Crazy fan theory: Jughead is not dead. Betty staged his death so that he can operate under Stonewall Prep's radar and expose the truth. After, death is considered an illusion some parts of the world.

@@levicarmody5713 Simply because those characters didn't really get the afection of the audience, so everyone could ignore their existence. Jughead's one of the main characters, and he is a good developed character. That makes him unkilable, so does Archie, Veronica and Betty.
angel georev cole sprouse also signed a 6 year contract so he can’t be dead or he might only be in flashbacks. But I find that hard to believe so I’m pretty certain he ain’t dead

Donna says a word to Betty which is supposed to get her to kill her loved one. But what if Betty act like it worked? And made Donna believe that it worked? When she found Jughead, he told her about his plan and carried it out. It should look like Betty really killed Jughead. In reality, Jughead or Betty deliberately injured his head with the stone then he lay down on the floor, and made it look like Betty was guilty. Veronica and Archie don't know about anything..

Dude they literally retrieved Jug's dead body at the end of episode 14 which came out yesterday. His skin is festered and everything and I just can't get over the fact that Juggie is actually *dead* (well he might not be but then Riverdale is based on reality so that's too far fetched)

I am pretty sure Jughead is not dead. He is still the narravite voice at the beginning of this episode. I think we are just into his Baxter Brothers tale... I mean, Jughead professor told him they wanted a story tailored on his personal experience and he could not write about the black hood, so he is writing a story based on his experience at the Stonewall Prep mixing it with Betty's past events at the Farm.... However, I can't explain the "mistery" of Charles's connection with Chick and what Mrs Blossom's role is in this series...

Here's an even crazier theory. What if Jughead had to fake his own death from his friends and family as a part of some initiation with Stonewall prep and instead of pulling the proverbial wool over stonewall's eyes he is actually pulling it over his own friends and family.

Well i think this proves thar the writers have no idea what they are going to do with the show. Originally in the flash forward in season 3 (in the finale) cole was meant to be in it but he didnt want to do it. So this proves that the writers are just making it up as they go along

Ok, i'm going to be honest with you. This season makes my head turn 360 around and call it for the devil. First of all, why lie about someone's death, especially to their parents? And you come here to say, 'oh but it's all part of the plan', honestly. I don't think 'it's part of the plan'. I do think that killing Jughead - one of the most notorious characters - the audience of this season it's going to blow up, 'cause everyone's will be looking for Jughead, if he's alive, but it will turn down that he's dead. After all, Archie confirmed it in the woods. This fucking season makes me so PISSED OFF about Archie. Jughead, according to the last seasons, was Archie's best friend and best company, and you can't tell me shit about how Archie ''knows the plan''. He doesn't know anything, and he's pretty much acting normal, for someone's whose friends got killed potentially by Betty, that is staring at him like nothing happened. I hate everyone on this season, on this show and the writers, OH MY GOD THE WRITERS. I'm out of words, but i'm really pissed off. It's not worse that S2 or 3, but still. Not good as it used to be.
I don’t know if any of you guys have noticed but these sneak peeks don’t look like “cringy Riverdale” (I mean besides the whack idea that 17 year olds are murderers but that’s classic Riverdale) I bet it isn’t that cringy because the writers have been writing this side of the plot since season 3 whereas the start of the season was just like “let’s set up the good part but we have no idea how to do that 🥴”

Here's what im thinking. Im pretty sure Betty and Jughead faked his death so that Jughead can investigate Stonwall Prep secretly. She calls Charles cause he's the only one she trust and tells him that theyre faking his death. So now Charles knows and finds a place to house Jughead while he investigates. Im thinking they take down Stonewall Prep pretty quickly and Betty eventually comes out telling everyone that Jugheads death was faked. However he never returns. Why? Because of Chic and Charles. I think they are going to be the new villians of the show after Stonewall Prep.
