I remember watching this Movie 🍿🎥 as a kid back in the Spring of 1973. Very Good Movie 🍿🎥. Hard to Believe this was 50 Years Ago.
R,I.P. Robert Culp. Memorable performance by a great actor. Thanks for uploading this film.
One of my favorite made for TV movies. I was 10 and I always wanted to see it again. Felt horrible over the dog. There used to be alot of excellent TV movies in the 70's. I just dont know why they stopped making them. One had gargoyles returning from the middle ages taking over a western town. Another had a woman giving birth (ala Rosemary's Baby) to a demon child who controlled her mother. Just alot of good stories with good actors and (yes) cool music too :) RIP Robert Culp!
No complaint was ever filed against Jim Kiler
There has been no further violence in Oak Meadows.
And afterwards, when people took their pets to Jim Kiler, you can be damn sure they paid their vet bills without argument.
Thanks for posting this. I haven't seen it since it first came out on "Movie of the Week", when TV was worth watching.
I hadn't seen this movie since I was a kid in the early 70's. Thanks for putting it on UA-cam.
I watched this Made-for-TV film when it was originally broadcast in 1973, and it was, and still is, an extremely powerful movie...Until now, I hadn't seen it in almost 35 years, but it's always been in the back of my thoughts throughout my lifetime, and no other television film had ever done that...Robert Culp's performance is understated until the final 10 minutes; then you sit up to the edge of your chair, pump your fist and think, it's about time...Ohhh, Chandler!
one of my favorite movie moments of all time. "THIS IS JIM KILER"
Wow, I have not seen this since 1973 when I was in high school, but I have remembered it all these years! I, too, lament the loss of the Nomad, although you can tell by the dents and dings on the car in that final scene that it is not THE Nomad. That car was featured in Popular Hot Rodding about a year after the movie was made and it was one awesome ride! Thanks so much for sharing this lost classic!
Gotta love the way Vance looks out the window while Kiler is smashing up his car..."meh, I'll get him tomorrow, gonna go do some bong hits and drink a beer"
This is Jim Killer. Hey Chandler !! Oh Chandler !! Ohhh CHANDLER !!!!!
classic
You know Culps on the job when the 70s music starts to play. lol
Oh Chandler! Hey Chandler! Shouldn't have fucked with the I Spy guy!
Both me and my pal watched this when it was first broadcast. We still laugh about it. Chandler!
It's so nice to see adults work through their conflicts!
thank you for posting this great movie. besides clicking the next link since part one, no interruptions or ads whatsoever. :)
GET BACK FROM THE WINDOWS!
I remembered that part and the hose thru the window. Great stuff!
But I remember a final shot of the Chandler family moving out the next morning seen from the viewpoint of Bob Culp's house.
The great Robert Culp in action!!!
Can't tell you how many times I've wanted to do that while stuck in traffic on the LA Freeways. Cathartic.
The law is still not on the victims side in situations like this even after all these years. Its disgusting how much bad behavior a person can truly get away with against another person with zero repercussions.
Hey Chandler !!! Ho Chandler !! Oh... Chandler !
The crazy sherrif was in "The Day The Earth Moved". I have it on vhs.... I have alot of old tv movies on vhs including Outrage.
Am having problens with some neighborhood kids and thought of this movie. It's hard to stand up for what's right when you're outnumbered and have much to lose. Your initial thoughts may be to move away, but eventually you have to stop running and make a stand. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks for posting this bro. I loved the ABC movies of the week when I was kid. I remember watching this one. It and Bad Ronald were my faves. What was the one where the crazy sheriff uses a speed trap to get prisoners to work on his Santaland amusement park in the desert? That one was pretty weird. Savages with Andy Griffith was another good one. Freaky seeing him as a bad guy.
Saw this when it first came out. Those cars, MAN, ended up getting a Camaro just like that.
Funky Music !!!! Great to see Culp kicking butt !!!
I loved this TV movie when I was a kid. Robert Culp kicks ass! Now it seems so lame. Where are the police? "Oh, Chandler!"
This one, along with "The California Kid" and the two "Night Stalkers" are arguably
the best of the "TV Movies". If you can think of other ..please list
Sad part about it is this guy probably got into more trouble than any of these thugs.
Great movie. Saw it when it was movie of the week years ago. Been looking for it for a long time.Thanks. Btw..another great movie of the week is"The California Kid" with Martin Sheen & Vic Morrow.
All those who would have done the same thing as he did Say YEAH Jim Kiler.....
Good one Thanks
Taking his time, calling Chandler to the window the way he does, it's difficult to believe he'd completely get away with this. The kids atleast were smart enough to do their dirtiest work when nobody was looking. As satisfying as it is to watch Kiler take his revenge (and it is) I just have to wonder if this account comes evenly remotely close to how things went down in the real case.
@GJNCA I thought this was based on a true life story and as it says at the end no complaint was filed so I don't understand your comment. This was in the 70's and it was a different world, things were way different.
Thanks for the info!
this dude had finally had enough
Thanks, Instant.
I love the internet I love technology that shouldn't let me go back to my childhood watch stuff like this... I have been a 56 Nomad Gasser fan ever since... I think now I'll look up that kiss made-for-tv movie I think it was Phantom of the Opera something like that... I remember being good for a week just so I could stay up and watch the kiss movie... lol
@nickellicker Very well said mate. Such a powerful film and Robert Cult turns in a fantastic performance here. I'm also just watching it for the first time in almost 30 years. Glad I rediscovered this gem.:-)
Wow, he gets suited up just like he was a decade before as Trent, then kicks ass!
The arson was his only real mistake. That is a felony... All the other would have been written off as mere vandalism.... I did love the garden hose in the bay window... Remembered that part for almost 40 years!!
I like Jim Kylers way of dealing with the creeps much better than Muriel's way. Jim's methods produced results.
...and Mrs. Kiler rocked Jim Kiler's world in bed that night.
Aw man, not the Nomad, have some fucking heart.
Revenge Time!!! Now the good doctor will play Charly Bronson! Cheese 70’s TV movie of the week!
Oh, Chander!
Get 'em, Jim!
Oh, Chandler!! That's what you get for fucking with the 'I Spy' guy!
i think the "outrage " is the destruction of the nomad. I haven't seen this movie for 30 yrs??/or so, in my memory it was a 57 , im surprised to see the car is a 56.
"Now we do it my way.."
@jbjindra The music really was good!
classic movie
Look...after having gone through everything he did, I'm sure Kiler went on his rampage fully prepared to face whatever legal consequences there would be, figuring it would be worth it. He was failed by the police & legal system, failed being able to "reason" with the creeps or their parents, etc. Glass shards in the eyes of his housekeeper was the last straw, and he finally snapped. Most people would've done it alot sooner.
I'm willing to bet money that if this movie were remade for today's audiences, here's my pick to play Jim Kiler: Hugh Jackman! Also, I'm sure that everyone in the theater would cheer if they showed Kiler beating the living s--t out of the rich hoods that were terrorizing his family! One last thing: Imagine how much worse Tony Soprano would be if this was happening to HIS family?
The nomad was a show car called the excorcist was it not?
Hey Chandler!!!
@miamimann1 all people like that understand is a person going off on their ass.
Those kid's brought out the beast in jim kiler, they were lucky he didn;t burn down their home's........
@GJNCA That's the point because the authorities didn't do their job he did, the last straw was the housekeeper being hurt. How much can anyone family go through and how many have to be hurt before you did something? I do not like the idea of vigilantism and wish he would have had another choice but I don't see that he did. We do not live in a perfect world I would have chose your out come as well but then our world is not perfect..Peace:)
that was a sweet 56.......shame
