his mom is right its actual incredibly concerning if that teacher/school thinks its ok to punish being late with keeping kids from the rest of there classes especially when there are arguably more important class throughout the day like English/math. its concerning that the teacher did even speak to his mom about what would make him late to a zero period class. maybe if Berlin lived far from the school she could be more understanding or maybe get his schedule changed. kicking the kid for a non violent act is ridiculous. and for a teacher to actually in act something shows a lot about said teacher.
I also got suspended before for a non violent reason. It sucks

i only got suspended once for fighting in class. but since i didn't start the fight and was defending myself my dad told me to just act like i got a day off.

Something close happened to me.
This dude kept hitting the back of my head and the people beside me told me to hit him on his head and kept nagging me about it. So I got annoyed, got up and hit him on the back of his head right as soon as the principal walked in to check on the class.
My dad also told me to take it as a day off and my parents told them it was out of self defense.
Then after that, the day after that I won a raffle where we turned in Summer work books and they told me to come back and get my prize which was a World Book. Got to say hello to some of my friends and then left to go back home.
It was pretty weird.

Sophomore year I got in trouble just for gasping and my bitch ass teacher somehow concluded that I was bullying others for being dumb when I didn't even talk. I was shy asf even though I knew the whole class and the one time I talk she has a problem with me. My mom believed her and was all "yeah she would do something like that" and that shit messed me up so I got extra quiet; teacher thought I was uncomfortable with her so I got switched to an honors class like a week later.

Year 5 I was elected a student leader and was playing with my friends, and all of a sudden a known school a-hole just straight up took our basketball from us so I tried to take it from him (cause I knew he wouldn’t give it over if I asked) and then he just started punching and kicking me so then I started to push back a little bit, but when he tried to kick me I grabbed his leg and then I had a choice ( walking dead style) I could either hit his leg, flip him over and continue fighting or I could drop his leg and let him hit me...and I chose to let him hit me.after school I told my parents and since my mum is South African...well I’m sure u can figure out what happened.My mum came to school started shouting and yelling at him.The next few weeks people started hearing and talking and this kid who stole the basketball will be named (Tweedle) Dee since he had a twin brother who looked exactly like him, so Dee started spreading rumours that my mum swearing at him which is false.But one day I was in a group with Dee and he started talking crap about my mum INFRONT OF ME!I couldn’t take it I’ve always tried to be a peaceful person but I snapped.So I stood up looked him dead in the eye and told him (by what I remember)said “U TALKING TRASH ABOUT MY MUM DONT EVER DO THAT EVER!Even the teacher was surprised and said barely anything I felt proud of myself.Ive been bullied after that at school but now I’ve vowed to always stand up for myself and others and NEVER be that little weakling child and even my family was proud.So from that day forth I’ve never taken crap about myself ever again.
