There's a dish in Malaysia: claypot rice. The rice is cooked in a small clay pot with the meat/chicken/fish and we would have rice crust on the bottom which is like a nice surprise after the meal 😂 seeing the nurung-ji reminded me of the dish 😋
@@twiceonce7078 I quite like it. The gravy on top is a bit thick but I think it's to maintain the moisture of the rice so you have to stir it evenly. & It's even better if you eat it with salted fish 😋

In Spain we have a very similar thing to the "burnt" rice thing. In one of our most known dishes, paella, if you cook it properly, all the oils and juices from the different ingredients go to the bottom of the pan, caramelizing and covering the rice grains there. This part of the paella is called "socarrat" and it's soooo good people fight over it!
