I just got an '03 with 33k miles. It's mint. Literally looks like it came off the factory floor. I appreciate your information and experience
No way congrats man what a good find!! Thanks for watching and have fun with the new Z
Can you tell how you got or how much you paid for it? I’m trying to find one and all I find are ones with 100K+ miles usually listed for 10,000, it’s ridiculous
@Nintenjoe I’m not sure about @Ryan Ziegler but I got mine in 2018 for $6k with 82k miles on Facebook Marketplace. It just took a lot of time to wait and find the right one.
The market is getting super saturated with overpriced Z’s right now. Keep waiting and you’ll find what you’re looking for!
@David-1-2-7 I get around 14-21 MPG depending if I’m driving hard or not. Also depends if it’s city driving or highway driving
BROTHER, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! You oooh really helped me!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
im 16 year old high school junior and this is my dream car. right now im doing side hustles and applying for different jobs so i can get one this year or by summer
@BayVFX Keep grinding man you’ll get there! Better than a lot of the other 16 year olds sitting around not doing anything
Just bought my 350z Hr for 6,000 with 100,000 miles last week I had to fix a couple of things not that bad though the next thing I have to get fixed is this little dent in the back bumper
Nice man that’s awesome! Welcome to the Z family. Finding an HR for $6k is a really good deal
@@dominiccampbell6087 it is it just has a couple of things that I have to fix starting with the dent in the back and inside the car the leather seats are worn and I have to get a new dashboard it’s messed up but that’s just a little problem I can fix myself
Haha I appreciate it! That doesn’t sound too bad. After you get everything fixed what’s your first mod going to be?
Bought my Z back in 2018, for $6500 89k miles and all ive spent in the past 4 years is around $800 maintenance wise lol. Reliable af cars
Dang that's good I got 2007 67,000 miles one owner older lady not a scratch on it or inside I'm flabbergasted
Im building my prelude right now but the z is very sick too, you look like my brother btw 😅
No way Preludes are sick too! My buddy used to have one in high school and I loved it. That’s funny I actually get told that by a lot of people 😂
It’s crazy because I had my 2008 350z HR for about 7 months all bone stock down to the intake with paper drop ins and I crashed it, it had 137,000 miles but my insurance paid me 14,000 for the car all together and now I proudly drive a 2015 mustang GT happy as could be but it really do be hitting hard when I see a Z miss that V6 pull & seeing the RPMS shoot to the moon & hearing that exhaust it was amazing!
It said 137,000 miles in the dash but it was swapped with a new HR motor with 70,000 just a FYI!
@Zendy that’s a bummer about the Z I’m sure it was amazing! Honestly mustang GT’s are sweet too my buddy has one and it’s sick!!
Holy. I wish I could be paying $3.80 for premium. Here in Cali, we pay almost $7.00 for premium. And my friend pays $100 for 3/4 of a tank on his Mercedes
Dang! Yeah gas here in Nebraska is about $5.50 for premium right now 😂 the jeep is about $130 to fill up
If you wanna talk gas prices come to Sweden and its like 22kr per litre ($2.2/Litre) 1 gallon is 4.54 litre so about $10 Per gallon. Just cuz of our stupid polititians
Atleast it’s not as bad as the U.K., we’re paying $9 a gal for 99 octane rn
I love your build and I'm wanting to get some new wheels, Any recommendations?
For anyone in the Z market
Stay away from 300zxs unless you’re mechanically inclined
I have two not running
I’ve heard they are great cars once they are up and running. Hopefully you’ll get yours going soon!
@@dominiccampbell6087 Godspeed will do , I’ll be back to update in 6 months
I really do wanna buy a Z they’re so inflated right now it’s not worth it to spend $10k on a 15+ year old car
I agree with you on that! I also believe the price of Z’s will continue to go up just like they are with 240’s, Miata’s, S2000’s, R32’s, and so many other cars. I see this as more of an investment and something I’ll keep for a long time if not the rest of my life.
