The problem with analytics is that’s a probability based on all games, it not based on a specific game, if you could do analytics for a particular game, it would say, never go for a tie with Mahones.
It also doesn't take into account the game that's being played. Going for it on 4th and 2 isn't always going to have the same probability if you've been gashing a team for 5-6 yards every run or they've been stuffing your run all game. There's way too many variables to get an accurate probability
well its possible that the analytics accounted for the chiefs with mahomes' possibility of scoring. but i understand what you mean. but i wouldnt be surprised if tb had those numbers
In all 3 OT games this week 9 ,the losing team was in the same exact situation. Each had a choice to hit for 2 points to win at the end of regulation time ,each passed it up for the more sure 1 point to tie and lost in the OT. I think each team did not have a timeout left in reg to plan anything , or catch a breather so the kick for 1 point was looking like the better choice. All 3 teams lost. Coaches seem afraid to take a chance to win it all on one play. Those press conferences must be hell if your one decision results in a loss but to me the 2 pointer is not that difficult in other early in the game situations with less pressure. Anyone know the league-wide success rate on the 2 point try?
I want to pointout that the Lions lost to TB but held them to 20pts with their two best weapons still healthy; meanwhile KC gives up 24 to the same team that is missing their two best weapons, but it's KC with the "better" defense... 🙄 stop with the deglazing of the Lions' D and actually give them some love!
Lions playing the Bucs right now would be a blowout. Goff is always a lil off in the first 2ish weeks of a season. But on one hand I’m happy about it bc it was a HUGE wake up call and they’ve been going insane ever since
As far as Liam Cohen being a top HC candidate next year, this is one of my pet peeves with the NFL (and the pundits who cover it). We seem too quick to crown someone a genius or perfect HC material only to find out later that they aren't (Arthur Smith anyone?). We've seen that this year, with one of the hot young OCs - Bobby Slowik - who's play calling has now come under attack. Is he really that good or was that more about CJ Strong and stronger O line last year? Not sure yet. Maybe we should give these guys a couple seasons to see how they handle change and adversity over a sustained time (Ben Johnson's offense continues to exceed expectations after last year's great run in Detroit, so he could now be a good candidate for a HC job, etc.).
People always say, "Ah well the Packers are such a young team." Which is true. But uh, so are the lions. Now admittedly, especially with the Smith trade they are getting older but their best players are all young as hell.
Did consider that if they made the two points that mahomes would of had the ball at his thirty. With 27 sec. And 3 time outs and only need about 25 yards to get in field goal range.
These two are so late to the party on the Lions it's comical. Domonique is being forced to admit the Lions are that good and he hates it. He'll still NEVER admit Goff is anything more than mid, despite continued historic performances.
Goff is literally an immobile Brock purdy. Game manager, never the best player on the team. Surrounded by great players with a great run game. There’s reason the rams traded him for Stafford.

KC's right tackle left way early on the short TD, illegal procedure, and it wasn't called. The thought process on the time-out is not know, calling Bowels "limited" because of it is a projection.
Im listening to this pod in the line at the polling place, so Im glad I can help Mina on this day! Go Chiefs!
I really think Mina is the best sports analyst! I love her opinion and take on everything, she knows what she is talking about.
MINA!!
Not the smoke alarm chirp?!?! 😂😂😂

Chiefs get the best from every team. They have played and extra season of football when you add up the playoff games during the last 5 years.
Mina is so charming and insightful and smart. Foxworth is a dull drag. I don't know why he's in media.

Heard other shows mention 31% success rate this year.
Adam Thielen not getting traded must have to do with him not being able to pass a physical

Exactly. They don’t want to bring that up though!
Week 9 Lions are not the same team that they were in week 2
Lions fans are almost as sensitive as Bengals fans. 😂

Mina has really kicked up her game with these last few thumbnails!

well when they say young team they mean qb. and goff has played 7.5 seasons and love has played 1.5. not saying its not a conversation but yknow

Buc's O-line is good
I was watching this in line to vote.
The Broncos made 0 acquisitions and that is disappointing 😕
