I didn't know it was Nate singing, but I remember drawing and listening to it every day after school along with a bunch of other classic fnaf songs. Sorry to hear that you faced many hardships in your life, but glad that a song like this can help you. Despite the heavy emotional quality it talks about, there is an uplifting effect to it. That the pain we face, big or small, same or different, we really aren’t alone. It’s such a great song!

i'm not a FNaF fan, but i remember being in all the hype around every game that came out, hearing any song that was inspired by this indie game, and i gotta say they all are amazing, but this one just hits different. the lyrics and general vibe of it inmerses you into the lore, especifically into the whole trapped-children-souls plot. meanwhile the lyrics tell you about a desperate cry for help and melancholic hope for freedom, the instrumental let's you feel the impotence, stress and despair the children went through; or this is just the way i see it though. truly my favorite song.
Wow, basically 4 years have passed since this amazing song was uploaded. I swear I keep coming back to this again and again and every time I cry for completely different reasons. This song is so damn deep and, in my opinion, one of the best songs Nathan has ever produced. Can't wait for year 5!
Dude... The nostalgia hits different. Nate always knows the perfect words for each and every one of these songs, I'll be here till the end, fnaf never dies
Today is a fateful day. Thank you for everything Scott. This game meant a lot to me. Helped me bond with my first real friend. Taught me to see both sides of a story. And that the show must go on. Thank you Scott. It's been a hell of ride. Best of luck
This was my go to song during my deep depression and sadness, even to this day shits a struggle. But this song is still a comfort for it in a sense, hard to believe it's been 6 years sense this dropped. ♡
it can also be used in a manner that describes the crippling nightmares, and reoccurring memories of PTSD, "get me out of this mess" could be referring to the nightmares and the mess that the traumatic event caused, "get me away from the stress" could hint at the fact they can't deal with the stress in a healthy way, and "set me free so I can rest" can be a scream for help and them wanting to be free from the inner torment of their nightmares and struggles with PTSD.
Four years later and I still know every word. Seriously this song makes me cry so much. Despite it being just a fnaf song, it is a very big part of my life and very important to me.

the nice thing about this song is all the FNAF references all soft enough that even if you know FNAF it doesn't distract from the song, and instead greatly contributes
The words to describe this song for me are hauntingly relatable, as the children feel trapped and alone inside the animatronics. That’s a feeling many feel at times, including myself
When I hear this song it makes me think of how I wait to show my skill to the world. I just sleep and dream of when i'll be set free. When i'll get out of this mess and away from the stress. I can't make amazing music so I listen to it every day to not get stressed.
M -Hae that is so true for me. I want to show people that I have a voice that wants to be heard, but my parents think I should be a doctor or a teacher. On top of that I had been dealing with a horrible depression at the time. I’ve decided to wait until I’m a teenager so my parents can see how determined I am to show my voice. I owe everything getting g fixed to fnaf. It helped me with depression and inspired me to want to sing. Kudos to you Scott, my kning
Six years ago this was released. I believe this was my favorite song when I was in the fnaf fandom but I will say this is actually a decent composition. You can feel the pain and emotions of the main character for their distress and cry for help. This kinda makes think this song was for the aftermath of all the events going down. I am glad to say I was once a fan of this game.
well it does have an album. it's part of an album called Mangled (which you can buy on iTunes and Google Play) that includes songs about FNaF, Pokémon, Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, and Parasyte
Been waiting for you to upload this song since hearing it in the Mangled album! Can't wait 'til the next song from the album to be released :) It's my favorite!
6 years ago i really felt this song. I'm so tired in life, and i just kept on sleeping all the time dreaming that someone would wake me from this nightmare. I always cry to that part where he says I can't take the pain no more. So yeah that someone came and changed my life. I hope everyone will find their saviour one day.
I was really awakened from my own nightmare. I kept on sleeping. Just sleep. Because that was the most peace i have everyday. Now im glad im awake and i just cant w8 to wake up everyday to see the gift of life this person gave me.

I still think this is by far the best Five Nights at Freddy's song I've ever heard.
Noted
I remember first hearing this song, I was about 10 years old. I didn't know it was Nate singing, but I remember drawing and listening to it every day after school along with a bunch of other classic fnaf songs. My so-called friends claimed the games were too scary for me, but when I checked them out, I fell in love with the story. Here I am now, still listening to this beautiful song. Nate will never fade.
I hate the new theorys about fnaf, they're ruining the fucking game

This song sounds like it could go to the end credits of the FNaF movie.
Yes! I just thought of that. That would fit so well.
Kail let’s hope they find this amazing talent
hopefully they can let nate sing his famous fnaf song for the end credits,or atleast some famous youtube singers like DAgames,CG5,and others

Wow, basically 4 years have passed since this amazing song was uploaded.

This will forever be my fav song of Nate’s. I remember listening to this for the first time when it came out, I was 12 then, I’m 22 now.
I was 10 and this song explained everything for me and made me look at the animatronics differently.
"Get me out of this mess, and away from the stress. SET ME FREE SO I CAN REST" that line pretty much sums up a kid who hates school. (Aka
me)
Dats sad :'(
it can also be used in a manner that describes the crippling nightmares, and reoccurring memories of PTSD, "get me out of this mess" could be referring to the nightmares and the mess that the traumatic event caused, "get me away from the stress" could hint at the fact they can't deal with the stress in a healthy way, and "set me free so I can rest" can be a scream for help and them wanting to be free from the inner torment of their nightmares and struggles with PTSD.
Yea, I'm ALWAYS tired and stressed at school. I wanna get out too :_(
More like high school😔
Oooooof
Four years later and I still know every word. Seriously this song makes me cry so much. Despite it being just a fnaf song, it is a very big part of my life and very important to me.

Give Heart Records - Nathan Sharp Nathan I love you this is amazing great work
Give Heart Records - Nathan Sharp I'm a big fan of your work and it got me through some dark days especially ur fnaf and anime songs.
Give Heart Records - Nathan Sharp oh yoy
the nice thing about this song is all the FNAF references all soft enough that even if you know FNAF it doesn't distract from the song, and instead greatly contributes
I have listen to this song like five times in a row and I can't stop crying.
My parents keep asking me what is wrong but all I can seem to say is I'm tired. Not what I'm tired of.
