Saw a beehive in the back round, now thats a journey 🐝 have been keeping bees for years and today I saw a Queen coming back from her mating flight for the first time ever, every day is a learning day, great job on the doors by the way and the whole shed,, luv your channel and enthusiasm,,
Thanks John. I kept bees for a few years before living in the van and someone has offered me a nuc of bees so will be getting back into it again soon 😊
Well done Bruce. It looks great. I'm glad you invested in some goggles too. I shelved my camper van conversion idea for now due to financial restraints, but if i come into some money, my project is back on and perhaps you could build it in your new shed.
I know nothing about welding other than I used to work with many welders and ran their safety checks, but I’d have backed that van a bit nearer to the building and saved my legs. Lol. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 doors are great by the way. 👍
Hello Bruce some job on the garage doors and the trolley very handy 😉👋 will you be building a ramp for getting in grand work shop with insulated roof 👌 i like these we projects keeps it interesting your a man of many talents 👍
Hey Stephen. I will be getting Annie’s dad Rory to do the ramp as he is the concrete master so I will be the assistant learning on the job. It was satisfying getting that one off the list
Really enjoyed watching this video, would love to have a smaller version of your barn to store my willow as my stone barn is wrong humidity. I love the way you made doors and the mechanics behind the easy way to open the spring bolts. You must be well happy with it.
Excellent doors , very impressive build , the opening, closing mechanism is pretty awesome. Frame looks good in red . You should be very pleased with yourself 👍💯✅🙂
Nice job on the doors. Been stick welding only a short time myself. Biggest headache is burning holes through the material but I notice your stock was nice and thick. Also those scaffolding towers are very handy. Must get one somewhere.
I had to weld my van back together with an arc welder after crashing it and that metal was very thin. I found it very difficult and admire anyone who can stick weld. The box I had was 3mm. The scaffolding was quikstage 2nd hand stuff. It’s brilliant and got wheels for it afterwards
Fantastic work … liked the smaller insert door. Might be worth having a reciever to hold the doors open when windy. Some accidents occur with large doors in windy conduitions and so sliding doors another option. Thank you for the video …
Haha I have thought that. The big doors will be closed most of the time unless I’m bringing a vehicle in but I’d say I’d be thrown into my polytunnel on a stormy day if I wasn’t careful 😂
Nice one Bruce, doors came out great. I saw a comment above about a beehive, that would make a great addition to the channel and the property, exciting prospect for the future!
It’s hard to cost exactly as I have done it in stops and starts. The slab was about 1k the frame about 2.5k the insulated roof (2nds from Laois) about 1k and the rest of the cladding about 2k including the doors. Hope that helps. I should find all my receipts to figure it out exactly
Great work, impressive for one man, well most of the time. I hope you don’t mind me asking, what did you pay for the structural steel for the workshop and who did you buy it from?
I can’t remember exactly I think the steels were about 2k but would be a bit cheaper if you fabricated them yourself. That’s what I’ll do if I extend it
Hi. Yes I would. I have used them before which is why I bought it. I called the guy who bought my business off me to ask if it’s still doing well and after a couple of years pretty heavy use it’s still going well. Also they have a very good warranty and Siemens electronics
@@OffGridBruce Thanks for that, I'm just about to buy one and the choice is over whelming, I'm setting up my own homestead out in the west and a welder is a must, keep up the good work!
BQ Galway have steel tube metal small amounts to buy check on web site builders metal €35 metal company in Galway only sell two hundred euro worth buckleys one hundred

Wow I never considered using my circ saw to cut sheet metal. AWSOME 👍🙏🇦🇺
It’s a special blade but cuts so much cleaner and straighter than anything else I have tried
