People really shouldn’t be surprised that skil makes good tools. They invented the worlds first portable circular saw in the nineteen twenties and later came out with the worm drive in the forties considered thee best worm drive saw to this day. So
Don’t like the no trigger or having to use a tool to adjust the bevel. But it would work with my 12v impact battery. Trade off from 20v system variable speed dial vs trigger.
Yeah, the Auto takes some getting used to, and I don't like it many times. A lot of people seem to like it a lot. That ring light is definitely nice, and they use one on their impact wrench as well. Thanks for watching.
Goof review! Impressed!!! Didn't think I would like these odd balls with 0 handle and only 12v but I must say that SKIL HAS IMPRESSED THE HELL OUTTA ME ON 12V!! AND THIS ODD ASS NO HANDLE SHIT IS BEGINNING TO GROW ON ME TO!!😊 THEIR BIG ONES HAVE A LEVER ADJ INSTEAD OF A TOOL! WISH TO HELL THEY FOLLOWED SUIT ON THEIR LITTLE GUY!! OTHER THAN THESE 2 THINGS I DONT REALLY SEE A DIFF BESIDES THESE 2 THINGS AND TINY SIZE!! GOOD POWER!! GOOD CUTS!! DEF INVESTING IN SKIL LINES! LOVRLE THEIR OSSMT!!! AND I LOVE THEIR BATTERY AND CHARGER SYSTEMS!!! AND SIZE AND HOW THEY FEEL!! GOOD SHIT AND IM GETTING INTO THEIR LINE ND LOVIN IT!❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉
While this is a great small jigsaw it has one flaw. It’s only smooth operating with a thin scroll blade. Any longer t shank blade, heck even the wood blade that comes with it will make the shaft that’s coming up and down hit the light ring. I m not sure if that’s by design but that’s pretty annoying. Saw still functions but I don’t think that’s good for the saw long run. Also that collet that holds the blade is not very well thought out. I guess all in all that’s what you can expect from a $ 59 jig saw. Def not Bosch or Dewalt level.
@@chellewizzie The battery charges to 25% in 5 minutes... but that's IF you remember to hit the button, IF the battery temp isn't too high or low when you put it on the charger, and IF the battery is drained far enough to activate the pwrjump feature. I bought a 5 piece set for my brother, and it takes closer to a half hour to fully charge the 2 amp hr batteries, but I didn't time it, so + or - some. Pwrjump is faster than the charger included with my xtreme, but that's dewalt"s worst charger. I think the dewalt battery lasts a little longer in use. It's tough to tell without a head to head comparison. I've also used the Bluetooth speaker and light, which I thought were a stretch to call tools, but I really like both, especially at the $150 price I paid for the set. The oscillating multitool appears to be very good, but we haven't used it on a job yet. My one complaint is that the SKIL 12 and 20 volt tools appear to require different chargers, where Dewalt and Milwaukee can use one charger for either. Bottom line is that they are great tools with one small flaw.

Skil seems to be making a good tool line up lately in the 12 and 20v.
Yes, they are revamping the SKIL name and doing a great job. Thanks for watching.
Thanks... getting one due to this excellent review.
Chevron is making some pretty sweet tools.Battery tech is the best

Love my skill circular saw 12 volt
im not a fan of the soft start (have it on my makita) but that ring light looks really nice looks to be a decent little tool

Soft start can be disabled on the Skil, just as it can on the Makita.
I would've liked to see a tool-less shoe bevel adjustment like Ryobi's. (Take notes Chervon!) Thanks for the review!
true but ill take an allen key to change a bevel (which i dont do often) for a barrel grip.
Today, the m12 jigsaw is $50 with a hack, after watching this I think I’m going with this one over the Milwaukee brushed
Q: can I put the Collin coping foot on the base Thanks Frank
Flex high tech coming too skill sweet. was looking at these today at Lowes.didn't see this tool there,I really like it

Hey cool review!
Does it blow the dust outta the way?
It does not have a blower, per se, but it does a good job of keeping the sight path clear. Thanks for watching.

When can you guys check out the skil 12v 3/8 impact wrench?
very soon. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews It would be great if you could compare the 3/8 impact against the Dewalt version.
Shame that Europe's version doesn't have usb ports on battery and charger
Come on DEWALT, make a 12v!
I tried it, not perfect for straight cuts like 90 degree.
Really? Did the blad wander? What material were you cutting and which blade? Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews just 2x pine. I took a square to check and it wasn’t even close
One thing you didn't talk about was battery life.
Sorry about that. Thanks for watching
Does it matter? The battery charges in 5 minutes.

The Milwaukee M12 jigsaw is the worst jigsaw I have ever used in my life. Anything would be better than that M12 one.
STOP SHOUTING OK LOL
It's a habit. I can't hear myself. lol. Thanks for watching.
