Hi there.... I see you also use Kenwood. I am experiencing issues with static noise s3 on my vertical. I guess i must change antenna.... But i have limited space on the roof ...

Is the noise static or man made local noise? If its the former you could install a Static Bleed Resistor. Look it up if your not familiar.
