I miss my 66 F100 V8 352 and 4 speed transmission. Drove it in High School in 1978 and continued tell1988. My Dads 68 F100 became available, so I restored it. It had 360 V8 and C6 A/T. I sold the 66 to pay for the restoral of the 68. I still have the 68 but now a 390 block and runs strong. I miss the 66 because it was just a cool reliable truck0. I see this photo of it on my shelf standing next to it, and start remembering it. Also, me standing next to it looking young and everything working. The truck and my body. My 68 is stronger than me. Love these trucks
He doesn't hall manure in it...but he does drive it around..lol..I'm not sure if he took picks of it through out the build...but I will check with him next time I see him...thanks for cking it out!
I had a '66 Ford F100 custom as well. -It had a 240 six cylinder, and every panel was painted in a different color, in only the FINEST latex house paint! It was a fixture at the employee lot at Orlando International Airport.
I recently fully inherited my great grandpas 65 f100. All original with 3 on the tree and all that. Im not really sure what to do with it. I actually drove it to high school for a year in 2003 and have enjoyed driving it off and on my whole life. It is a death trap though, with the drum brakes, weight, no real seat belts, and no air bags. Should I just sell it as is or is it worth spending all the money to make it awesome looking and saf"er" to drive(disc brakes, power steering)? I could be convinced either way. I also don't have any mechanics background so I would have to pay for most of the labor. Everything is original with minimal rust .