To me, the age of a car doesn’t matter, it’s the experience you get from driving it that truly matters. Keep looking and I’m sure you’ll find an awesome Z for under $10k! Good luck man! 👍
If you really wanna buy it you pay it - simple as that. You do not really want it. You're in love with a projection
You didnt mention a lot of needed maintenance unless the previous owner did it.
Numerous bushings including the dreaded Differential bushing, for sure a clutch if it wasnt done already, window motors commonly fail, as do door handles, crap synchro's in 03 and 04 many didnt get new gear box. Pull your plugs youll prob find some oil in some tubes.
The list gos on and on,, I love my Z, but Ive replaced a lot parts, so will you within a yr and every year,,,,😆
Yup luckily I haven’t had to experience a lot of that yet but I’m getting into it now! Just replaced the spark plugs for what seems the first time ever (original OEM plugs were still in there) and found oil in 3 out of the 6 😂
I’ve heard a lot about the common issues and I’m definitely looking forward to those “learning experiences”!
Nice video, still got a small question. Are you driving your 350z in winter season ?
Thanks for watching! Not anymore since I have the Wrangler now. I used to ever year in the past though
I bought a ‘03 350z HR for 6,400 with 78K miles but with a Air conditioner issue and few dents but I got everything fixed and I bought it stick but now it’s stage 2 remapped with a racing air filter and Birla car back full system exhaust with muffler delete and after few months after my degree I will move to India and will take it to India and enjoy it there.
@Its All About Cars That’s amazing! Definitely a great deal on that 350z and it’s awesome to hear everything you’ve done with it. Are you originally from India or just moving there?
Yooo I just got a Z just a few months ago for $8000 it’s a 2005 and it used to be owned by Brent Evans a lot of people I’ve met have seen the Z before and new the guy since he drifted it and I am also drifting it first manual and already took it to a drift event. I got full coverage through USAA and is $70 a month and I’m 19 years old
@Carter Pritchard that’s awesome man!! Hopefully you love it. Thanks for watching! ✌️
I’m 16 rn but I’m saving up to buy 350z what thing should I know before I buy it?
That’s awesome! I would say definitely be patient when looking for one. There are a decent amount of them out there that have been abused and you have to be careful with the ones you find. Make sure you use your hard earned money for something you’ll enjoy. If it doesn’t feel right then there’s no problem walking away!
just bought a 07 350z with 86k miles completely stock mint condition i live in california and it cost me $120 for a full tank gas is over $6 a gallon for 91 here i wish i was paying that price for gas rn 😭
@Fernando Hernandez that’s an awesome find for a 350z!! All these numbers were from before gas got crazy expensive 😂 but $120 is wayyyyyy to expensive to fill up the Z I feel bad for you man 😂
Found a manual hr for 6000 with 117k miles needs camshaft sensor should I buy it?
If that’s all it needs then I would get it! New camshaft positioning sensors are pretty inexpensive, you can get a new one from Z1 for $80. Even less at AutoZone or Advance Auto!
Whats your wheel set up? Looks great on the Z!
Thanks man I appreciate it! I’ve got Cosmis XT-006R’s in 18x9.5 +10 all the way around with 255/40 in the front and 275/40 in the rear
@@dominiccampbell6087 Thanks dude! Running a staggered 20x9.5, 20x10.5 +30s on Rohanas on my 37. Looking to square up and drop weight on 18s. Ill keep em in mind they look amazing on her.
For sure! That’s a big wheel but I’m sure they look sick, I love Rohanas. Thanks again man, definitely check out my Instagram (Dom_z33_) if you want to see more pictures of the wheel setup 👍
Do u believe that Z prices or car prices in general will lower in a couple months? I am spending my summer working and I wanna make sure I get a good reliable Z
I believe that car prices will lower in the next 1-2 years in general but Z prices will continue to rise. There’s a huge demand for good condition Z’s and not a lot of supply. That means current owners can start charging whatever they want when they decide to sell.
