfort, safety, access to jobs, storage, and other conveniences as well. Your car becomes your oasis or solace. Then when it gets towed, you *really* see how good you had it. I finally was able to buy another car exactly one month ago.
It gets emotional when he talks about his family and you realise this guy had a decent background and essentially tries to get out of the bucket/street whatever it takes. Decent guy, very honest. Hope he back on his feet

Sometimes saying that can sort of ground the person a little. Once you're caught up with your emotions you want to find some way to distract yourself. A voice of another is oftentimes a way to do it. We also tend to ask people if they're alright as a knee-jerk response of compassion.
What an intelligent and humble guy. Have to throw up thinking about what kind of people flood our civilized western countries, who show no sign of gratitude whatsoever, will never contribute to our societies and drain social benefits or even worse, will get criminalized. And like shown in this Video, that’s how we treat our own people. That’s disgraceful. I’m really ashamed for our governments. Wished I could contribute more for some justice and reestablish common sense.

i came to the comments to find this. I understand the interviewer was once homeless as well, but he’s obviously not anymore and it seemed insanely insensitive to argue about the levels of homelessness with someone currently deep in it. and to ask “are you okay?” when the guy was clearly emotional about his kid. Seems like the interview lacks some serious self awareness
I don't think you understand the value of wishing for something better in a situation that's just literally the worst. As many of the interviewees have expressed, it's been so long since they've allowed themselves to wish, dream or even hope for something more than just pulling through the day. We could all do more for people in unfortunate and terrible situations like homelessness, disease or addiction but the fact is that most people and families can't be solely responsible for the betterment and stability of every individual. It's a systemic problem in the US. Extreme cost of living and deadend entry level jobs. 1.100 dollars for a rent controlled apartment when monthly salaries for full-time employment with no benefits whatsoever is half that amount if you're extremely lucky and most likely a fifth of that. It's your city, state and federal government that are the only institutions able to bear this responsibility for every citizen but they don't and can't because of complex bi-partisan structures that block and cull any form of social responsible legislation for the fear of "being too close to socialism", what ever the hell that's supposed to mean. Look to Scandinavian countries and European models that intertwine socialist, capitalist and liberal democratic principles that are easily imitated on a state level. The narcissism and egocentrism of your system is killing your fellow countrymen by the thousands. Unionize, socialize and individualize for the sake of peace and prosperity. It can be democratic if you want it to be.

@@ladytea697 Agree!
James Broffardski When did Mark have a fundraiser for himself?
I hired a guy that was homeless, and also addicted. He ended up working for me for a while, he saved up money. His son ended up dying shortly after.. He moved to San Francisco to bury the body..
I live in a small town in scotland..and we really dont have homless people..so a watch ur program and its so sad ..hope this guy is ok..and keep up the good work
The Scottish Government have been kinder to their welfare recipients than in England, so its good to hear that your town is unaffected by homelessness.
One of the best interviews. This man was so honest and integer. I hope more people understand that everybody can get in this situation.
- But once they understand, then what?!
@@photo161 True.
May he reunite with his son. May the angels bless him with a home, a job and good friends.
Gosh, he can come to my house. I live on a farm in a large beautiful house. I have a lot of respect for him.
Can I live with you?

