John says it takes about 8 hours. But in looking at it I think that is because there is some cool stuff you can do, like installing the retracts. But it does take a couple hours or so to put the radio in an ARF and get it setup correctly. Nothing hard about it, just fun stuff.
After 25 years of owning and flying a REAL B-35...I can tell you for a fact, there is no such thing as a tip stall, stalls are stalls...nor are there any stall issues with Bonanza's. It also does not need to land faster than any other plane....quite the opposite, they make wonderful short field planes. I could stop mine in less than 900 feet all day long. Like all high performance planes you keep them in the green, fly the numbers and you'll never have an issue. I know three pilots who crashed and died in various versions of the Bonanza's.. only one was a pattern stall and he was over gross, high density altitude day (Reno, NV), and well below the proper approach speed, he turned too sharp on base to final, creating an accelerated stall and spun in. Great looking model, probably get one, paint it like my last B-35.
looks like a really nice plane! Next summer I will have to try one of these! Retracts look really nice and would be fun to use! Also, I haven't had a plane with flaps yet, so that would be a great 'step-up'! Nice video!
When you think about it John's electric retracts are a very nice idea, just plug into the rx, no linkage, no extra servos. I wonder if we can do that with larger models??
Why don't you go to the Horizon Hobby web site and total it up with the parts that you want. Retracts, speed control, motor, interior package, little bit of glue.
i dropped my dx8 while training a friend and broke the gear switch, rudder d/r , and f mode switch. i had to do a belly landing. Where can i get replacements?
Man-o-man, to have unlimited funds.....Unfortunately, not for me right now, but i have a friend who flies Nitro and has been asking me to look into a good scale electric, this would fit his criteria, gotta show him this vid, i'm sure he'd love this one :-)
@rfalls86 If you still do not know what they do then this model is probably not for your skill level. To answer your question, flaps create extra lift (and drag) and no, the retracts are not stock.
Very cool idea with the retracts, got to hand it to you guys you do keep coming up with the goods!
I wish you guys still made these. I always wanted to get one.

sweet plane eflite has done it again
Flaps are required. They come prehinged out of the box. Yes, you can use the flap switch on the DX6i with no problem at all.

Horizon hobby is the best!!!
I love this plane and its awesome that they made giving it the v-tail an option. I used to fly a real bonanza V- tail some. there a lil hotrod
It comes standard with fixed gear, retracts are option parts.
looking forward to getting one!
she is a real beauty!
Looks like all the backorders should be filled by today. Maybe yours is on the way, check your source.
@guzycardenas
The cockpit kit does not include the pilot figures. They are separate.
very nice!
nice! but can you use a normal retract servo for the retracts? those retracts that you can buy are really expensive...
totally beginner question...What does the flaps help with? Also does this models wheels retract stock? Thanks
really cool plane :-)

Hello Horizon,
i MUSST have this plane - like i must have my Rhapsody ;-)
Is the Bonanza even going with the P 25 ? I have one in stock.
i dropped my dx8 while training a friend and broke the gear switch, rudder d/r , and f mode switch. i had to do a belly landing. Where can i get replacements?
Do those retracts come in 90degree rotating?

I really want this plane but I am afraid of tipstall?
does it come with the controller??
are the wheels rubber?