Be patient and you’ll find the right one for your budget. Good luck! 👍
Buy an 07-08 or an 09 ZR. Save yourself the trouble on the DE and get the HR engine. You'll thank me later! ^^
@@zheiress9367 I’ve been hearing that HR is better, I’ll wait until I see one then. What makes it better than the DE and DE-R?
@@gaelgarcia6552 better modding options. You can push out more to get higher hp
I daily mine and spend ab $3000 in gas a year because 91 is scarce and who tf gets 20mpg in these? Does your foot never feel heavy?
@Brayden Garr All the time! I don’t daily the Z anymore so luckily I haven’t had to deal with how crazy high 91 is right now 😂
the good ol days when cars were affordable is gone
everything goes up except our wages
i wish i live in the US...things are much more expensive over here in germany....GV by the way
That’s too bad things are more expensive. Thanks for watching from Germany!
$40! Over here in England it costs me £120 which is $149 per tank
That’s crazy!! It’s definitely gone up in price over here too. I don’t daily the Z anymore but I’ve heard it’s around $90-$100 to fill it up
@@dominiccampbell6087 yes its not great. So I pay the equivalent of $12 a gallon here in England and I am one of the cheaper areas
@@jakeosbourne1665 $12 a gallon? That’s insane! $6-7 is already too high for me
You said it needs premium is that true I use regular ?
Yup! Premium only, it should say it on the inside of your fuel door
How do u get that much on insurance?
Good driving habits and staying on your family’s insurance will cut the cost down a lot!
Bought an 06 350z HR manual for $5500 extremely happy
@@dominiccampbell6087 basic maintenance and probably keep the engine stock.. it came with bc coilovers so thats already taken care of for me
where should i buy a used z
I would recommend Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist! Otherwise if you’re looking for a dealership you could always use Cargurus, Edmunds, KBB, or Carfax
You do an oil change every 3k miles or 3 times a year? So if you do it 3 times a year you drive just 9k km? Wow okay...
@MonkeyShoulder yup pretty much! This is my second car now and I don’t daily it anymore. I usually only drive it for the summer then keep it in the garage all winter
Every used car is ridiculously expensive.
Just take the "normal" price and multiply it by 1.3
what rims are those???
@chance dupree hey man you can check out my video I did over my wheels!
ua-cam.com/video/6StqsJB_F1k/v-deo.html
How did you make a 350z ugly
Lmfao!! It costs me 140 to fill up mine and that shit sure don’t last me all month.
Lol yup 100% agree! I was taking examples from a few years ago when I was driving the Z daily and gas prices were down. Now it’s more like $80+ to fill the tank!
i wouldnt recommend a Z as a first car no wayy man
@@dominiccampbell6087 i still have that car 6 yrs later and just got a 2015 320i xdrive, looking for another Z once i recoup some of the $$$ spent for the BMW lol
@turboZ lol nice that’s awesome man! I’m sure that 320i took a decent chunk of cash out of your pocket 😂
@@dominiccampbell6087 it sure did and it's going to continue to lol - its hard to find a Z here in detroit, MI that is decent and fairly priced i might have to go out of state for it.
Liability on the Z, full coverage on the jeep! Get rid of the jeep!
@@dominiccampbell6087 I'm I drive my 350z everyday! With full coverage! I have been pricing both 300zx, 370z, or nismo 370z!! Prices are coming down!
It's just another economy sports car... Not sure I understand the point behind this video 😂
No problem, the 350z isn’t for everyone and that’s alright! I made this video for anyone who’s looking to get a Z and wanted to know on average how much it costs to own. When I was looking for a Z I was wondering the same thing.
Thanks for watching either way!
Great video, really useful information and straight to the point. Love it.
Thanks I appreciate it!