Thanks for sharing your story! May God bless you all!
The last few months
I built a small office in our house and closed the down town office. Now I’m with her 24 hours. But as I look back I never screwed over anyone. I signed over everything and walked away from my marriage. I have always been aware and grateful that a higher power, GOD has guided and kept me alive.
“Thank you GOD”
Good man, never change that. Because we need people like you in this world especially when times we can't help ourselves 👌 ☝️❤👊.
Lemme borrow some cash to save my sons life
How did you lose everything after divorce ? Shouldn't the asset should equally distribute ?
@@Kangoroo-gp8wo yeah id prefer he actually had enough to pay his fucking rent?
Ok what the hell. How did you not save anything . Yes you are divorced but did you not keep assets that you could liquidate at a moments notice . Have you learned from your past mistakes. I just cannot comprehend how a working professional doesn’t retain at least 10% of their wages
Interviewer had little emotional awareness in this interview.
Good video regardless but the man clearly misses his son. It wasn’t the interview or question.
Did a better interview than you......oh wait!!
I was virtually screaming at the screen "IT'S THE THOUGHT OF NOT SEEING HIS SON!!"
Dumb people watching so it's all kay
we know u are a specialist behind a computer ....right ? u would do so better at it except u dont have the guts , balls & heart . thats it .
Bluehopi Bridge Bruh he isn’t the first one to bring this up, it’s so obvious why he’s having trouble answering the question. It’s not like the interviewers a bad dude for it or anything like that but he definitely could’ve treaded a little lighter.
I hope the interviewer gave him the ten dollars he needed to get the bike!
Ditto, I said the same thing.
Thank you Vincent for sharing your story and I'm praying for you to find a good job and to get back on your feet again. Your story really touched my heart that I felt led to pray for you and may God keep you safe and sound. Hugs 🙏
I hate the "Three Wishes" question. I know y'all all love Marc and he's a good guy, but that question sucks.
I agree. Stupid question
That’s the point
the tears in his eyes when he started talking about it breaks my heart. i cant imagine how other people are doing. its horrible.
I wish we could give him a bus ticket somewhere more affordable. Hope he gets back on his feet. Hearing about his son, I just wish we could all help and hug him. As a parent, that was always my biggest fear. I would love an update on him whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Literally where can I send him some money . I will, he was so sweet and independent and just needs a little help.
I have emailed him three times asking him if he wants the information public. He has not responded.
He doesn’t have a phone either. Hard to get email
I just read in comments that $6,000 gofundme was raised by colleagues after this video got out.
@Rachel Jacobs What? He took this guy's money?
It sickens me that the goverment has plenty of money for war but basic accomadation they havnt got money for to help people.
What war are we in? If Hillary was elected then yes we'd be at war with Syria.
New votes are all that matters
Since when is the government responsibility to a accommodate. Remember, the government’s money is the citizens money, people who through the years, because of their hard work, contributed so that programs can be funded. Freebies to the lazy is not a federally funded program. Shame!
@@alcamerc9970 How do you know they were lazy do you know there circumstanes do you know them individualy.
The US spends 2 billion every day on military.
And for what?
Humans make no sense.
If it wasn't for a friend taking me in here, and a friend in Germany supporting me financially and emotionally ... I'd be homeless too
My love goes out to all the people living in the streets for no good reason 😢❤
The guy asks "Are you ok?" Dah after hearing his story, you can't tell????
Sometimes saying that can sort of ground the person a little. Once you're caught up with your emotions you want to find some way to distract yourself. A voice of another is oftentimes a way to do it. We also tend to ask people if they're alright as a knee-jerk response of compassion.
Y-O you couldn’t have explained it any better 👏
What an intelligent and humble guy. Have to throw up thinking about what kind of people flood our civilized western countries, who show no sign of gratitude whatsoever, will never contribute to our societies and drain social benefits or even worse, will get criminalized. And like shown in this Video, that’s how we treat our own people. That’s disgraceful. I’m really ashamed for our governments. Wished I could contribute more for some justice and reestablish common sense.
Rupert Migtau let me guess, youve never mixed and been close with those kinds of people your talking about, most migrants from developing or war torn countries are just as decent as anyone else if not more so since they have better family values, etc
Hassan Droubi If so, then stay in your home country and help developing it, instead of cowardly fleeing abroad and draining our systems. If you couldn’t make it in your home, what makes you think you can make it somewhere else. Or go to UAE, Saudi Arabia, they practice your dump Sharia, at least.
I'm surprised people want to come here when America is filled with assholes like you, migtow.
So Heartbreaking...My prayers are with him!!
When he mentioned to see his son, oh that was deep. I pray he can come out of this.
He mentioned he has a Paypal account. What is it?
Yeah, did someone find his PayPal?
Seriously. What's his Paypal?
Yeah what’s the pay pal account ???
I doubt they’ll give his PayPal account because they want you donating to THEM, not the individual homeless person. If they really cared though and saw each person as individuals rather than a collective of homeless people who help make a popular UA-cam channel, they’d give out the personal one. We’ll see.

When he said he didn't see his son if anyone out their has a kid they haven't seen in years
I felt every second of this man's pain
Me too! Divorce makes things VERY difficult.

Thank You for letting people know about homelessness.
BTW, I hope that your mother is doing better. Much Love and praise from Atlanta!
Hang on brother... you’re almost there. I truly feel for this man. Your on the up and up
My heart broke when he couldn’t talk once he mentioned his son.... man doesn’t deserve the life he’s living
Mine too...
As a dad to a 6 yr old son I completely understand
Did it really break my man? Will you donate $1,000 to him? If not, go away and stop trying to act dramatic and fake..
Any update on Vincent now...three years later?
I would love to hear
FFS dont argue over the degrees of homelessness with a homeless person. That seemed unnecessarily cruel.
i came to the comments to find this.

Hey America, how about using a little bit of that military budget for these everyday folks?
You can tell this to every Western country. If they don't have war they wold invest most of their spare money on gender initiatives for women, the most privileged group of people on the face of this Earth.
Hey, lets stop helping illegals till we get our citizens off the street.
Huge military might is the only way to protect fake fiat currency called the dollar.
Or from another budget "From American people with love " connect with military operations and " non profit" organization
How about people save money, so that if they’re evicted, they can get a new place, rather than being homeless?

Seriously, he's bleeding out and he stopped to interview him. Give him more than a pair old knee high socks
priceandpride You don’t know what was done after the video was shot. I felt the same way at first too, but after reading many of the interviewer’s comments, it’s hard to believe they just shrugged their shoulders and walked away. Remember, there are other people shooting with him, and they’re hearts were breaking along with ours.

This man is a good guy. The eyes and vocabulary tell so much about a human being & even more so the Emotions. This man is highly employable & can be trusted. He just needs a chance & he's telling the camera man to "take care". What a guy.
Also this is one of the most realist channels on UA-cam.
