I couldn't help myself. I have not been this impressed with a band since the Beatles! I am 61 years old and I can't stop listening to this beautiful music and the wonderful people that make up this band. I had to buy this CD and can't wait for the next one!! I love watching the videos on You tube too.

I've been coming back to these live videos of OMAM quite regularly for around 5 years now, they're like a safe place for my head and they never fail me. It is rare to find songs you can come back to anytime without getting dizzy from the awkward nostalgic feelings. 5 years !!! Hope I read this comment in five years and still feel the same. Little Talks is still my second-favorite song on the album (after this one). For a long time it was the only one that got radio play, at least in the US, so of course it's the one more people heard.
I had the pleasure of travelling to Iceland in 2012. My very first impression was stepping off the plane and the quality of air being the most pure air I’ve ever breathed. My second impression was of course, the beauty of the place, and my third was the kindness and richness of the people and culture there. And I’m Canadian. So that carries weight.
It’s heaven on earth. And that’s probably why this band is as amazing as they are.

I saw an interview where they were asked if they'd ever do vocals in Icelandic. Raggi's response was, ''Well can you speak Icelandic?'' I wish I was the one giving the interview cause I would be like, ''Já, ég get talað íslensku. Nú syngja það''

I never said Little Talks was their best song, I feel Mountain Sound is, but it's an opinion. The point I was trying to make is that most people don't listen to the band, just that one song played on the radio and don't care for any other song.

I'm from Germany, but from my mother's side I have Swedish ancestors. Probably because of the Thirty Years' war. I was born with a combination of my dad's surname and my mother's surname "Lundström". It's very sad that after a political reform I lost my Swedish name. Now my mother is learning Swedish and I will maybe do the same. At least some basics.

I'm with you. I don't think you can really understand a culture until you understand it's language. That being said, no, I'm not from Ísland per se, and I'm still learning the language. I was born in the States, but my mother's side of the family immigrated from Ísland after WWI. My grandmother is the only one left in my family that can still speak it fluently, but I'm working on changing that.
They just finished dinner at Grandma's house and busted out their instruments. Love this.
