Planned obsolescence is a keen observation for our times. We have lost the art of homemaking, the heart of the family. I love to knit myself and have always had a strong admiration for the seamstresses- a beautiful talent and skill to possess. I imagine you love a nice fabric shop full of the colors, designs and touch of the cloth. my grammy was good with herbs and often cured what ailed us. She had a concoction for everything- from the garden, fields or the kitchen. you are more tapped in than you may know with your line of thinking. There is a medical condition impacting thirty and forty year olds now- digital dementia from the outsourcing of tasks to computers that we once solved with our own brains and hands. use it or lose it I love these videos. Never too old to learn cool stuff that enriches our lives. keep up the great work .. thank you very much.
Wow Joa's words floor me sometimes. I love knitted sweaters with wool and beautiful yarns and have always admired my sister in law who knits socks for gifts. She quilts too now that is another amazement isn't it tho?? Your gramm's must have been somethin to love and has an imprint on you that still shines .... I'm so glad to know that you knit. It always seemed beyond me but I do crochet and momma taught me that she crocheted such beautiful things and just to see her sitting there crocheting gave me wonders of a secure feeling. Yu are so right the lost art of homemaking the heart of the family. Becoming a heartless society that suffers from what you just said digital dementia .... so well expressed the truth and we know and see it happening....Use it or Lose it! Thanks for being Joa so amazing for us who have connected with you💛💙see you on the beach soon👣👣
Exactly Melody!! Appliances back in the 50s,60s, and 70s.. were so much better built and solid!! I cant stand our throw away society!! Much Love to you Sweet lady! 🫶🏼🫂😘🥰
I call it different levels of Chinese manufacturing. You have the bottom of the line that lasts only a couple months, then there's the middle ground where you may get a year or two, then there's the higher class of 5 or more 😂😂 Everything nowadays is a throw away society. Shop thrift stores if you can to get the really old stuff that still runs strong. 😊
p.s. Just thought about the awesome sewing machine you got at the beauty of the dumpola.....brand new super wonderful sewing machine gift for Julie...timing was perfect! I loved that yu got that💙💯

I really disliked my Bruce's obsession with PCH, always buy junk he wanted to win so bad.
Yah they know how to hit the buttons don't they.
