In response to this sarcastic video, I'd like to clarify a couple of things. Ubuntu Touch can only be installed on a handful of smartphones because, with a few exceptions, manufacturers lock down their hardware and refuse to release the information needed to port Linux to them. Despite the difficulties encountered, a group of developers, most of them volunteers, are managing to provide an alternative for those who don't want to follow the herd. Installation (after unlocking the phone blocked by the manufacturer) is very simple. The result is a perfectly functional phone (including calls) (I've been using it daily for over a year), with a range of applications that meet all my needs. And if VOLTE isn't supported, the fault lies with operators who don't respect standards and make it difficult to implement. Of course, I'd like things to be simpler and there to be more choice, but in the current context, I'll never go back (i.e. to mainstream OS). Regards.
It's nonsense. Every time I try to do that, every my phone and tablet is doesn't supported. Treble table also doesn't boot GSI image of UBPorts. It's crap.

Ubuntu is not ready yet... If this OS compared with the first android, android still win...
I have a phone that came out when Ubuntu was on phones 2014. It’s a BQ Aquaris E4.5. It worked great

Because not to brick your phone. I think you must flash the phone and clean it of Stinky Android OS. Then the kernel is set to install a new os.
Even if you are able to flash it and boot successfully VoLTE won't work in Samsung if the stock ROM isn't there.
