That was outstanding!! I just got my first HS on my 65th birthday after trying for 2+ years. This gave me a whole new perspective about what I should be striving for. Not being perfectly balance but being capable of recognizing the out-of-balance trend and applying the correction.
in all of videos that i have watchedd this is so far the most explained and detailed when it comes to how to learn the balance of handstand this man deserves my sub and like I'm looking forward to this man
been watching your content for a few days (not straight). This is sneaky brilliant stuff, subtle yeah but you're saying some things that you don't see elsewhere. Just wanted to say bravo, keep it up
Great content, you definitely deserve many more subs. Very informative and clear with no usual BS. I'm stuck in the realm of 5-10 seconds and so far my biggest problem is to learn to use shoulders for under balance. In fairness I'm super tall for calisthenics 6'4" and it's hard but I won't give up. I've seen many hs videos so far but the fact I've learn some new things today is probably the biggest compliment I could give you. Thanks and keep sharing your experience with us 😇
this is great, I am a new handstand nerd:) I have liked and subscribed because as below, this is a no BS channel which I like. Many thanks for your time and attention to the detail, very much appreciated.
I can feel myself falling but don’t know how to stop it…like do I tighten my shoulders, pull with my abs etc. I’m sure practice makes all the difference
Please could you explain drills or you might have posted in the past; on how to push through palms to deal with under balanced position. Thank you, love the content 💪👌
I have tried but maybe could you include how to fix your self? when i over balance i can use my fingers to pull myself straight, but when i under balance by palms can pull me straight
Straight Arm Scapula strength is the key in terms of the balance (so all the muscles that surround the shoulder blades, Traps etc). Then its the connection between the upper and lower body or the making the body one segment, some people would call this the core but I'm not a fan of using the terminology. Id rather say the connection from the hands to the feet.
@@PaulTwyman Double Thanks! For the importantant information and for position to the "core" terminology. It gets me really on the nerves. I hate this simplification of complicated things and drilling to commercial labels.
Thank you for the unique information. I have a question. I am 31, 5.7, 72kg. I'v been learning handstand for more than 3 months. And I still have balance issue. In my routine, I'm training 7 days a week. Pushday, pullday, core day, legs day, l-sit, handstand day and lastly mobility day. And I also do handstand attempts through out the week. My question is, am I spending a lot on other exercises and less on handstand? Should I focus first on handstand alone then do other skill and training? You input will be very helpful. Thank you.
Yes you should train like 5 to 6 day a week of handstand cause you won't learn balance it if you train 1 or 2 day cause your body doesn't make adoptions to balance if spend less time balancing
@@exo01938 Thank you. Yes, I followed the same routine and trained for an entire week. Now, my kick-ups and balance are improving. I've also added press-to-handstand routines, which are going really well.
My circle for balance is less then average 30 seconds but more then 5 sec for beginners. I am trying a toe balance knee position using bosu, good or no for one hand holds?
Let's thank the dog for his contribution

So good to hear!! Congratulations
Dont lie:/!!!
That’s right, blame Rosie for only being able to do one minute on the bar!🤣
Yeah she practically knocked me off 🤷♂️

My female lab is also rosie

Thank you! Yeah being tall can make things interesting. Let me know how you go
Thanks for sharing. I would say the muscle strength is the fundamental of all the adjustment.
Yes
Absolute gold, thanks man 👍

Incredible video. I can somewhat manage a 15-20 second hold but I struggle with my balance window. Time to go back to the wall :)

This was extremely helpful, thank you 😊
Thats great to hear
That dog has a lot of faith in you to not fall o him 😅
so its more about holding there and observing what is happening and learing to balance
Great video, thank you!!
Very useful, thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks. I am confident in walking a long time. But you demonstrated this awesome. Practice time now 😊
Have fun!
Your tutorials are superb. I’m really hoping your techniques will help me with my handstand holds.
Thank you! Lots of practice and you will definitely start holding longer 🙃
Really Informative..... Thanks a Lot.
Glad you found it useful

Yeah do the reps of Heel Pulls and Toe Pulls. After while the balance will start to make sense
Thank you
You're welcome
this is a really good video
Thank you!
Nyc video sir
Sir how much time would take me to do hand stand clap pushup i can pull off hand stand for 10 sec
i find it hard to keep my back straight while handstanding can that be the reason why ite harder for me to balance myself
Please could you explain drills or you might have posted in the past; on how to push through palms to deal with under balanced position. Thank you, love the content 💪👌
This one covers the underbalance in detail ua-cam.com/video/dL_27dZWHEU/v-deo.htmlsi=4kKljajYGotgQDaL
@@PaulTwyman perfect! Thank you very much 💪☺️
Pls more videos on this topic especially for us who can hold it 20-30sec? Also is it better to press or kick if ur looking to balance on ur hands?
I’d practice all entries and than pick and choose as needed for the session or routine
How much time would you recommend to stay in chest against the wall to make the freehandstand stronger ?
60-90 seconds every session
Right
I have tried but maybe could you include how to fix your self? when i over balance i can use my fingers to pull myself straight, but when i under balance by palms can pull me straight
This explains everything you need ua-cam.com/video/ID2X2dMUJVw/v-deo.htmlsi=qgn2dQmHwrSALJAF

At bed?
Which muscles play
-crucial,
- principal,
- important,
- secondary
role in keeping a balance?
Thanks!

Awesome channel! Curious if you’ve tried handstands on a balance board. If anyone could do it it would be you.
Yeah I can balance on a plank of wood over a foam roller (and a skate board). In some ways it’s easier as you have more options to balance
Thank you for the unique information.

@@footyfocus07 great keep it up and upload vedio when you learn press to handstand
The problem is not only holding a hs (coz i can do it quite well in banana) but how to be straight..and that's when i immediately fall 😅
Time freestanding and wall drills, lots of reps it will come

Not 100% sure what you mean for the One Arm Drill but no I would not recommend using a Bosu for your main training sets.
The overbalanced is quite hard for me 😅
try this newer version explaining Handstand balance ua-cam.com/video/wBpK02ltgrA/v-deo.htmlsi=jGSQZiOkgtQhwET6
what happens if you overbalance in a straight bar handstand?
Wrist ext will work the same as in the floor but you will gripping the bar at the same time. Arching the body and bending arms can help as well
What about if u feel that u don't have enough strength to stay on ur hands long enough only about 20 sec 🤔🤔
Longer conditioning holds chest to wall
